I have been having an issue where the market thinks that free downloads are paid apps. When I try to download them it says error processing payment. I've tried clearing caches for the market and clearing cache and dalvik in recovery but it keeps happening. If someone else has had this problem could you please tell .e how you fixed it?

Try deleting data for the market (play?) app (through settings manage applications). If it is running, force stop it first.
You'll have to re-accept the play store terms and put your settings in again, but this has fixed it for me when funky things have happened with market in the past.
I did that but it seems to have worked itself out. It got to a point where it was showing server error and when that stopped it worked again. I guess Google was having issues.

So, noticed today I can't install anything from the market. Popup says 'purchase canceled - error processing request ' can't even download from the market website. Nothing happens. Phone's market is working fine. Tried deleting market cache and data. Restarting, even un/reinstalling via TB. Nothing.
Am I missing an update or something?
Can you sideload Apps?

Yes I could. Got it resolved. Had to delete my google account and add it back. No problem now. Weird
I would only get that error on apps, i guess not meant for the tab. For example, HBO GO. I would have to find the QR code just to find it the app. I side loaded it and the app says something along the lines of this app is not compatible.
I have a 32gb wifi flyer from bb, and I just started having problems where I cannot download or update apps from the market? Also, I went into the superuser app and it now fc's on me. However, I still show s-off in recovery and root explorer is granted root access. Anyone have any ideas to help? I tried clearing data on market & download manager. Still not working.
Try logging into the Market from a computer, as you can install apps that way too. I had to do that with SU and then it worked fine.

Super user app had a bug and has been updated today. install the update.
Also if you still have market problems, do this in sequence.
settings applications manage
Goggle framework - clear data
Market - clear data
Reboot
wait a few minutes
open market
wait a few minutes
my apps
uninstall some app, any app
reinstall the app
close market wait a few minutes
open market
everything should be back now
Thank you, this worked!

Thanks!! I was looking all over for solutions and your was the only one that worked.
Everything on my touchpad seems to be working. Only thing is when trying to install gmail from market the download hangs. Rebooted, cleared market cache... any ideas? Other programs download fine.
That's strange.. I haven't had any issues with the market. You could always just side load it. Just pull Gmail from your phone and load it on the touchpad.

Have you tried clearing you market cached data? Then try to grab it from the market again?
My Gmail kept crashing, and I read that I should clear cache and data for Google Services Framework. Since I've done this, I can't download anything from the market. At first I was getting error number 921. I messed around with clearing the cache and data for a bunch of Google apps, including the Play Store, and now I'm getting error number - 101. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. It started today for me. Error 495. I've cleared caches, data, uninstalled and reinstalled play store, but still can't download anything. Is google having a problem? I haven't changed anything.
Thanks for any wisdom re: this issue.
Just a thought

I got stuck with a similar issue a month ago. What threw me was the errors always reported trouble accessing Google Servers. Guess what it was? My google wallet had been disabled because "The administrator of my domain" had changed the password. I AM the admin for my Google Apps domain. Stupid error reporting had me going crazy for a few weeks.
I caught on that it was my account when I tried another google account in play store and it worked.
This may not be either yours or the OPs problem, but if it's only PAID apps that won't download, you should look into your Google wallet. When you hit the page for account info, it will tell you if it is disabled. Worth checking out. If not, look for an apk for "Market Enabler" that can help otherwise. Good luck.
Hey guys. I have a couple of Play Store apks from older threads that purportedly fixed the "An error occurred, please try again" message when attempting to purchase apps. I'm getting problems again when using either version. Free apps download fine, paid apps throw the above error.
Could someone please kindly:
- Point me to a known working apk?
- Verify for me what permissions it should have, and if it still needs to be named "Vending.apk" once it's place in '/system/app'?
Thanks very much for any help you can offer.
I am also suddenly unable to purchase anything in the Play Store from my phone. I get "an error has occurred". Can still purchase through the website.
Have tried wiping caches/data. Tried multiple versions of store (phonesky.apk and GoogleServicesFramework), as well as restoring from an older Titanium backup. No success. Even tried market enabler to no avail.
I am in the US, so should be no problem there.
Any thoughts?

Reflashed gapps and it all works again. Looks like something has changed causing the modded Play Store and Frameworks apks to not work properly.
