Hi everyone! Thank you for your help in getting CM up to a flawless standard! We are now almost ready to deploy CM 1.5 - it will include MMS blocking, Class0 auto replies and many other new and very cool features.
We need your help now to iron out any remaining bugs before we embark on a daemon rebuild. Please download the app from the market and get testing! Here are the issues we want to address specifically:
- If you have problems regaining 3G after the telephony restart. This should have been fixed. If not, please try "Slow radio restart" in Debugging and report your results!
- Issues moving list priorities on Light or Dark theme. Again, if you have issues, please switch to the other theme, try again and then report back.
- Notification color schemes. We are interested if the new notifications comply with the majority of frameworks.
Thank you in advance for all your great work, this ultra-awesome app is as much a child of yours as it is of ours

This is a fully functional application. However, after a 24 hour demo period it will start nagging you to buy the Key, which will remove all nag
screens and timeouts from the interface. The nag screens are pretty light though, so users who dont want to spend can live with them.
Screens - VIEW GALLERY
Very cool. Will try this out and report back with my findings.
EDIT: After launching app (and giving SU permissions) 3G and all signs of data to and from my phone are gone. Uninstalled app and it's data, manually turned off data and turned back on and 3G appears once again.
The data connection will return, you just have to wait a bit.

I lost signal for a few seconds but then it came back, 3G never came back.
It should come back within a few minutes. This happens on many phones.
Please check by doing the following:
Uninstall, reboot.
Install, enable, grant root.
Keep screen on for 2-3 minues.
Tell me what happens.
OK guys, please sens some SMS to any number and then click "Write to us" in settings. We need to check how the SMS system functions currently.
Thanks.
Oh and did you check?
Logs sent!
Updated to r17,
- Tweaked password protection and hidden mode
- Added LED notifications
- Added private conversations
R19
- Many UI bugs fixed
- Help fixed
- Added data connectivity on CDMA/LTE workaround (beta)
We have released R19 - this fixes much of the help and (hopefully) data connectivity on CDMA phones and LTE enabled phones.
Data connectivity needs to be tested. This is very important. It may not work, but even if it doesnt you should send logs so we can finally fix this annoying issue on some of the lte phones and a few others.
So as usual, test connectivity by keeping your screen on at first boot, and then sending logs with a description!
Thanks!
R20 - works perfectly thanks.
How about R24? Everythig working or still data problems?
Any issues to report?
None here, this has always worked perfectly for ,me!
Фтнерштп ещ кузщке,
Ignore that! Even i dont know what i wrote there...
So, has anyone had a chance to do some testing?
Any issues with 1.2.0?
Any issues to report with 1.2?
By the way, for those that dont know we released an app called SwitchMe that will, among other things, give you EVEN MORE PRIVACY:

Please check it out!
Any issues to report?
Its working perfectly here! Thank for this awesome app!

