Evo3d and youtube

I have ruled out dns, and I have plenty of bandwidth, however every youtube video on my wifi stops every few seconds.
There is no 4g, so I would be most appreciated if anyone has any pointers.

Is the red staying ahead if the little drag icon? I know on 3g it does it a lot for me but not on 4G or WiFi.

Where the 4g seemed to stream and cache, the 3d streams only and constantly stops. I have 12GB WITH UVERSE, so it's not bandwidth.

I can tell you it might be that the recent release of YouTube is wayyy messed up... I could be just that. Try going to mobile YouTube website and see if it streams normally... At least until they fix the app in an update.

How to control data?

I notice when I bring my phone out of sleep I am nearly constantly seeing my 3g uploading or downloading data. I have tried the droid firewall but still not much success. How cant I fix this?
Did you set a widget to update each time after unlocking the screen?
That could be the reason.

You could if you clicked the hd button on the top right. I used to all the time. I was on cm7 though but it would work.

Mhl adapter

Anyway to make the video quality better when I connect the mhl adapter from phone to tv. For example better resolution.???
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Not really. What is the resolution, codec, and bitrate of the videos you are trying to watch?
For example YouTube videos. When playing mostly like squares not very good quality on a flat 46 lcd tv

The youtube app is not HD, which is why it looks like crap on a big 46 inch monitor
There is an HD YouTube apk you can install. (Installation requires root)

Wifi Direct

How do you use it. I turn it on and attempt to connect from my pc but it always asks for a password?? I don't see anywhere to set this password.

I think it is a function with no app that yet supports it. Its newer than NFC, I think. Kinda waiting to be tapped into. No apps on the market for it.
