there is any way to stop automatically screen time out - turn off so it always stay on but is only locked, or wake up on another button besides power button, since I have a huge issue wake up screen.
AFAIK, the only way to lock your phone is by turning the screen off. If you left your screen on all the time, your battery would die after a couple of hours.
Download widgetsoid from the market. Theres a widget to keep screen on but I dont think it would be locked.

Hi,
After rooting, I noticed that the screen timeout function is no longer working properly.
My settings are set to have the screen turn off after 30 secs of being idle but I have notice this working only at times.
Anyone else experiencing this with their atrix rooted?
Thanks,
Harry

Any one know how to have the screen not time out in calls? I want the screen to time out and i like setting the power button press to end calls
But with setting combo when the screen times out in a call you can not wake up the screen without killing the call

Download "Screen On" from the Market and put a checkmark on "An Active Call" so it never goes to sleep.

Does "Screen On" affect the Proximity Sensor, or just keep the device from locking?
Not sure. Don't remember it messing with the sensor. I used it a lot while on CM7 with my other phone and it always worked stellar.
All I can say is give it shot and see if it works the way you want. On my phone, if the screen goes dim all I have to do is tap the power button and takes me right back to the "in call" screen.
My tethering internet speed is dramatically slower using Wireless Tether when I turn the screen off (about 1/5 of the speed compared to when the screen on my phone is left on). I was wondering if this was normal, if theres a way to fix this, or if there are any other apps that will give me full speed even when the screen is turned off. It's annoying to have to keep the screen on and it drains the battery very fast. Also note that I don't have my CPU set to scale down when the screen is turned off.
Unchecked Disable wake/lock in settings you will be good to go.

I have tried to search the forum, but could not find any thread. When I am on a phone call, the display/screen turns off and I am using speaker phone or bluetooth. In the call settings, the turn on proximity sensor is disabled or off.
When I am in a phone call, I want to see the screen turn on to see details and very seldom put the phone to my ear.
Hopefully, somebody can help me resolve my problem.
Thank you..
Maybe changing the screen sleep time to a, max of 10 minutes?

With the sensor turned off, it sounds like its the standard screen timeout kicking in. I use Screen On, which overrides the timer for apps you specify, including an active call.
This bugs me too.
Anyone have a Tasker profile they could share for this?
My screen timeout is set to 10 minutes, since I thought that was the case. But as soon as I am on a call,, between 15-30 seconds, the screen is black and I have to press the power button to bring back the display.
Thanks for the advise and hope somebody can help us..
You could still try Screen On. When you bring up its list of apps, "Active Call" is the very first checkbox. Just make sure you also check the "enable" checkbox at the top-left of the list, too.
Your screen turns off during a call to conserve battery power. You don't reallt need the screen on while the phone is to your ear anyways. The proximity sensor detects this, and turns the screen off. As far as I know, there is no way to turn it off.

Most people use a build prob tweak called
ro.lge.proximity.delay=25
mot.proximity.delay=25
Here's a thread related to the issue,,mine works fine after tweaks,

No go using this app. I tried on speakerphone and it still shuts the screen off.

I used AppAutoSettings to keep my screen on when on a call on my GSII.

Interesting. Sure enough, I tried turning the prox sensor off and enabled "active calls" in Screen On, rebooted, and it still turned off.
