Type opera:config in the address bar and then search for the word "Scripting"
It should be under extensions.
That will disable javascript when you uncheck it and save.

We all are aware that Opera Mobile is best and fastest browser because of its Opera Turbo feature. But what it lacks is option to select USER AGENTS. Well i come across this link
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1009719
Here is tutorial
1. Open skyfire or dolphin or any browser which allows us to choose User Agent. Select user agent as Desktop
2. Now browse this link www.whatsmyuseragent.com
On top you will get something like this
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_5; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Safari/525.20.1
Copy it.
3. Now open Opera Mobile and type opera:config in address bar
4. Go to USER PREFS option (Not user agent) and tap on it. You will see an option called as CUSTOM USER AGENT.
5. Now paste the user agent link we copied earlier here and click on Save.
6. Restart Opera and type google.com. Desktop site will be browsed from now on
HAPPY FAST BROWSING

Lifehacker have a good guide for beginners here
Hi brothers,
i have an issue with Opera mini browser since i bought this phone (5830i), when i try to open ANY page it keeps looping at the address bar than it shows error in network message. I tried both with stock and custom rom, 3G and wifi and still nothing.
I've been looking for a solution before i ask for your help guys.
Review your network settings in opera
Go to advanced and change http to socket/http
That might help cos I was getting the same error when I used http as the protocol
And it would be really appreciated if you post your questions in the help thread in the stickies cos our general section is really flooded
So it is a kind request to post in the help thread to get more answers cos many people won't answer here cos ur flooding the general and could be harsh on you

Thanx for the quick reply. I already did change the network settings but nothing happens. The "weird" fact is that when i run test network, it tell me that i have a working network connection !!
And for the post, i think that this problem, if it is a common one, should be solved -i wish- and the solution should be clear and distinguish from other topics.
Which browser are you using opera mini web browser or opera mini mobile browser

You might have changed SIM .....
Sometimes opera tries to access web via 1st SIM's access point using which you installed & 1st time you used the app ....
It happened when I had a symbian ....
Well uninstall opera » delete all the folders and cache opera created ( from system + SD card ) » restart your phone and install .... See if that works ....... :cyclops:
Alright, so I'm having this problem since a few months on both of my devices (Nexus 7 and Galaxy S3). For some reason, chrome keeps on remembering entrys of my history. It doesnt matter how many times I clear the browsing data, even clearing the app data doesnt work.
Web history and predictive search are both turned off.
Is there anyone that had a similiar problem and/or knows a solution? I attached a screenshot as example.

Root your devices then download system app remover and then remove chrome and download dolphin browser

Force stop your Chrome in setting, and you can find a clear data button in that page.

Tanks, but I was hoping I could keep on using chrome as I really like it apart from this problem.

I've done that (as stated in the op) but even this has no effect. It might work for a couple of hours, but after that, entrys that were there before clearing the data, return.

Actually chrome has some pinch in and out problem and downloading problem that's why I was suggesting you to try dolphin browser

Come on guys, he asked a problem about Chrome, if he wanted to just switch to another browser he would.
Clearly something is wrong.
Are you signed in with your Google account or you're using local ?

Thank you. I'm using my local account, so no web history is in play. The problem seems to be rare, I have been googling for a few weeks now but I have yet to come accross a similiar problem (on android that is).

A question out of ordinary using the same methods as a regular PC... have you tried uninstalling Chrome and installing again from the Play Store?
i would recommend re-installing from the play store as well.
I have tried that, no luck though. I'll try and report it as a bug to Google, might get a response from them aswell.

Hey guys,
I have owned a bunch of Android since the original my touch and something has bugging me like crazy- how do you actually save a default application to open a file type? For instance, when I do a Google search on something and click a youtube video, it asks me every time which app to open it with even though I always select the YouTube to set as default lol. Any help would be awesome!

When you click the YouTube video a menu should come up saying complete action using: and then select the YouTube applicaiton and make sure you hit press Always rather then the Just Once button. If this is what you are doing already, I would recommend going into system settings clearing the default's for that app under the application manger section than the app you want, and doing the action again so it re-asks what you want to use as default. Let me know if you still have questions I'll be happy to help you out.
Thanks and sorry for the late reply. I cleared the app data and this worked...to a degree. For example, if I am to open a link for an ecigarette forums through google search results and choose tapatalk as default it will remember to open the ecig forums that way, but if I were to open the next forums like xbox gaming, it will ask me again which program to open as default. Is this intended or am I still doing something wrong?
Thanks again!

I believe this is intended behavior as the thought is the user may want different behavior for different websites, annoying as it may be for you.