You may know that I am working since a long time on a touch user interface, and a Touch Pro version is planned, taking advantage of G-sensor, touch-sensitive control pad and accelerated graphics.
At the moment I can't work on Touch Pro version because firstly my PC is dead, and I planned to invest in an HTC Touch Pro but unfortunately I need to get a new PC first, so Touch Pro will have to wait... But it will come sooner or later and as for the other devices, I would ask now for motivated and experienced testers to participate to a private beta.
I need only about 20 people so I will choose first people who could really help me, better is if you have WM cooking or development knowledges. I don’t want to get thousands of messages asking “please please send me the ROM” like it was in the other threads, so please don’t ask me to participate if you don’t have solid arguments. If you are interested, let me a post here with your skills, and I will contact you later by PM if you are selected.
This thread is open to suggestions.
More info about TouchXperience User Interface and video demos:
http://www.touchxperience.com/
TouchXperience is the Next Generation User Interface for Windows Mobile, finger friendly and highly customizable, it offers many interesting features: program launcher, contacts manager, home screen, appointments, messaging, task manager, profile and event manager, call log, control panel, communication manager,...
TouchMenu is probably the most powerful and customizable menu, replacing original Start Menu for an innovative touch interface. TouchMenu supports finger scrolling and gestures, for example you can switch from a menu to another by sliding your finger left/right, or display context menu by a long press on the screen. You can also scroll menus using G-sensor. Each menu has four different views (large list, small list, large grid, small grid). As the rest of the future user interface, TouchMenu has a nice Vista/WM7 look.
TouchMenu has various built-in menus :
- All Programs (Start Menu replacement)
- Active Programs (Task Manager)
- Recent programs
- Favorite programs
- Settings (Control Panel)
- Documents
- Favorite websites
- Contacts
- Messaging
- Appointments
- Tasks
- Calls (Call Log)
- Communications (Comm. Manager)
- RSS feeds
- Power Actions
- End Actions
- One Touch Settings
But you can do much more by creating your own custom menus where you can add contacts, program shortcuts, website links, system actions (for example: reset device, rotate screen, sound profile, clock, brightness backlight, WMP status,...) or links to other menus. You can also replace icon for each program/folder/contacts/menu with a custom image.
TouchHome is a fully customizable screen where you can add various widgets and graphical elements (clocks, indicators, today items, texts, images,...). By default, TouchHome displays when you turn your phone on. You can make your own graphics and layout using XML. TouchHome can be also used as screen unlocker (unlock screen by sliding finger, by double tapping, by shaking device, using navigation scroll wheel,...).
Use GPS or cell-based geo-positioning to determine current location and create profiles for each location.
Custom Events is a powerful application which execute predefined actions when custom events occur. The principle is simple, each custom event is defined by:
- A basic event (application changed, location changed, new message, new incoming call, battery charging, device cradled, headset connected, Wi-Fi network detected, internet connection detected, ,...)
- Eventually some conditions (date/time, current application, current location, specific words in message, caller identity,...)
- An action (launch application, display notification, enable flight mode, turn on Wi-Fi, change profile, send message, ,...)
There will be hundreds of events and actions, so possibilities are very large! Here are some examples:
- Enable flight mode during nights
- Connect to Wi-Fi while battery is charging
- Deactivate alarm when I turn my device face down
- Put phone in silent mode at workplace
- Remind me to buy bread when I’m near to the bakery
Supports finger gestures on touch-sensitive control pad (experimental, for HTC Touch Diamond/Touch Pro only) to execute different system actions, in this way you can have up to 8 “virtual buttons” on your device.
Supports display auto-rotation navigation using G-sensor (experimental, for HTC Touch Diamond/Touch Pro only).
TouchXperience User Interface is designed for a future usage of hardware accelerated 3D graphics for an outstanding experience!

i dont think i really qualify as the best candidate for beta testing because i am not a developer but if you need a corporate every day power user I fit in I use my device constantly with blackberry functionality as well so maybe that is valuable to you.
Also wondering what the cost of the UI will be once you release it?

hmmm considering the donation now........ OK not a problem Would like to try it though. I am all for helping to support such innovative causes
I've alot of experience testing various hardware and software platforms. Most of it comes from testing php/sql, as well as a bunch of various hardware platforms including most current gen video game hardware/OS software.
I'm fairly well versed in Windows Mobile, but don't have the experience with it that some other people here have. However, I think my experience in other areas will prove useful.
Schap man,
Been looking forward to this new Touch Experience interface for quite a while as you implemented it in alot and hopefully will change the winmo xperience.
Will your Touch Pro ROMs include TFL3D or is it removed/replaced with your TouchXperience?
How much bigger is the ROM size in comparison with other ROMs? (not that I'm really concerned with that with Touch Pro but also for Kaiser)
Any date estimate on TP's release date?
Thanks man and looking forward to it
Hi Schap,
I am not an experienced cooker, but I have been flashing my Device with many roms on this forum. I received my Touch Pro on Thursday and as you can see by my Signature I have already flashed it with DCS's ROM and installed your advanced config + registry editor
I will test as much as I can and feedback as much as I can if you want me to participate in your testing.
Cheers and keep up the good work.

