Color Fix? - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a color fix for the vibrant? The blue tint is really annoying

What blue tint are you talking about? What did you flash that prompted the blue tint

I have a similiar problem. excessive red on display, turns twitter nearly pink and is leaving red highlights on everything. slowly getting worse. any ideas?

Are either of you running kernals that have voodoo color?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium

yes, running Asguard 3.2. This a replacement vibrant about a month old.

Not sure then, I would suggest flashing a different kernal? But that's just me. Unless the screen is going out on it.

thanx Ill give it a try.

Keep me informed on what happens after flashing a new kernal. Good luck!

No good. Odin to stock, then 2.2 did notice that the superuser update failed to find path to existing su and failed, will try market update fix, may have a su prob.

CM7 has the screen render effect option.

voodoo color settings:
color profile: voodoo
RGB multipliers: red 321, green 321, blue 429
gamma: use alternate settings
that should fix all tint related issues.
cheers.

would that give me the ability to tone the red down? everything else is fine.

Flashing through red recovery? For overstock

So I recently updated from original bionix v to bionix v 1.3.1, using eugene's dead horse 221.
My battery life if pretty good, but I wanna try overstock, and it says to flash through red recovery, but dead horse has a green recovery...
I don't wanna lose my apps again, so how do I go about this without losing apps?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
You have to install a stock + voodoo kernel. You wont lose any apps. Titanium backup is awesome for backing up your apps before flashing.
And that's flashable through green recovery? Also, I won't lose sd contents, will I?

The best bet is to undo any lag fix you are using and then flash. If you do that you should be fine.
Okay, I'm not on any lagfix, on rfs right now, but it's still a green recovery...is that okay?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I just flashed to overstock yesterday using CWM, was reading the posts about the red recovery thing. and they were saying meant that if your recovery screen was red you had voodoo lag fix on. i think one guy was having issues because he didnt have the voodoo lag fix on, his recovery screen was blue or green (sorry cant recall).
overstock runs pretty nice on my stock 2.2 KA6. my quadrant have all been about 1500+ with out any overclocking. i got it for the voodoo sound, had the voodoo lag fix previously.
Phi is incorrect..you can have a red recovery without voodoo enabled. OP you need to flash the kb1 stock + voodoo kernal from supercurios thread and then you can flash overstock. Your choice if you want to use voodoo though.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Just did it. I'm on voodoo now...does it really make a difference? Cause I just want better battery life...and I'm also noticing some interference on my screen since installing overstock....it's random though

It seems to work out of the box for most. Make sure you haven't changed any of the led color settings to a dark color, and make sire you don't have quiet hours enabled with dim led checked.

For me it worked right out of the box. I'm running CM7 build #58, and I upgraded from a previous build, and was running Glitch. The notifications stopped working after the upgrade, so I re-flashed Glitch and it was back up and running like gold.
Well ive reflashed several times and still no led notifs) :
Maybe its worth noting that on kernel du jour, led notifs with bln were buggy; if i got a notif, lights twitched,then i had to touch them to make them light up

O yea..it work beautifully...now..if only someone could come along with the skills to work magic to fix the other common issues with CM7...then this would be perfect
I couldn't use CM7 before cause volume was too low to hear anyone...now..I can seriously consider using CM7 has a daily driver.....
AWESOME work!!
Actually man, could you do this to jt's vanilla gb kernel cause I can't stand the color changes in Glitch? Thanks again for your hard work.

Boot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache. Always solves the problem the times its happened to me.
But OT, this kernel makes MIUI and CM7 usable as a daily driver finally. All MIUI needs is to fix the video recording and its my permanent rom. CM7 I find no issues with whatsoever that I'm aware of or experienced except call audio. Great job on the fix to this huge issue. You'll get a donation from me once my paycheck goes through OP.

Until Efpophis or Glitch modify the 90screenstate so that the governor can be changed to user's liking, here is a flashable zip with modified 90screenstate module. This will let you change the CPU governor when the screen is on instead of it changing to ondemand everytime. On the other hand, if your screen is off, your governor will be set to conservative, to save your battery, only when the screen goes off. You don't have to wipe cache or anything, just flash from your CM7 recovery.
Also for people who are complaining about the colors, here are my settings that you can start with. I'm not saying these are the perfect settings, but I think I have it pretty darn close. Black is pure black, white is white, and colors are poppy. I have my screen brightness pretty low, so the colors may be too bright if you have the screen brightness up high.
Color multipliers:
Red = 3149642880
Green = 3149642880
Blue = 3681400640
RGB Gamma hack:
Red = -30
Green = -34
Blue = -30

[Q] Notification leds???

hi, i know there is not a notification led on GS2! ( bad) , but im wondering if the roms here can added this on our phones?? or can someone make a zip file so we can see the blue red yellow colors when received calls/sms/etc....
i know we can use some app from the market! thanks a lottttttttttttttttt and sorrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy
on the siyahkernel BLN i think its called is supported, where the menu and back buttons flash or light up while the screen is off, there is no way to make them change colour as there are no coloured LED's installed apart from white... hope this helps!
You could also try noled from play store, pretty fun

LED color for CM7.2

Hey guyz...
Recently started using CM7.2 and the 1 thing i loved a lot is the notification light implementation. Totally fantastic...and i was juat wondering if this loght could hv different colors...like red, blue, etc. Also could i set it different for different stuffs...like blue for whatsapp, red for missed calls, etc
Could this be done as well ??
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA
Nope, streak only has white leds under the capacitive sensor. I do however remember seeing someone who soldered a different color led into their streak though it still wouldn't change to a different color as you'd described.
Useless thread started that could have been avoided if you had done a quick Google search. Come on moderators... why are you so quick to repremand those that flame the noobs but yet nothing happens to the noobs that break the first rule of forum politics... SEARCH
