Ok so i recently tried to boot The Platypus rom and it had success but now my phone has just been looping from the original sgh screen and then it will flash the Platypus boot and then it will appear for about 3 seconds, after that sometimes in will show CWR and then for a split second the yellow triangle will show up. My phone just keeps doing it over and over. I tried to recover but it says there no recovery
How do i fix this?!
hey, sorry bro..my advice sort of got you here. But from what your describing...if that were to happen to me. I would straight up pull battery, plug in usb cable...hold volume down while re-inserting battery. bam download mode. Back to stock. Repeat from start.

My phone was running at about 60% battery last night, and working fine. It was in my pocket and it vibrated. I was unable to turn it on or reboot it, even after removing the battery. I tried using the battery from my wife's S2 but still no luck. I tried connecting the power supply but it still wouldn't boot so I left it charging overnight.
This morning it alternately flashed a fully green battery and a fully black battery. If I press and hold the power button it starts the boot process - I get past the Samsung splash screen and see the first "Resurrection Remix" splash screen, but then it reverts to displaying the green battery.
Any ideas for how I can revive the phone??

Ok We cant say its bricked!! Because its booting up but not coming to homescreen rite? Are u able to get into recovery or download mode?? If ur able o then wipe the data cache and dalvik cache, reinstall the ROM again.. If Recovery doesnt shw up.. Then Use ODIN to flash original fw!! Even if u still couldn get it.. Order a USB JIG from Ebay and try getting into DOWNLOAD MODE!! Even after this its still working means ITS BRICKED !!
Start download mode and the flash a new stock firmware . And your phone isnt bricked .!
This is why I always make a backup.
If you can get into download mode you can fix it, if you can't it's a service centre job. Pretty simple really.
Try cleaning charging port..

Uh oh...I managed to get into Recovery mode, did a factory reset and kicked off a re-install of the Resurrection Remix ROM from the external SD and it's hung at 50% (for 10 mins now) - at the "Extracting /system..." stage. I daren't interrupt it.
Any ideas???
Yes stop messing
1: If you dint have to save anything, wipe better to full wipe
Flash a stock Rom using Odin, than start again with custom roms.
OR
2: download your custom Rom again and flash, might be corrupt download.

So it's OK to interrupt this ROM flash, even though it's stuck at 50%? Should I just hold the power button or remove the battery??
pull the battery
But I say flash stock Rom first, lengthy procedure I know, but safer
OK I decided to reflash RR 2.3, which had been running fine for a couple of weeks previously. Immediately after flashing (which worked OK) the boot process wouldn't complete - it got as far as the RR splash screen then died (screen blank, and needed a long press on the power button to restart).
This happened several times. Eventually I removed and replaced the battery and it finally booted.
Does this sound like a hardware problem? I've noticed that the phone often runs quite warm, but I don't know if that's normal.
You have to flash stock rom, only way to know if there is something wrong with your phone, run it for couple days.
Now to the heat issue, it is due to
1: modem
2: kernel
3: both
Hi,
The S2 was stuck in a loop when booting up, I went into recovery mode which worked ok. During the setup the phone crashed and after leaving it for around an hour, pulled the battery as it clearly was frozen.
Now the phone want boot up, charge or enter the recovery mode again.
Any suggestions? I've tried my own S2 battery but no luck so i've ruled out a dead battery.
not sure if its dead or not... can u get it to the recovery mode (volume up+home+power) or download (volume down+home+power) .... if u can then its probably a bad OS and u need to flash a new rom... if it doesnt even boot into he two modes then its bricked i.e dead...

Recently, my phone randomly rebooted and was stuck at the Vibrant logo and would not progress. So I used Odin to try to recover back to stock, but it is not working. Odin says that the phone was flashed properly and gives the "Pass" message. But the phone still does not boot. The phone can get into download mode, but not recovery.
Problem:
Phone boots past the "Galaxy S" logo, goes to the "Vibrant logo" and them immediately shuts off.
For some reason, the "Charging Battery" gif keeps looping when the phone is plugged in, as if the phone was continually being un-plugged and re-plugged. But I know this is not a battery connection problem, because the phone remains turned on in download mode.
I have tried Odin and Heimdall to no effect, and I would appreciate any help that I get.
Thanks in advance.

you might try a different cable.
I had the same thing happen with the charging symbol and it turned out to be a bad cable.
it would transfer data ok for the most part, just a bit sporadically slow, but the charging always did that weird looping thing.
I used a new cable and it was fine.
it might not be the same issue but it might be worth a shot.

This did not work. I tried with 4 different cables, and the phone still won't boot.
Thanks for trying.
Does it work before? If so deinstall the drivers, plug in another USB port and install the drivers again.

Yep, I did all that. Nothing worked. But I got it fixed now.
For future reference:
When using CM10, my Vibrant got a corrupted Internal SD. No ROM boots except for Eugene's Froyo.
Hello, my Galaxy S3 is stuck on a boot loop.
It's a rooted S3, forgot what firmware. I think it's the latest one whichever that is. I used Odin.
It will not go into recovery or download mode no matter how many times I have tried. And will not connect to my computer at all, tried connecting to Odin and Kies but still nothing. Tried everything I could think of.
When going into download mode, after pressing continue, it shows a loading screen with the Android in the middle and status on top left. Then goes back to the boot loop after ~3 seconds.
When going into recovery mode, it begins to load recovery then reboots into the boot loop after about ~3 seconds.
About 30 min before the boot loop began, a notification popped up saying my SD Card is damaged and asked if I wanted to format it. I declined and rebooted my phone and it went away. So I assumed everything was okay. Then after charging my phone I unplugged it and it worked fine. Locked it, then tried to unlock it again but nothing happened. Held the power button then I see the boot loop begin.
I have crucial data on my phone that I need and would prefer being able to save everything before formatting.
So, what next? Any ideas?

Hello, i do have the same problem as the topic starter. Is there someone who has any suggestions what to do?
Read the post you actually quoted, it suggests what to do.

Try to remove the battery and connect it again for sometimes, and try to go to download mode, and not to Recovery mode.
If you try several times you will succeed to enter into the download mode, then you can enter into the recovery mode also, and if you wipe Delvik cache the phone starts to work normally. I encountered this problem 3 times that's because of some conflicts in operation of Android. Something like what happened some months ago in WhatsApp.
So here's the rundown:
I bought a tmobile vibrant and tried to root it to install cyanogen mod. I tried to install the update.zip package to root it but it kept failing.
It turns out it was because it had that 3e recovery that won't install non-signed zips.
I tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833423
Phone froze for 5 minutes so I unplugged it and pulled battery. Guess what? Wouldn't boot after that.
I can still get into download mode by holding down volume up+down and putting in the battery while it's connected to the computer.
Before I had the orange error screen with the connect phone to PC symbol.
I Odin'd with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1047087
Now the phone is in a bootloop going from the battery symbol with the buffer to vibrant screen.
I've tried all the different ways and orders of connecting it to Odin and I can't get it to work. It'll say pass every time but it gets stuck in a bootloop.
I'm all out of ideas and I don't understand where it's going wrong. If anyone could please help me I would greatly appreciate it.