TouchXperience does not replace TouchFLO 3D as it does not act like a today screen replacement, but if you use TF3D mostly for access to contacts, messaging, Internet, programs and settings, you may prefer to use TouchMenu and you would not need TF3D anymore. I don't plan to exclude TouchFLO 3D from my ROMs, excepted if most of you would prefer it, and maybe I will adapt TF3D graphics with TouchXperience style.
At the moment TouchXperience requires 2MB space in ROM, but as it replace some HTC applications and internal functions I will remove them, so it shouldn't be much bigger than other ROMs and maybe smaller after removing HTC stuffs.
As I said, I need to get first a new PC and a Touch Pro to be able to work on it. For the PC I hope I should get it soon, but for the Touch Pro you know that it is expensive, so I will have to wait longer until I could afford to buy one. Maybe I could buy one end october or november, excepted if I get enough donations to invert in the phone, in that case I would buy it as soon as I have the money then Touch Pro version could be available shortly.

well i'm a system supervisor and i would realy become a beta tester. I'm not much experienced into cooking roms, but i use my touch pro every day intensive (previously i had the tytnII, Tytn, and the qtek9100) i have a 1mbit internet connection through HSDPA and use the internet as well on the device as linked with my notebook. I'm also testing a lot apps on the touch pro like various TF3d config programs, Gsensor locks and more stuff. If you think i can be a beta tester than i would appreciate that.
kind regards

Very interesting project.
I could maybe make some tests, I'm in IT, ex-programmer (yes I don't like how it sounds too), experienced beta tester (and also write good documentation btw.), use WM much before it was WM.
Since I am Greek, I'd make sure everything works in my language.

