Copilot / Navigon gps problem - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Tried both of them, got problems with both, and they both seem nice
Problem with copilot:
entry problem for destination. When I have to be in city "Deinze" it will enter "Ddedeideindeinzdeinze". Something is wrong with the input, tried disabling dictionary and word suggestions but nothing seems to help, also reinstall didn't help.
Problem with Navigon mobile navigator: Force close when launch without data connection. Turned internet usage off in settings, no traffic jam info, nothing...
Tried to denie permissions for the license check but nothing helps.
Currently running 2.3.3 Wolf V6 stock
Btw; I don't get the picture with Cyanogenmod; i can't find an official release on their forum but I can see FXP is using it in their FXP041, can someone explain the situation to me?

what navigon version are you on?

Latest on both...

Some people said that clearing the Cache from te market(in phone settings/ apps/ market), and then reboot your phone works.

Danne_jo stated himself that using foreign languages might "break" market downloads, try to switch from your setting to English, try a download, then switch back (I guess that does the same as cleaning the market cache, the noob-proof method )
problem with market
i downloaded VEnding.apk on my wildfire CM but the application not opening. It opens then suddenly it close. Please help.. i tried also downloading apps using the barcode reader on appbrain site it shows downloading but it takes time to load. PLease help.

[Q] "Navigation unavailable in your location" after flash to r2ba026

After debranding/flashing to the generic R2BA026 X10a, from the Rogers Canada stock R2BA020, I've lost my Google Navigation, and get the message "Google Maps Navigation is not yet available in your location". Anybody else have this problem? Is there a fix (other than using the Brut mod)? Or do I have to rollback to the official rogers firmware? TIA.
No problem here. My Rogers unit was also debranded and am using the LAM 026 generic firmware on mine and works fine.
Even after I one-click rooted the phone, everything still is working like a charm.
I have the same problem but it's intermittent. I can usually fix it by toggling the various "location" settings.

No issue here but now that I posted this reply I feel like it is imminent.

I had that issue also. I uninstalled Google maps, and reinstalled it. Working again.
Same happens on my milestone. I think it is Google. No need to do anything. Just try few mins later.

Thanks for the advice guys. I ended up reflashing/debranding and re-rooting back and forth to the RBA026 generic again. I got the same error, but then I rebooted and everything seems to be going okay. Good to know I wasn't the only one having issues. I'll keep the other fixes in mind so I don't have to go through the whole reflash/re-root procedure again. Cheers.
i had the same problem
when i chose a location, there will be no option for navigation only directions.
i would try to use the "navigation" app but as you know, it gives the "navigation not available in this area" even though i am in canada and it was working before.
the fix i had for it was to use the custom google maps created by brut which will allow you to always see the navigation option.
then when you are trying to navigate, use the original google maps navigation and it will work. Im not sure why that is but it seems to work 100%. Brut's navigation is a bit buggy so im not using it at the moment.
also, turning gps on and off from the locations menu in settings might help.

Market not working after updating 2.1 nordic

i have installed nordic update on X10i from xda (X10i_2_0_A_0_504_NORDIC) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683793) and everything is working except market
when i search app there is no problem but when trying to download an app it hangs at "starting download...." and nothing else.
i have tryed over WIFI and 3G and nothing works...
anyone else had this problem? and is ther a fix?
Having "unsuccessful download" from market yesterday.
And I am still on 1.6
Same problem
I had the same problem, search the net, read that if you change some IP's in your APN settings, that would solve the problem.
Solution for me: APN settings, delete the IP adress in the Proxy Server, and voila, no problem with the market
I had the problem also right after updating to the Dutch firmware, all downloads were unsuccessfull, but the problem fixed itself during the night. In the morning the market was working fine.
Edit - with me it didn't have anything to do with apn settings, because it didn't work with wifi eighter.

[Q] Google Latitude not auto updating

Ever since I installed the latest version of Google Maps my location does not get updated automatically. It would go for hours without updating my location. My location services are working fine. Both my GPS and wireless network option boxes are ticked.
Is anyone else having this problem? And does anyone have a fix for this?
sometimes happens maybe it's cause where you are located
I have an app called fast fix which kinda helped me a lot.
this is it

[Q] Problems with Sygic (navigation).

I purchased Sygic a few months ago and at first it worked pretty good. However recently I am getting / experiencing more and more problems with this navigation program.
The problem is, whenever I start Sygic it says it's loading and then throws me back to the main screen. :S
I recently installed the Aura ROM, but this didn't fix anything.
Maybe uninstalling and removing all the configuration files would fix my problem. I understand how to uninstall, however I don't know where the configuration files are stored.
Anyone care to help or is experiencing the same problem?
Hi there!
I'm having the same issue, using ΠCrust ROM, which is based in ATT's ROM. I check into the Sygic forums, and it appears to be a bug with this ROM version. I posted for support in the forum, as in the begining, the aplication was having problems with OpenGL also. The lastest version resolvs the OpenGL problems, but this Open and ForceClose issue is still present.
Here's the link were the issue was originally reported:
http://support.sygic.com/sygic/topics/crash_on_motorola_atrix_2_3
For the FC, there's a work around, it seems it conflicts in some way with the GPS. So to start Sygic you will have to:
1. Disable GPS in the phone
2. Open Sygic, it will ask you to activate the GPS showing a dialog, click settings, activate the GPS and select back
3. Sygic will open normally
Hope it helps at least for you to use the application.
Thanks for the tips. I am on CM7 and have been experiencing the same things.
