[Q] gmail not installing - TouchPad General

Everything on my touchpad seems to be working. Only thing is when trying to install gmail from market the download hangs. Rebooted, cleared market cache... any ideas? Other programs download fine.

That's strange.. I haven't had any issues with the market. You could always just side load it. Just pull Gmail from your phone and load it on the touchpad.

Have you tried clearing you market cached data? Then try to grab it from the market again?

[Q] How to reset market?

So I put all my apps to auto update, a feature of the new Market. Bummer is my wifi cut off apparently in the middle of an installation or something because one app is stuck on "Installing" and never installs. It's always stuck in this state and because of that I can't uninstall/reinstall it. I manually uninstalled it thinking it may fix market but it didn't and now I can't find it anywhere except on the market.
I know if I reflash my whole ROM, the market will be fixed but I'd rather NOT have to do that cause it simply is too much work. Is there any simpler way to reset the market?
You can go to menu settings, applications, manage appications, menu show all and reset the cache/data of the market app.
Thx. I actually figured it out by uninstalling the updates to it and then reinstalling it. Worked perfect

Market error; Apps won't install

So, noticed today I can't install anything from the market. Popup says 'purchase canceled - error processing request ' can't even download from the market website. Nothing happens. Phone's market is working fine. Tried deleting market cache and data. Restarting, even un/reinstalling via TB. Nothing.
Am I missing an update or something?
Can you sideload Apps?

Yes I could. Got it resolved. Had to delete my google account and add it back. No problem now. Weird
I would only get that error on apps, i guess not meant for the tab. For example, HBO GO. I would have to find the QR code just to find it the app. I side loaded it and the app says something along the lines of this app is not compatible.

Trouble installing some apps

I have a Droid Incredible and had MIUI installed on it and installed some apps like normal. Well, I started getting tons of FC errors so I wiped clean and started over with MIUI + Tiamat. Well, some of the apps like Facebook and Textfree don't show up in my market. In the desktop market they show up as installed and I can't download them on either market. How do I fix this?
under settings, uninstall updates for market and clear everything (for market only) and see if that works
I tried that twice now. They just don't show up in the market.

Did you try removing the apk and then reinstalling it? When you mean uninstalled, were you simply uninstalling the updates or the actual application...?

Market thinks free apps are paid.

I have been having an issue where the market thinks that free downloads are paid apps. When I try to download them it says error processing payment. I've tried clearing caches for the market and clearing cache and dalvik in recovery but it keeps happening. If someone else has had this problem could you please tell .e how you fixed it?

Try deleting data for the market (play?) app (through settings manage applications). If it is running, force stop it first.
You'll have to re-accept the play store terms and put your settings in again, but this has fixed it for me when funky things have happened with market in the past.
I did that but it seems to have worked itself out. It got to a point where it was showing server error and when that stopped it worked again. I guess Google was having issues.