hi all,
====================================================================================
a new version is now available for android - go to google play
====================================================================================
after a long time where i had so many tips and software solutions from this community it is about time a put something back to it.
i have been looking for an application to allow me record a voice memo and send it to myself as a reminder with a voice clip attached.
found a commercial program that did not do it as i wanted so had decided to do it myself.
MemoMe is a light application that enables you to record your memo when you just got an idea or remembered something you do not want to forget, like when you drive or just do your shopping... it goes to your mail or your secretary mail etc. easy to use and configure. it supports all WM devices and all screens.
MemoMe uses any one of your existing email account so no data is passed on and your personal info is untouched, this is mainly for security reasons so no
one can use your smtp info or expose your user is & password.
as said it is offered as a freeware to all as a tribute to this wonderful comunity.
as per donations etc - is you feel like donating, please think of someone who really needs it like poor children etc or donate to charity.
a nice thank you is much more than i need.
http://download.arkom.co.il/freeware/MemoMe_Freeware.CAB
have fun...
OK, the first official release is now available for download.
change log from the pre - release:
- UI was completely changed.
- many internal engine changes
- sound effects were added
- the send engine was totaly changed and due to security reasons there is no direct SMTP support at all. the only mechanism supported is sending the Memo using the internal outlook engine. any existing account can be used and the configurator shows all available options. in the older version there was a need to provide your SMTP server, username and password - not very good for security...
this way no sensitive data is stored to be a potential risk.
if i will find a way to use a public service or any other option were no info will be stored i will consider.
setup & update procedure:
just download one of the setup packages either EXE or CAB and install it
if you have installed any older version i recommend you uninstall it and delete the folder to make sure nothing is left behind
run the config utility and just follow the few selections and save.
very easy to use and nothing to write a manual for
now you can use the MemoMe app and enjoy !
for any questions or requests or ... just let me know
may you all have a great weekend
=============== 16/09/2009 ================ Version update ==========================
there is an update available for download at the same links above
ChangeLog:
- AutoPilot: it is now possible to set the app to load in auto pilot mode where it does not show all 4 buttons etc. the app loads directly in recording mode where there is one big stop recording button on screen. tapping the stop recording button will automatically send the memo and exit.
naturaly the standard mode is also available - look at the configurator screen...
- SoundCompress: there is an option to dramatically compress the memo file sise (for internet air time saving) a typical 300 KB file will be ~20KB (!!), of course voice quality will be a slightly lower... but realy not too much
- Splash screen time is neerly nothing now on the AutoPilot mode...
- Configurator is automatically loaded if first run or no INI. no need to exit and run configurator...
- internal engine modifications...
- no change in pricing model - this is still the same - free
in spite of huge interest from mobile operators to use it as an embedded application to increase data the application will stay freeware.
will be glad to have your comments (and wish lists)
===================================== 19/12/2009 ================================
a new version is now available for download - 1.5.0
- a major UI change was done and major internal engine
- the audio quality is well kept but can now bw compressed
- you can now select a differentrecording time by just entering your rec time value in seconds
- any device - any OS version - any screen resolution
this is the last and final freeware version as the application will now go to its commercial phase with many more features.
for most of us this basic version is exactly what we need...
=======================Version update to 1.5.1 =============== January 20 2010 ======================
a new version is available from the link above
- time recording bug - fixed
- compression bug fixed
- added indicators for compression mode and time recording / time left
====================== version update to 1.6.0 ================== Jan 23 2010 =======================
new version, answering to most requests
change log:
1. audio engine completly renewed - now normal audio will go as WAV and compressed as OGG
2. in AutoPilot you can pause and resume as much as you like. don't forget to set the option in config...
3. the app can now hide for faster reload - set in config...
4. you can set the subject - allow in config...
5. minor internal fixes
note: if you use soundFX you will get a beep in audio file every time you pause so you can know where you paused
if it is not wanted stop soundfx in config
enjoy...
enjoy !
Help me with Setup
Hi, I am having problems sending to my mailbox I am not sure of the smtp address, could you help with the setup if its not too much trouble, I am using windows live mail........................Thanks for the neat apps
currently the application supports 2 options of sending your Memo:
1 - using your SMTP information where you will have to enter your SMTP server, User & Password and to mark the Authentication if your server requires (most do).
2 - using your AS pocket outlook. if your device is configured to sync your email using pocket outlook (means your outlook can send / receive email) and the default account name is ActiveSync, that option will send the meno using this account. so when you next manually Send/Recv or it performs an automatic Send/Recv according the time intervals you specified.
the nextversion will ofer a different mechanism - either you use your outlook and by this BTW you dont even have to know or provide your SMTP info or the application will directly send using a special set SMTP account I will provide it internally.
i hope by this weekend i will have sometime so i will update the application, in the download server there is a "fresh" version - with fresh user interface that is the final UI from now i will update the functionality only -
- it will allow taking a photo, add a memo to it and send
- it will allow sending to third party as well
and the "wish list" is getting longer and longer as other guys are also sending feedbacks with ideas...
one thing will remain - as much it will be further developped i will keep it free, that's my obligation to this great community that provided me with so many free applications so far
Thanks for the information I will wait for you updated version, btw great work and thanks
you can now go back to the first post - i've updated the post (and app)
Thanks for the update..I didn't notice any changes in the UI, I got the same UI as the previous ver... there were some changes in the configuration.. didn't see any option to take a photo either maybe I downloaded the wrong file?????
oh, i see.
you probably downloaded the temporary version.
the previous version had a simple blue backgroung and the white one with rounded buttons was just added, but that is not your problem
the version available now is the latest one (last night) and is final (before the next one )
as i said the next version will have the camera option and more, it was important to get to a final look and functionality before going to futuristic features.
trus me that the next version will not take years ( it is under design right now but i have my real day job to attend first, this is only a hobby)
keep on and buzz me if you need anything
Thanks a lot, this ver works for me just finishing testing
good, i'm happy.
enjoy it and please send feedbacks on your experience
comeback to see if there is a newer version
send your friends too...
BTW - what device you use ?
very impressed....
tested ..MemoMe ..on my blackstone with standard rom ,working very ..very smooth for me ..!
for me, it is very handy, for reasons, you also set out and more ( if you just want to be a bit lazy, in typing short email ,this is it ! )
thank you
thanks Willcor, really pleased to hear that.
it did not come out of being lazy it came out of a real need - say you are driving or just walking, you just remembered something or were told something you do not want to forget... i operate it over a voice command so when i drive i just call the app by its name - record and send...
next will come as said a photo attachment so you will be able to take a pic add comment and send.
next will come third party reciever...
and i hope to add a voice recognition to so you can dictate...
have fun

