Ringtones on Eclipse v1.1 - Motorola Droid X2

I upgraded to eclipse v1.1 today and everything works fine. The only little hang up is the fact that my personalized ringtones aren't working. I was on P3droids pre-rooted 2.3.3 and sbf'ed directly to 2.3.4 then applied eclipse and I use GoSMS for messaging.
Can anyone out there help me?

It's just a bug for now. I have the same problem. I bet it will be fixed in a latter issue of Eclipse.

It has to deal with the AOSP contacts. It is on the top of my list though.

Your the man Nitro! Are you working on the dialer size/issues too?

I don't mind the dialer size
My biggest "wish" is to have the ringtones problem fixed. Everything else works fine for me!
Thanks for the hard work Nitro!!

would love to have this on our phone.

that would rock
+1 for this mod
Would be interesting to see how well it works.
You can get swype currently from their site, if you miss swipe, has a couple bugs on TB but works fairly well.

Im still using swype but it bugs me that I have to use handscent to get the auto caps and auto spacing to work for texting.
Maybe htc purposely built their messaging app this way so people wouldnt want swype and would look for an alternative?
HTC phones are also the only phones you need to switch swype off then reselect it to get it to work after a reboot.
FlexT9 works perfect in the mean time. Seems to do the same stuff, but FlexT9 has handwriting recognition + swype + voice input + QWERTY + Compact QWERTY.

Nope, Swype did that on the OG Droid as well. Was one of the reasons I stopped using it. Using Flex T9 now and loving it.
I've been playing with that on the doubleshot port. It's cool.

Would there be any way to port just this mod to the Thunderbolt? I'm using a modded version of Swype that works great but I think this would be even better.

Cool I found the flex t9 version here is the link. Works great so far...

Depending on the rom this would happen on a d1 I know it would happen with miui but not on cm6

[ Q ] new cm6 update

Everything appears to work for me on this but..... I don't seem to get picture text. Anyone shed some light on this for me. Thanks in advance!

Unless I missed something CM6 is not currently being developed (working on CM7)
MMS (picture messages) are broken in AOSP roms at this pont.
I flashed the 6-3-11 update jt put out for cm6. My phone works great .. just no pic text ... I know mms has been an issue. Wasn't sure if it was working in this or not. Its cool though .. I still got email for pics.

I guess I did miss something
Speculation, JT will get it working on CM7 then may fix it on CM6. Although it we had a fully working CM7 then that would be the place to be!
Amen to that. I ran cm7 for awhile and love it. When its up and running I'm on it for sure . Thanks for the quick response.

[Q] Best Torch App

I've tried several torch apps and I am currently using the tiny flashlight with the widget. On the incredible all of the torch apps worked well and the widgets worked instantaneously. On my X2 I've had several of the apps cause reboots and while the tiny flashlight widget works it takes about 5 seconds to kick in. Any recommendatins on apps or settings would be much appreciated. I'm rooted, supercharged, and I've frozen the bloat. I had theses issues before root and on every x2 I've used (7 of them).
Tiny flashlight has been updated to address the X2 problems. Thanks to member juhde for letting us know about the update. I can finally rest easy again.

That was my first choice and I had issues with it before I went looking for a new one. I actually haven't tried since I did all of the recent tweaks. Does it work without any lag on your x2?
tesla locked up upon first use & quit responding, but now works, but lags like the other I tried
I just open the Camcorder app and turn the light to on. It works flawlessly.

Yeah, that works, but its not very convenient or fast. I live in the sticks and its pitch black at night out here. Its nice being able to unlock and hit a button to get a light quickly when you here something crashing through the woods. Prob just have to wait for ginger or cm7 to fix the problem.

It's not really a widget, but since the light comes on right away, its the quickest light I've seen so far. I'll stick with this one till ginger comes out thanks.
Nexus torch. Great app that also has a widget for one click flash on your home screen.

No luck. Runs about the same as the rest. Doesn't see my root for the high brightness either. Wonder what's up with that. Sticking with the Motorola one for now.

Well I don't even use the camcorder, so I just keep the light setting to on all the time. Then I keep the shortcut on my main homescreen, so all I gotta do is click it, and bam, glorious light. (I also live in the sticks..)
Tiny flashlight just had a update specifically addressing the x2 problems. Works a treat now.

Works great, just like it used to.
hmm, still a bit slow for me, I like that Tesla has a toggle switch widget, much more convenient.
ok, I installed the TeslaLED Beta
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133393
and its the best one yet, much snappier than the alpha release or tiny flashlight
plus a toggle switch!
Not to shabby.

Eclipse 2.3 lag at home screen

Hey all... I'm on eclipse 2.3 using holo launcher plus and I'm experiencing a lot of lag coming out of apps back to the home screen. I've tried going back to the eclipse launcher but having the same issues. Everything worked great for the first few days then started acting up... Any help would greatly be appreciated. Btw, awesome ROM nitro!!!
mightmight want to re-flash i havent had this problem. and this seems like the best eclipse release yet.
Lorenzo may me right, haven't experienced any lag at all with 2.3. Are you running anything extra over top of it?

The only other thing I have installed was the Holo locker... Since uninstalling that things have improved. I'm not sure why but it was using a lot of ram.

I had a similar issue with 2.2.1 and Go Launcher... may have been your issue.

[Resolved] Unable to send MMS on RAZR Miui Rom

I am currently running the Miui ROM on my Verizon CDMA xt912. It runs nicely except one thing. I am unable to send MMS on the native messaging app. And even sometimes on the go SMS app. I put the apns from my stock ROM so theoretically it should work. Nothing....
I remember having the same issue on the miui ROM s in the past with other phones but I can't remember how it was fixed.
Any thoughts.... Idea?....
Any help will be great.

I actually got it resolved. It was an issue with the size of the MMS being sent. Changed it in the settings and works well now. Still can not use the native app but that is OK.
Thanks for the response
