[Q] UK Banking Applications for Android - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I live in the UK and am considering changing my current bank account. I'm interested in hearing from anyone that’s had any experience in using a mobile banking application.
I figured, in looking for a new account – it would be a bonus if the bank provided a good Android app for mobile banking management. I would of thought it would be useful for checking things while out and about.
Are any of you aware of any UK banks that provide this? And if they do, are they any good?
I believe for example, RBS have one for the iPhone. I’ve no idea how useful/worth the time it is though.
Thanks.

[Q] VPN server?

Hi,
Tomorrow my girlfriend leaves for China for a week, and she'll be missing the usual things, facebook, youtube and such. Is there a way I can set up a VPN server on my PC so she can get connected to my machine (in Hong Kong) and get proper uncensored traffic from China? Which app should she use to connect? She has a Galaxy Note.
I tried this before (with windows 7 default server), with not much success. I can try either Windows or Kubuntu for the server, whichever is easier to work with.
Could you guys give me a hand on this?
Thanks a lot!
Simply download UltraSurf aka UltraReach aka 无界 over at www .ultrareach. com/ for desktop use, this app is the best free one click way to breach the censorship. I use this app on daily basis here in China. On handset wise if your girl friend uses android devices, just browse the market and download "Verizon Opera", a browser based on Opera Mini 5 that Opera made for Verizon customers since it sends data directly to Verizon wireless servers which bypasses the government firewall. Its features are a little bit outdated, no in browser download support or flash or offline browsing, yet still itis the most simple solution on the go to visit blocked sites such as twitter, fb, cnn, bbc, deutschland world (dw.de), IRF, etc.

Ok, I'll definitely try that version of Opera, thank you for the information!
Regarding Ultrasurf, what's the difference with the (allegedly) newer UltraVPN? Both of these are desktop clients, but I believe she'll be taking only the phone this time. I thank you for the tip, as those seem to be free (first time I find a free VPN server, I'm a bit suspicious as why is that one free), but I'd like to find an equivalent for Android, if possible
Sibling products? To be very honest I'm not quite sure about the ultraVPN. The reason that ultrasurf is free of charge is word on the street says this app is sponsored by anti censorship groups and funds based in the US, with a sole purpose - to help netizen in mainland China breach the system. In other words it's not developed by any ordinary commercial firm.
Yes there are other solutions aside of ultrasurf, like Tor for Firefox, Google's own goagent (which has certain traffic limit for free users 1GB per day.), but non of which offers similar easy to use features as ultrasurf does.
The reason why most mainstream US vnp services are down in China is that those vnp providers have been blocked by Chinese government's GFW way beforehand.

Good to know. Thank you very much indeed!
For the phone thouhg, there's no other free alternative, right?
Thank you!
The goagent I mentioned before is a universal proxy solution on both desktop and handheld platforms. Follow a step by step tutorial which can be found by Googling, set up a free account for goagent on desktop. Then download GAEProxy from market to your android device, choose goagent type of proxy, configure it with the account you set before and you are hooked up. In this way all apps like native twitter, Facebook, linked in, browsers, YouTube client are with the mighty force of Google's proxy. But for instant and light web use, I still recommended Verizon Opera.

[Q] Private play store download

Hi All,
I'm looking at getting more into android development and have a question.
If I develop an app for a client and wish to use a subscription (monthly / yearly) and would like to be able to use the convenience of the Play Store to do so, is there a way to restrict or distribute an application to one client, without the general public seeing it?
Would it be better to have some kind of built in in-app license system to deal with this kind of thing? (obviously there are many things involved in this type of system to avoid problems with the end user).
I have heard you can do private Beta's, but I have no idea if this can be paid and go on indefinitely...?
I have never released an app on on the play store and don't even have an account yet, but wanted to try and understand how best to go about this kind of thing.
Many thanks in advance

[Q] What feature would be good in a fitness app?

I've been asked to create an app at work. It's for a membership we sell that gives people access to numerous gyms in the City. The app will do the usual things a website would e.g. be able to list upcoming classes, and details about the different gyms, but it seems to me like this is app would be rather unuseful as all the info I've been asked to put in the app is on our website, and mobile site.
So I'm curious as to what people think would be good to build into the app. I don't personally go to the gym so I'm not sure what features would be of use to people. All I can think of at the moment is a stopwatch/timer for when people are doing activities.
Does anybody else have any ideas that would be good?

[Q] is there any good android wallet app?

I had been searching around for a good android app that could be used to assist in managing account. But so far I had found only this app called Wallet.
which is the best so far in my opinion. However, the subscription fees for that application is a headache.
I had tried Windows phone before and found a wonderful wallet app called money wallet.
If anyone tried the app before, there are features on the app such as(where the wallet app for android does not have) :
-unlimited account(paid version. cost less than $3 to use forever.)
-different account type setting and many modification can be made.
-create debt(will auto create a payment and separate them to the payback duration. interest rate and total amount set by you of course)
-and many other features
just wondering if there is any android wallet app out there that can match with the functionality or price of the money wallet app in windows phone. The only thing i don't like on the windows phone version is the UI(not colorful enough. XD). However, in term of functionality and pricing, it wins the android wallet app that i mentioned above many many times.
PS: newbie here. so cant post any link. You guys may search for the apps and download to try. Both of them has free edition to try out before buying.

Stock Unlimited Clone App?

Hello! I've been looking for a reliable unlimited app cloner app WITHOUT a bunch of ads and other annoying stuff, but I haven't been able to find one yet. I use a large amount of clones in my work but all that's available are a bunch of third-part ads FILLED with bugs and advertising, all with super low ratings.
I'm surprised there aren't any really good, open-source Android cloner apps out there. Well at least I haven't been able to find any.
So now I ask you, can you please give me a good open-source app cloning program for Android? Everything on the Google Play store is completely useless.
Thanks!
I nedd that also no one can help us