of course - if you record and not send or the sending failed the memo is still stored in memory - usually the file is in the program folder so easy to find.
next time you run the app you can listen to the record and send
if you try to record when there is an unsent memo you will get a worning and then can choose to overwrite or go back...
Using it on my touch diamond2, it works like a charm, thanks!
just two simple questions:
1) does it sync with outlook?
2) can the voice memos be attached as tasks?
thanks a lot for your fine work!
two simple answers:
1) if you meant pocket outlook - the answer is yes - it uses outlook to post your email to yourself. if you meant pc outlook - no need to as your pocket outlook should sync to your desktop. MemoMe then sync to pocket
2)no. the voice memo goes as an attached file via email to your inbox, that's what it says in first place.
Nice software.
But
When Sound Effects are off it still plays some sound when it starts, buttons pressed etc.
If you wait until max recording time in pilot mode it hangs. It draws blue line till screen end. You press hand button. Button become a clock. It again draws blue line till screen and hangs.
oops, i will check it out ASAP
anyways there's a new version in the oven just about to be ready
thanks any how for your comment
That is great - I'll wait for new version
Could you implement pause button? So one could start recording, press pause and then continue recording to the same file?

Play store takes very long time to make new version available !
here is a direct link to download new ver 0.91c
https://www.dropbox.com/s/t41queq69w9nu9h/SWApp Link.apk
Is there anywhere the app indicates the devices have connectivity? And what type they are using currently?
I know you indicated it would be fairly easy to add communications methods to the app, have you considered direct IP? My phone and watch are often on the same wireless network. I just ask because push notifications are usually so slow for - say incoming phone calls.
Looks good!

Same error tried uninstalling the old one and installing the new one and rebooting still same thing.
I gather SWApp link can't work with iPhones?
Is there hope of getting a version of this app through the iPhone store or is Apple too controlling to let functions like this be included in an app they would approve? If not, is there any move afoot to enable true smart to cooperate with iPhones?

Thanks for the idea, i have put i on the to do list.
Push is slow only if you didn't receive any notification for a while. Once you get one, the following notifications are almost instantaneous. i will add an option to "ping" notification at intervals so that it stay faster. We'll see if it impact battery a lot

Would it be better to go the whole start a Community / become a beta tester / restricted beta app delivered by the play store routine? That has worked well for a bunch of apps I am testing that are in beta..
new version 0.92c is uploading. Fixing problem with samsung and some other phones. Should work fine now.

Xposed app firewall.
This app is an firewall for the installed apps. Only apps with permission "android.permission.INTERNET" are
shown. IPv4 and IPv6 are supported together with TCP and UDP. You could configure outgoing and incomming
connections independent from each other.
The rules could be applied for each network: W-Lan, local network, mobile, roaming, unknown.
Logging is configurable for incomming/outgoing and allowed/denied connections.
Colors:
Blue: Template is used.
Yellow: Custom settings.
Green: The app is trusted.
Red: The app is blocked.
Features:
No iptables required, the kernel doesn't need to support it.
The firewall is active when Android starts, no startup data leak.
The rules are always active, no re-apply on connection change is needed.
Limitiation:
Host names in the log file are PTR entries.
Works only for Android (Java), not the native (Linux) part
Donation:
No self-promotion in the app.
You could trust or block an app (Menu/ActionBar)
You could use a template for not configured apps
Additional (experimental) networks: Bluetooth, WiMAX, Ethernet
Tasker support, per App
You support this app and further development!
Permissions:
ACCESS_SUPERUSER: apply iptables rules
This app does not connect itself to any websites or hosts!
Important:
This app needs the Xposed Framework. The framework requires root access for installation. Don't forget to enable the module in Xposed. You can grab it here: Xposed Installer

Play Store: http://tinyurl.com/ome2pvc
Xposed Repository: http://tinyurl.com/ksc6plz

Maybe you head me thinking loud 6 weeks after starting this app: "i will release today, if there are still error, i'll fix them later"
Am I correct in assuming this is not open source?
I got a question about incoming/outgoing connections, maybe somone else want to know:
Incoming connections are used by less than 1% of all apps. This is used if the app is a "server", like BubbleUPnP. So most time incoming conections could be blocked, i think for mobile network 100%.
An outgoing connection is like a phone call: You call someone (outgoing connection), and can talk (send "data") and hear (receive "data")
Wifi Internet and Network:
If you want to control eg your local tv-receiver, xbmc device or avm router (with FreetzMobil), only connections to the local network are required. This prevents app to send data to the internet.
The "local network" are all "private" IPv4 and IPv6, they will not be forwarded by internet routers. Additionally, if you use "public" IPs they are local if it is in the same subnet as a ip of your device. Uncommon for IPv4 usage, but public IPv6 are the common usage (public IPv6 for every device)

