There is no setting. You need to revert this and recompile.

You can blame your stupid question. Yeah, start with installing Linux is absolutely correct. In case you have already Linux installed and still do not know how to compile a kernel, then state so next time. If you have another problem, such as with git clone or whatever, state so again. If you have problems with applying a reverse patch, state so.
Do not ask "how does one compile a kernel". Go fscking Google it is the only answer you deserve in that case.

Do not ask stupid questions and you will get better answers. Ktnxbye. Questions like "How do I compile kernel" go to Google, noone will repeat what has been written zillion times especially for you, you really are not special, mom's lied to you. Live with that.

Didn't fserve say enabling vsync would *save* battery instead? Since it practically caps the phone's performance.

apparently you guys have NO IDEA what vsync is and its relation to screen refresh rate and ACTUAL FPS.
I must say Thank you to the developers who are nice and there to help and answer questions (i have talked to both franco and fserve and they are VERY helpful) unlike you guys who just say to google everything... So rather than explain VSYNC and artifacts such as TEARING to you assholes, i say... go ****ing google those terms and come back when you know what the **** your talking about.

Would you recommend using Android Overclock, instead of setcpu? I was comparing it on market (which is probably a bad idea already) & it seems that AO is more likeable. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I do not have an Xperia S, so any issues with this kernel you experience you will have to post a kmsg and logcat.
I work for free! All donations are greatly appreciated.
For now this thread is only a placeholder until I get something started, it will have the basics:
OC, more governors and io schedulers etc.
Also, I may have to abandon this project if I do not have enough time to work on the device I have, and the device I'm going to get.
/keiran
hey,
beside OC, whats the advantages of FreeKernel over the stock kernal?
thanks.

More governors, swap, ksm, zram, io schedulers, tiny rcu just off the top of my head
OC, governors and schedulers are exactly the cons of the stock kernel.

If you don't have the device, PM me if you need any testing. Also does the source have bcmdhd in any form? It would be great to switch to it for AOSP/CM/AOKP whatever, more features etc.
I haven't even downloaded it yet, way too much going on IRL.
I haven't got it either, but I will soon
If it doesn't have bcmdhd I will try and implement it

Hey,
I'm not as such a core developer of FreeXperia and more of a contributor (just joined the group) and I only speak with Jerpelea.
As far as I know I'm the only person without the S, Jerpelea has one, so does bin4ry, defer, DooMLoRD
As far as I am aware all of our released stuff is either on github.com/CyanogenMod or github.com/freexperia
Although individual stuff (such as this kernel) go on our own github as it is not related to freexperia.
If you need any help with AOKP, I have no problem with that, just give me a nudge
If I had my own way I would have an Xperia S but I'm only 16 and the S is too much, twice my budget.
Cheers,
Keiran
