Hi guys,
after reading all of the threads about Google Music without find a solution, I've to ask if someone has been able to install Google Music and using it.
I've a stock Samsung Galaxy ACE, I've an account to Google Music already activated, and I've already successfully used Google Music app in my old HTC Tattoo with CyanogenMod ROM, but none of the apk founded seems to function on my ACE (some closes after the start, some does not find any songs in my list)
Thanks in advance
XWKS2 - 2.3.5 working
http://bayfiles.com/file/17HH/MwLBsN/Music4.0.apk
thanks,
it installs on my ACE, but no "Music" appears on Google sync settings neither music appears in library (I've more that 70 songs added on my Music account). Plus, in music settings there aren't login information and no request to access Google Account asked after first time run.
I've tryed to uncheck "Automatic restore" in Privacy Android settings and check/uncheck "Auto-sync" as I've read in other threads but without results.
What can I try now?
try it with market enabler works for me

..but not for me
the same problems of the installed apk: it does not sync with my Google profile
For me Gmusic 3.01 (from apktop.com, as I am not in the US) works with the ace.
4.01 won't install.

Nothing to do. It installs but tells me that my library is empty and it does not ask me any authorization to access my Google account....and no "setup" options are displayed in application menu
What can I do?

Yeah it's in there, click "top free" from the homepage of Market and scroll down or search for it.
Cinabnett, you couldn't find any references to people already using Market on the HD2?
...can probably close this one
Maps should come preinstalled, but there is an update to 4.4 which adds the Places app to the drawer.

I`ve alredy do that many times, useless. I`ve tried and entering from Google.com launching Google Maps from those aplications ( along with Mail, Books, Pictures etc. ) and it "redirect" me to Android Market, showing that it couldn`t find the maps.
It`s posible to be some kind of restriction ?
Edit. thnx mr_bilionaire.

If you still can't find it or haven't tried, go to the Market and search "Google" or if u want I can upload a QR code so u can scan it and it will take u straight to the app in the market.

It looks like there is some kind of restriction.
Look for an app called Market Enabler. It will allow you to change your region code.
Then you will have access to more applications.
Some Google Apps Won't Update
I get the notifications from within or Market on on the Status Bar that updates are available, specifically for Maps (to 4.5), and for the gMail app. However, when I attempt to install them, the install always fails. Similarly, I am unable to install the Google Sky Map (?) application for the same reason.
I'm running Darkstone's FroyoStone Sense v2.
Any clues, suggestions, or ideas?

Try unmounting your sd card, this can be done in settings, and then reinstalling the apps. re-mount your sd card after installing.

Yes, un-mounting your SD card will do the trick. I cannot install any google apps until I do this. Google Maps, Google Earth, GoogleS kyMap etc.
I just came across this just now. According to Droid Life, there is a new google music apk when the test market was accidently released. I was curious if anyone has gotten sync to work? Possibly using titanium to remove the HTC music app then installing the new google music apk? I'm currently tied up at work and school and unable to test this out.

Look over in the development forum. I posted a copy of the leaks. The music app works without uninstalling anything.
Thanks!

Under Accounts & sync, click Google. You should now have a 'Sync Music' option.
I tried this last night and never really got it to work properly. I have like 10 gigs of music on my phone and it continued to sync all night and through today. I finally chose to shut off the sync option and run with what's on my phone. Not like I'm running out of room with this monster sd card lol. I'll let them get it officially up and running first. I just clicked on the instructions link in the other thread. They're easy to follow, all seemed to go smooth. Dunno. Maybe it does work, and I should have chose to test with just a few songs instead.
Hello All,
The topic says it all.
I am having Samsung Galaxy S2 with Cyanogen Mod which i recently updated to nightly build 7-11162011-NIGHTLY.
Even with this update and with the stable build whenever I go to the market to install Google Maps and Latitude, it always this application is not available in your country, which us kinda hard to believe.
Interestingly remaining within the very same country I can install and use Google Maps and Latitude Symbian version on my old Samsung Omnia HD i8910.
So does anyone know or have anyone tried to install all such google apps with country restrictions.
Thanks for your support.
Try using Market enabled app, its on the market but you need root access for it (I guess you have, if you have custom ROM)
It allows to fake the location to Market app, bypassing the location restrictions. Just open the app, press and hold the Network/Location you wish to fake and select fake the provider. Then just go to market app, restrictions should be gone.
Its very useful for this weird cases.
Hope it helps.
Hello all
I doubt if this thread exits already cause i tried to search and cannot find there (if yes please post here if possible).
The question is why doesnt show 3 apps official like google play TV, music and books?? Maybe cause we use root for this? sound a bit stupid for me...
When i check site its show me not compatible my device.
But by checking here https://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1727131
its seems support already on SHG-I777 so what wrong? (maybe cause we use CM7 and is not original?)

