Hey guys coming from android flashing galore. Being that we now have cm7 you think someone can port over miui. In the past phones getting miui(samung fascinate) was dependent on getting cm7. Now that we have cm7 whats the likelihood of miui. Just throwing it out there. Thanks in advance.
Not likely unless MIUI releases the source. Hardware on the touchpad is too different than anything else that runs MIUI to port it without the source.

I know it is still VERY early in the photon development scene. But I was wondering if there were any devs that were working on or planning to work on a MIUI port.
LOVED that rom on my Evo. Thanks!
Once CM7 hits Photon, MIUI's port can begin. MIUI is based off CM7.
Ahh ok, thanks.
Does anyone have any idea if there will be CM9 support for the HTC Rezound? Do we have any Devs that want to be on the CM Team? I came from the Eris Community and as far as getting CM support, no one wanted to do it for forever. I'm not complaining, or anything, I'm just curious to know if anyone has already made steps to become an Official Device.
I'm working on a CM7 port, but its my very first attempt and I would say that so far its much more difficult than I thought, and I have been inundated at work so I haven't gotten to do a lot on it in the past couple weeks.
honestly, now that I've played around with ICS a bit on my Rezound, I think I'm going to dump the CM7 idea and start working on AOSP ICS / CM9. Stock ICS is just WAY nicer than I expected... and its obvious that Google took a lot of queues from CM7 when they built ICS. You can use Scott's Senseless ICS ROM right now and get a lot of the feel that CM7 has..
Having CM7 on my OG Droid I am really hoping that CM9 will be available for the Rezound.

Do we have any chance of getting the 3.0 kernel for the galaxy players? And if so, how soon? thanks
-Charlielx
On the development forums someone is working on porting the 3.0 kernel. They will release it if and when it's ready so there is no ETA.
Sent from my Android X2
I have no idea when or if it'll be released. I have to say though as much as I love the CM9 based roms, I've dropped them for the time being. They just aren't useable in the long run without the hardware acceleration.
I'd love to see the 3.0 kernel ported but I've stopped holding my breath for now.
JackpotClavin said that he is working on it but it's hard for him because there isn't a log to show him what went wrong while he's porting it.
Hello all,
I've been trying for the longest to port AOKP to Galaxy tab 7 plus, and so far I have gotten nowhere. The devs in our forums aren't interested in porting AOKP to our device. But there is a fully functional cm9 build working. I'm mainly trying to port AOKP for its customization options "RomControl" so is there a way to at least bring the romcontrol menu to a working cm9 rom?

Doubtful, as the RC package relies upon a whole mess of framework and other changes to make it tick. I think you'd be better of picking off the pieces of CM9 that work and bringing those into the AOKP tree rather than going the other way. Figure out what the CM9 build has that your AOKP build doesn't (I imagine largely the device-specific tree) and see if you can bring those items into your build.
Its a driver issue. something is ring with the audio driver. I've tried compiling tens of roms and nothing gets passed the boot screen. I've made lots of logcats and they all came back with the same fatal error with the audio driver I'm guessing?
The problem is I'm not a dev at all.. I'm just following guides I see here on xda or any other forums. But I can't get any kinda real help I've been at this for more than a month and nothing so far. and like I said the devs in our section aren't interested in porting aokp they think cm is better. And there are only two devs we are seriously lacking devs too. That's another problem...
I recently learned how to add custom roms to my lgog. So far i havent run into problems. I still feel like i am "winging" a lot of the time but still never bricked my phone. Its hard for me to get the hang of all the terms and acronyms. I have tried a few different roms (slickrom, snowjb, cm10.1, vanilla rootbox, ChaOS) and im trying to find something stable that suits my needs. With that said...
I just wondering if there is going to be a miui v5 port soon or ever? i am currently using ChaOS but it dosent seem to run as smooth as i expected, coming from cm10.1. i am also running into theming problems (ex. .mtz, .ctz files). i get overwhelmed easily when it comes to scripts and coding etc.
As you can tell i am i n00b, maybe someone can point me in the right direction for user friendly roms that favor theming like chameleon.
many thanks.
sorry if i posted in the wrong section
