I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum...
Ok, here goes: Using a Moto DX2, running GB 2.3.3, Rooted but w/stock ROM, Android Market v3.1.5
I have several "free" apps that appear under My Apps at the end of the list under the "Not Installed" heading. These are bloat apps I uninstalled using TIBU. How can I stop them from showing up as not installed? I've cleared the cache and data for the Market numerous times and even reverted back to an older Market which then self updates back to 3.1.5.
Also, when I visit the market from my Windows PC, under My Apps, it shows a handful of apps as being installed that are not on the phone - some never were and some were but we uninstalled - some of them are the bloat and some are apps I tried out and did not like and uninstalled. How do I get this to reflect what is actually installed on the phone?
Thanks.
[UPDATE] I installed the 3.2.0 version of the Market and the issue is the same as the 3.1.5 version.
my idiot market so like to “downloading......” and never start,2.x or 3.0.x also like than ,I am really angry!!!
I might have accidentally stumbled upon the solution myself. I read some where to try clearing the google services framework cache so I tried it and after rebooting, the market app no longer showed those apps as not installed - they were totally gone off the list just like I wanted. Now the Android Market Web issue is still the same, but I think that's an issue w/the site and not my Moto DX2. I also cleared the market cache at the same time before rebooting my phone - prior attemps at just clearing the market cache alone had no effect.

So anyways,
I was using dsixda's kitchen to cook VillainROM 5.4 (add & remove a few things here and there).
Wiped data and dalvik prior to flashing and then flashed the ROM which went fine. Upon first boot, phone stuck and white-green htc logo so I took out the battery and rebooted and then it booted fine. Added my gmail account in the setup wizard, connected & synced.
Now this is where weird begins. Somehow, official Facebook app apeared in my app list, and Market was only showing free apps, and it should show all apps. So I went to check /data/app folder and sitting there is com.android.vending.apk. New Market apk that somehow magicaly appeared out of thin air. Also, my Market download list shows all my previously installed apps and among those, Facebook as already installed and with an update available. WTF!?
Can anyone explain to me what just happened? This didn't happen with untouched VillainROM 5.4.
Market is linked with Google account, so could be that?

Sure, but I've never seen Market app auto update itself. What's up with that? It essentially blocks me from having all apps in market.
Okay, I found out what was the problem.
It seems that there's an update to Market app to version 1.713 which silently installs without user approval.
To anyone having trouble with this new version blocking access to paid apps, go to Manage Applications -> Market and select "Uninstall update". After that, remove MarketUpdater.apk from /system/app folder (pull it before doing it, in case something weird happens)
My problem is with the android market and my apps don't show up when I select my apps on the top right.
My setup:
Just flashed phiremod v6 with the included honeycomb stats bar icons included in that thread, nothing else.
My attempt at solution:
I cleared the market cache, uninstalled then reinstalled updates for the market, cleared the cache for the google services framework, wiped cache partition and Dalvik cache via CWR, and still no success.
Some things I found weird:
When I start up the market, those banners they usually have for apps (advertisement) fail to show, its just green there.
If I choose to download any app (picked solitaire and imdb at random), it downloads and installs and even runs successfully, but they don't even exist on the my app page which continues to read "No downloads from Android Market".
Any solution to this guys? Also if not what is the best way to update my apps instead of manually searching for them via market to update. Thanks for any help.
Download LCD density from the market and see what yours is set at. 161 works fine for me.
I had it on 150, switched it to 161 with no success, thanks though.

Have you tried re-flashing gapps? Even though I know phiremod comes with them pre-installed.
The problem is solved! I just set up market enabler to the tmobile market and everything came back, thanks for all your help anyway.
I recently updated my rooted Eris running nonSensical ROM to the laest version of the Market and now when I search for any applications (games or apps) I get no results found.
If i search for books or movies I do get results. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I have tried clearing cache, clearing data, and even doing an uninstall on updates to the Market app.
The uninstall does take it back to e previous version, but no results found still. Then after restarting the Market, it auto updates to the latest version again.
Am i going to need to reload the ROM to get the market going again?
Try the procedure from this post here. This cleared up the market issues I was having. Also, it may be my imagination, but after doing this, things seem to load a bit faster in the market for me. Just a thought!