If you are using CM7 then you need to download GAPPS for CM7 from http://goo.im/gapps/ You will need a Gingerbread version and flash in recovery.
Also, somebody correct me if I am wrong here, I believe Google Play (formerly Google Market) now consolidates music and books as well as apps. There is a separate Google Music app also available in the Google Play Store.

Yes it does but there are also separate apps. You just buy them in the play store the use the app in the separate app.
Hello,
I am using HTC explorer (Android 2.3.5) for about a month now. For the past 2 days I am facing a strange problem. I am unable to download apps from Google Play via internet pass through. I am able to browse the internet but when I try to download any application, a grey bar appears saying "Waiting for network" and it never ends. I am able to download the same apps through Wifii. I tried all the possible solutions to make this work (hard reset, soft reset), but found no luck. I changed the default 2GB sd card with a 4GB sd card same days back. But even after that I was able to download via internet pass through. This is little strange. Can somebody help me in this respect.
Thanks in advance,

Try to clear cache and data of play store
I'm having the same issue. I've used internet pass through on my EVO 3D for quite a while, thinking about changing plans to less data. Pass through works fine for almost everything, but suddenly won't download Google Play updates. But if I clear data and cache, it then thinks there is no update. It is as though it updated, but doesn't recognize it as having completed. The one thing I haven't been able to update ever by PT is new maps for CoPilot Live. It absolutely insists on wi-fi.
Clear data from google services framework, fixes most problems with Google apps.

Thanks for your replies guys!!!
I cleared the data of google services framework, play store but still the problem exists. I am still unable to download from play store via internet pass through
SOLUTION
Hi there,
go to settings> applications>put a tick mark or select unknown sources . Ur problem wil be solved.
Thanks G_IVAR, for posting a reply. But the option is already checked. The only way is working is to settings--> applications--> Manage applications--> Google Play Store and click on Uninstall updates. The Play Store disappears on the phone and the Old market appears. Now when i try to download any application (with internet pass through), the download starts (making me happy) and disappears within 5-10 seconds. When I check my phone this time, again Google Play appears instead of Market. I think the Google guys have made something so that the market apps doesn't download with internet pass through (with a USB cable).

This probably won't help, but I'm curious. What happens if you go to Google Play via a PC and try to do a remote install that way?

Thanks for contacting us about this issue- it sounds like you're having general connectivity issues. It's frustrating for us when users have problems with connectivity, because there is only so much we can do before you need to contact your service provider. However, I'd like you to try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve this quickly:
- Reboot your device
- Confirm that the app Google Authenticator is up to date - visit Google Play, then tap My Apps to see if you have an update available
- Sign in and out of Google Talk to restore connection to our servers:
1. Go to your device’s app launcher, and press the Talk app
2. If you’re already signed into Talk, press Menu, and then touch Sign out
3. Launch Talk again to sign in (if you are unable to sign in, please let me know)
- Clear the cache of the Google Play Store app (Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Play Store > Clear cache)
- If you're using WiFi, ensure firewalls are not blocking access to ports required for Google Play (TCP and UDP 5228)
- Confirm that there is strong connectivity on your device, and contact your mobile service provider if you aren't connected
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please let me know, and I will continue to investigate the problem - any other detail you can provide about the issue and how/when it occurs will be extremely helpful. Have an excellent day.
Hi there,
I'm using a Sensation, and also having this problem. It's really most annoying.Any idea how widespread this problem is, or if it is something that Google has disabled deliberately?
Me too... but I'm able to download using JellyBean... but ICS can't..
