How to reset counter with the Jig, instructions on building one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1068522 If you don't want to build one, get it from eBay.
No other way to reset counter as far as I know (but I'm a noob! ).
Here's a good thread for flashing stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1110160
There are two ways, I did the way listed in the first post. Pretty easy even though there are more steps.
Follow the instructions EXACTLY and you should be okay. Hope this helps.

[Q] CWM flashable stock nordic ROM?

I cannot find any stock ROM:s with the ability to flash from cwm. Found a thread that one guy had the same problem in his usb port (not possible to use odin). I'm currently on CM7 and got to flash stock rom before sending my phone for repair. If someone can help me I would highly appreciate.
In the other thread I mentioned hadn't seem to get this problem solved so I thought that this headline would get more attention
I believe that there are non at all flash able by CWM most likely location would be stock rom post .

I would imagine that it would be easy for some ROM cooker to make such a ROM if I donate some inspiration ? I think that the latest official ROM is KF3 here in Scandinavia.

Might be missing something here - a very nice 2007 Sancerre, going down quicker than Pammy on honeymoon - but what's wrong with:
find another pc with a USB port that works
flash stock Nordic KF3 on Odin
flash unsecure (insecure?) kernel
reflash zImage from KF3
buy a jig to reset counter
Clean phone, ready for warranty - er det noe jeg har oversett/something I've missed?
Possible, damn fine wine.
I would do just that but it's the phones USB port that is broken so that odin is out of the question. Tried with all my 3 PC:s and with 2 USB cables but it's a no go

[Q] Reset binary counter for I9100G?

I've a GT-I9100G with 3e recovery. Tried the old bootloader from Intratech's thread. But Odin failed (see image). I got it working by flashing the stock bootloader.
So here I assume old bootloader isn't compatible with I9100G, right? I've searched but everyone is pointing to the same bootloader used for I9100. While none of the G's owners reported back their success (or failure).
Any other ideas on how downgrade to be able to reset counter with a jig?

An i9100 is not a i9100G and they have different firmwares so the bootloader is also different. You could try and reflash an older firmware until there is and older flashable bootloader.Although once the new bootloader is set i dont know if its changable. If you know what older firmware you need I could look for it.
yea figured that pretty much. However the phone came loaded with the mentioned firmware. I tried to figure which firmware was compatible with it but no luck.
Any idea, resource or list one could look into? and how much old of firmware should one try to get the 2e recovery? I read somewhere that 3e was introduced on Android v2.2
Thanks cooza. I hope someone could point me to the right direction on this one.

its quite possible that the G-series being released after the i9100 international came with the new bootloader pre-installed from the factory and that will be why its so hard to find a solution.I can only guess that in time with new firmwares someone will be able to find a way to make the old i9100 bootloader compatable with the newer series phones like the G,M and T galaxies and hopefully it will be Odin flashable to help other owners out.
Pls help

sorry to bumping old thread..
i reset my counter with flash back with ODIN.
just flash PDA with stock DZKI1
no need pit and no need repartition..
after that just flash any rom and i can use USB Jig to reset the counter..
Here is a patch for the i9100g.
It is the bootloader from firmware DZKJ2.

Use ODIN and flash this file with checked bootloader option.
Then you can use JIG to reset the binary counter.

[Q] Need to Unroot and get back to stock ROM.

Hello, Firstly i am sorry to ask as i know there is already a general topic on this in various posts, and i do have the basic jist...but i wanted to ask this so i can be CERTAIN that the info i get is correct for my setup.
So my SGS2 on Virgin mobile.....was rooted with Chainfires rooting method, then flashed with Villainrom.
Here are the infos as of now.
Android version : 2.3.4
Baseband: 19100XXKH3
Kernel: Ninphetamine 2.6.35
Villainrom 2.4.2
So basically i need to get the phone exactly how it was when it was new from the store, Unrooted and on the stock rom.
Please could somebody give me a short guide on how i can do this? i would really appreciate the help
Find carrier specific stock firmware here or if your carrier isn't listed, get country specific firmware here.
Follow the instructions & you shouldn't have any problems. If you need to return your phone for warranty service, do a factory reset & use a jig to reset the flash counter.

Do wipe data/cache from CWM recovery, wipe dalvik cache and flash the Stock ROM ( version that came wtih your phone ) from Intratech thread via odin.
Your phone will be in stock condition.
hope this helps!

Thankyou for your reply and help, but im not sure which version came with my phone
Is there a way to find this out?
XWKI4 - XEU(UK) seems to be the best choice. I've also checked with CheckFus to see if there's a Virgin specific rom available (there isn't).
At the end of the day, you void your warranty the moment you flash non-stock firmware.
In saying that, as long as you re-flash stock firmware, do a factory reset to get rid of any apps that might tip off whomever fixes your phone that you've rooted it, and use a jig to reset the counter, you more than likely won't have any problems with warranty service.
If you're looking for 100% absolute guarantees of this, there aren't any.

You can easly remove the yellow triangle reflashing an original samsung kernel via Odin. You can take it from sammobile. However the counter in download mode will not be reset. But dont worry, no one will look in download mode (personal experience).
Or, you can use a jig usb. You can take if from ebay.

also eng.mohamed851
are you in ics or gb because triangle away works only for ics.
Triangle Away does not work on I9100g.. It says MAGIC HEADER NOT FOUND.
May be we need to request its developer to make it compatible with I9100G also..

Why do people continue to post offtopic crap in development sections?
This forum is for developments, not questions or general discussion or the "I cant use search button" forum
Questions go in Q&A.
Discussions go in General.
Developments, ie ROMS, Kernels, Mods, Reference etc goes in appropriate device dev forum.
How hard is that to comprehend???

How to install old bootloader and reset counter?
I have a Galaxy s2 GT-I9100 and unsuccessfully attempted to root the phone and the counter is on 5.
Current state of the phone is that it can only access download mode.
Tried a jig, that didn't work. Next tried to install old bootloader using Odin this also failed.
Initially the phone was running ICS and I believe I must have attempted to install an incompatible root kernel.
My intention was to reset the binary counter and then use Kies to restore the original firmware.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