this is not for noobs though ... i have no freakin idea what file to put where and what to do? i just downloaded stock FW and kernel, flashed it via odin on my samsung galaxy s2, and after the flashing my market just don't respond. i can't find facebook, gmail, google+, zedge, nothing. it's just as if my account has been banned... i only get some homebrewed apps shown when i search for proper apps. and since my phone is not rooted, i believe i don't have the premission to move any system files ?
Ok. I bought this G Tab knowing that I would have to install ROMs, tweak .prop files, NVFlash, CWM, RootExplorer, etc. No problem there.
But now I have had it with this new Market. Many (if not most) applications are showing as incompatible with my tablet even though I already installed them. My beloved Word With Friends now requires an update, but I can not install it from the Market as the new Market believes the app is incompatible with my ROM. That is the last draw as I cannot play it anymore.
So does anybody have a market.zip that has Market 2.3.6 so I can go back to the old market? I have the .apk files but I think I need something that could install via CWM (BL 1.2) since all the apks do not work if you install them by themselves (they all FC). I would freeze market updater so it does not upgrade again to 3.x.
Thanks

Installed the GAPPS and it did not install the market. Tried uninstalling Market and Market updater first and still no go.
It looks like something is blocking the old market from being installed. I extracted it and installed it myself but it then FC everytime it started.
Very frustrating. This is the kind of crap that is going to kill android. It just looks like Google is purposedly trying to lock out aftermarket ROMs from accessing Market apps.
This happens to me frequently. The solution Ive found is to stop the market and clear data. After this is done, launch the market and youll no longer get the error. Sometimes Ill have to do this 3-4 times a day. Good luck.
Interestingly enough, I think I got a workaround. Through some investigation, I found out that the problem was that many apps were being filtered because of the screen resolution. So I started working with the density property in the build.prop to find out if there was a magic number that will make things work like they used to. It appears that I did find that number and it is 160.
So I updated the build.prop line with Root Explorer:
qemu.sf.lcd_density=160
After that I cleared the Market app data and the Google Services Framework data. Rebooted and everything that was previously installed seems to be recognized and the applications started updating again.
I'm using a Sony Ericsson X10 mini (not rooted) that still suffices quite ok. However, after a while it tends to become slow. What I periodically do to make the device again a bit faster is reinstall the original firmware using Sony PC Companion. This re-installs the latest available firmware for the X10 mini, being 2.1-update1 (kernel version 2.1.1.A.0.6).
The last time I reinstalled the firmware I ran into an issue. After the installation I got to work installing a few apps. I noticed that all the apps that I install keep showing up in the market as "Installing", even though they are already installed and working properly. Switching the device off and on doesn't help. Also clearing the cache of Android Market did not resolve this. All these apps remain showing as "installing" in the market app.
I also noticed that the version of Android Market that I currently have is not the version of Android Market that I had before reinstalling the firmware. As far as I know, Google Play is not available on Android 2.1, but I definitely remember that I had a newer version of Android Market installed on Android 2.1 than the one that is installed now. From previous re-installations I remember that the device at some point would mention that Android Market needs to be updated. The same goes for some of the pre-installed apps such as Facebook and Google Maps. However, this time it does not give such a message at all. Opening Android Market also does not trigger any update at all. Also going into the settings and looking for updates does not trigger any update. Is there any way to force android to update the market and the pre-installed apps?
When I open Android Market and look in the "Downloads" section, it shows a list of all the apps that I had installed on the device previously. When I check play.google.com on my PC, it lists the same apps, but they show as "installed" on my phone. Even though I have not installed them yet. And I cannot find any way to remove these apps from the "My Apps" section on play.google.com. Could this be interfering with the android market app on my phone?
Is there any way to trigger Android to update the Android market and the other pre-installed apps? I'm very hesitant to go and root the device, that still appears to me as a lot of work. Especially since I know that it used to work correctly previously.
A small update in case somebody in the future encounters the same problem:
To find out whether it really is my Google account that interferes, I have opened a completely new Gmail account, and used that when setting up the phone after the firmware re-installation. And lo and behold: within a few minutes after the initial setup of the phone, the market application was suddenly replaced with version 2.3.6. No notification whatsoever, it was just suddenly there. I don't know the version number of the old Market app that I had. Somehow, the version numbering that is used in the application manager is different than the "2.3.6" formatting. The version number that is shown in settings>application manager went from 2002009. to 2002306.
Having the updated Market app, I wanted to relink the phone with my normal Gmail account. However, I found that apparently, you can only sync with a different Gmail account by resetting the entire phone, so that I have the original problem again. But at least the fact that the Market app updated itself allowed me to copy the updated market .apk file so that I could manually update the market after reinstalling the firmware. And having installed the new Market app, it also recognized the pre-installed aps such as Google Maps.
It should have been possible to delete your new gmail account in th settings app and add your old one. Failing that, doing a factory reset would have deleted all the user-data but still have kept the updated market-app.