I took this mod for a quick test drive, a little feedback:
-Is it not possible to restrict kernel?
-Could it be that apps that use native libraries to connect to the internet cannot be restricted? Firefox and Mega (both use native libraries) were able to connect even when completely restricted.
Also a little cosmetic issue com.android.process.gapps showed completely green at all times. However restrictions were applied properly

Yes, see OP: "Limitiation: ... no native binaries." This is because the design of Xposed
Isn't it "com.google.process.gapps"? Onyl this one app has the wrong colors? Has it a green dot for "trusted app"? What did you configured for it?
Yes I meant com.google....
I set it from template to custom, blocked everything, however in the app overview it still showed as all green. When it was restricted GCM was blocked and the log showed blocked connections to mtalk.google.com:5228. Then I unrestricted outgoing mobile and wifi and GCM was available and the log correctly showed allowed connections but the colors in the app overview didn't change
Version 1.0.1 uploaded

Sorry the bug is still present
Also 1 more questions. Do you see any problem running this along side AFWall?
The bug affects any app that starts end ends with <>. <android.media> and <org.mozilla.firefox.sharedid> also always revert back to displaying completely green once the app is reloaded

No, should work without problems. The one created iptables rules other hooks the connection methods - if one fails, the other does it

The "<>" entries are not real apps (.apks) with a package name, they are uids. At app start i load all installed apps with internet-permission and hide apps which are no more installed / have not any longer the permissions -> the uid items are not in the list of installed apps (obviously)
Will be fixed in next release
EDIT: Uploaded
This is awesome ?
A few questions:
- is there a way to edit template? I couldn't find it anywhere in settings- am I missing something?
- Can you add multiple selection? For example, someone has lots of apps and wants to block roaming to them etc. etc. without having to change it manually for each app.
- filtering or sorting apps? perhaps something simple like the way afwall , or a more thorough filter like XPrivacy has?

The template is used for all "blue" apps, which where are not configured by user. Modifying template is part of the donator options (see OP).
Btw, next planned feature: detection of VPN connections

Nice feature !
I dry tested this app (i.e. not checked in the Xposed module on my device) and already saw that the VPN was missing. Now I use AFWall+ which is good and has more profiles. I block all Google apps with it with a 'limited internet' profile and every time I download something from Play, I load another profile which allows 'Google Play services' and 'Google Play store' internet connection and after download/update I revert to 'Limited internet'.
On my Mac I have 'Little Snitch' firewall which has the ability to let it prompt for certain apps which I don't want to be connected permanently (such as the Mac App Store), but only when I do e.g. an OSX update. In that case I let it prompt and say 'only this time'.
A similar approach on LightingWall should be very welcome. E.g. a notification that the Play store wants to connect with internet and when one wants to download / update an app, say 'only this time' and not permanently.

Xprivacy implements a similar thing, allowing the user to be informed when one of the restrictions are asking for access of that permission, including internet permissions(no distiction between lan or vpn), i would also welcome an on demand prompt feature for this app, its one faeture i wished afwall had, but believe it cant because of the nature of iptables i believe,
Saying that im also kinda worried that this might conflict, two apps essentially fighting for control to "pause" the system, hope im wrong, maybe if the two devs of the two respective apps co-orporated in implementation,it might be resolved, if there is an issue, i dont know........... but im getting ahead of myself here, defim has not even stated that he'll implement this, still, no harm in discussing possibilities, slim or not
@banderos101 @mermaidkillerIf you want to be informed if an app is allowed or denied to access some hosts, you could get it with Tasker. Just with a simple message box or more enhanced things Tasker can do. It should not be a problem using this app wiht Xprivacy, AFwal etc. If you block a connection with one app, it could be that the others can't see/log it. This depends on the order of the apps, An iptables firewall should be the last the connection is passing.
A per host filter is not planned, if you want to stop connection to some (tracking, malwar, adware) hosts a hosts file filter could be used, like my UnbelovedHosts

Too big a risk to take for security software like this. Post your work up on Github under a reasonable license.
I'm not seeing a big advantage over the GPL AFWall+ anyway.
