Hey mates! Is there an application for changing menu background for ace? (solid black by default). It is so be grateful if someone work on this. Preferably not using third party themes. Thanks!
It is on cm7 in a theme. But. . . And its a big but. . . If say you put a white background in your theme, your text wont show. So then you have to change the text to say black. But then text wont show in some popups and status bar. So you alter the popup background and status bar. But then what about apps. . . . Well you get the idea. Yeah, you can. But you need a lot of work.

Sorry its notification bar not task bar...
http://circle.glx.nl/ - personalise your own status bar
or if you're using cm6, just change theme.
or if you're pro enough, pull your framework-res.apk, and edit it like crazy which i duno how to.
Thanks for help..
Hi,
I have little problem with my background color. I use the standard background wallpaper "nexus". The strange thing is that on my homescreens (see pic 1) it is much more lighter as on ther applications screens (see pic 2) the screen is on the lowest light-level.
Why is the color not same??? and is it possible to make the color same?????
Thanks....
Its meant to be like that. Its meant to be a fading effect. If you don't like it try another launcher though that is all you can do. It is normal and not an issue.
so I can not have same color ? ? ? Strange - on my SGS it was 100% same color :-(
If anybody have an idea to get the same color - please tell me....
Samsung changed their touchwiz launcher so it fades the background. Nothing you can do but install a different launcher that doesn't do this.
i made only a black background, thats easy with the app colors.
I made a black background to. Thanks guys

Can anyone do that for me, i will give him the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk if he want's to do that, please help, it's for a big project called CloudOS! But i can't run it, (de)compile works and didn't gives errors, but statusbar won't show
Thank you,
Glenn
i am not an experied developer but maybe you forgot to set the permissions of the files...
Sorry for my bad englisch
I didn't do much theming when I was in CM7. I know you can change notification drop-down colour but I don't know about status bar colour and others. Anyway, try theme by TeamCarbon in play store. They are best themers and they mod as much as available.
Yes it can be done. You will have to edit the layout xmls to do it.

I can probably do it, but you have to explain what kind of blue you want. Also if you want any sort of gradients or fading or something
Edit: also, what do you mean with drop down menu, which part of it ?

I've stock rom on my S3 (rooted), and did an update from ICS to JB yesterday - since that my notification bar background is dark grey (instead of black as it was in ICS). I've a very clean "theme": solid black on all pages - I don't like colorful themes (maybe with moving bubbles ) - and my black start-screens don't look very nice now with an dark grey bar on top. I've searched a lot and didn't find anything - is there an easy way to set the background color of the notification bar to either transparent or to black? - without installing a theme (which I'm sure modifies things I don't want to be modified). Or is there a recommendation for a simple (!) app which can set this color? many thanks Gerald
You didn't search properly. There is a thread in the themes and apps section with a fix.

There is a reason why the status bar is grey and it's the same reason why you shouldn't have a black background on a amoled screen: screen burn.
In short dark colours corrode your beautiful and very expensive screen.
My suggestion: switch to a grey background!
Ps.Once you get used to the grey status bar, a black one looks odd!
