[Q] Download Stock Froyo Source Code on Windows - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been searching and searching, trying and trying for half a day now, can't get the source code!
Downloaded GIT for windows, found a resp with the source since the android part of kernel.org is down.
The problem was that i cant download the android tool REPO because i can only get the windows one for kernel.org (site down).
So does anyone have the Froyo source code? And possibly the newest Stock Gingerbread aswell?
Would be grateful if someone could upload it to a download site or share it through DC (directconnect).
Should be a file with the name Cosmo_Froyo.tar.gz included?

Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

If you need other developers....
If you need other developers to help you decompress those files, try the other forums of this site like the android development kitchens etc coz the "serious" devs are there and dont visit this section of xda very much at all.
They may have the tools or are willing to mod their tools to dissect the files your talking about.

build android from source

Hello,
I intend to build my own Rom from source.
I understand the general principle, but I have no idea about where to find all the needed folders/files I can change/remove/replace in the source directory.
Please send any useful link to guide me in this new experience.
TY.

[Q] Get Honeycomb Stagefright source through ICS history?

Hey guys,
i'm wondering if its possible to take a look at the honeycomb source through the history in ICS. Specifically i'm interested in the stagefright implementation.
Love the forum, Thanks.
RE: Honeycomb Source
Hi,
I've also been trying to find this source code. The best resource I've found so far is GitHub. There is a 3.2.4_r1 tag of platform_frameworks_base, which contains the Honeycomb Stagefright source code.
Unfortunately I am a new user to XDA, so I can't post a link yet. You can stitch this together though: https :// github.com/android/ platform_frameworks_base/tags
I hope it helps you, and if you find anything new, please post it!
~Andrew
Thanks Andrew, that's a big help. I'll let you know if I find anything else
