[Q] CDMA Sprint MMS settings - HTC EVO 3D

I had the superuser crash last week. It caused lockups and I restored from a nandroid. Everything works but picmail. I tried a dirty flash, reflash of radio, wiping dalvik and cache, updating profile and PRL and still can't send pix. ##3282# opens the menu and the mms server shows blank. I enter the mms server settings and it won't commit the changes. I'm not a noob and this one has me stumped. Any suggestions?

[Q] Read report for picture messages not working

Not getting read reports for mms even tho I have it checked in settings. Any suggestions?
Also, everything is stock and no root. Android 2.2
Try going into settings, network, check data, go to network selector, choose automatic, go back to access point network, go into your apn, at the bottom, make sure on apn type mms is checked or selected.
looks like everything is set. not sure why its not working
Any other suggestions?
Go to settings, about and tell me which kernel and modem you have? Also which rom are you using?
Everything is stock. ......
Kernel is 2.6.32.9 everything is stock android 2.2
Why is it not telling me when a mms message has been read?

I have problem with send/recive MMS

I tried to Wanamlite v6.7 and v7.8 and come back on Stoct backup and alweys got message "process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly" when send or recive MMS. I tried on stock Message.apk and GoSMS, result is the same. I do not know what more to do, I'm really desperate. I've already tried Clear message app data and nothing. Please, please help.
I have the same problem after coming back from an ICS ROM. I've cleared dalvik cache but no fix. Might try to reflash.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Reflash with Wanamlite or something different.
A search would tell you to go to the message centre and enter correct details for your network .

I solve this problem.
In APN settings for Internet access in my case for APN TYPE -> internet + mms.
When I changed to internet only, everythig is working fine.
Thank you all.

Auto-download MMS on CM9

I'm running the latest CM9 beta along with the APN Fix.
I'm able to send mms messages fine, but whenever I receive one (like an image text), it prompts me to download the image instead of doing it automatically. Furthermore, when I try to download the image in the stock messaging app, it doesn't work. I then installed GO SMS, which does allow me to download the image (most of the time), but I'm still prompted to download it instead of it downloading automatically. This happens on both wifi and 3G.
What I've tried (with reboots after changing settings):
I've double and triple checked the APN settings and have even restored my APNs to default and then re-entered them.
I've also tried playing with different APN settings than whats in the fix.
I've toggled the auto-retrieve setting in the stock messaging app on and off.
I tried installing the black-themed mms app.
I've cleared app data on the stock messaging app and GO SMS
I've attempted to fix permissions, wipe dalvik, and wipe cache
I checked the mms size limits inside GO SMS settings
All of the above was unsuccessful. Each mms I receive still prompts me to download the image. When I click download it doesn't always work in GO SMS and doesn't work at all in the stock messaging app.
At this point, I think I'm going to wait until Joker releases a new build and see if that magically fixes it. If not, I'll probably have to wipe and do a clean install. I did a wipe between the last alpha and first beta build but have just been wiping dalvik/cache between beta builds.
Anyone have any other ideas / suggestions?
Thanks!
Try just using the first APN and deleting the other 2. That's all I've done and I can send and receive mms just fine using the stock app.

Thanks for the response... Just tried deleting the 'Production' and 'Internet' APNs and only leaving the CDMA one (the first one) and then rebooting. I'm still able to send mms but again when I receive one, it prompts me to download instead of just displaying the image automatically in the messaging app.
I feel like it has to be either a problem connecting / downloading from the mms service or there's just some setting somewhere that's causing it to prompt me to download before retrieving.
I also tried setting the APN Type to 'MMS' instead of 'mms', which allows me to click a little blue dot next to the APN... tho I'm not sure what that does (makes it the default?). However, when I did that, I lost the ability to send MMS, so I set it back to 'mms'.
I wasn't able to fix this issue without doing a clean install (wipe / etc). I ended up flashing the latest CM9 build (3.1) on top of the 0.2 build and the issue persisted. I then did a clean install of 3.1 and the issue is resolved. Images received via mms now automatically appear in my messaging app without prompting me to download manually.

[Q] Flashing to Pageplus

I'm following the guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1575749 for flashing the evo 3d to page plus from sprint. currently i have the phone rooted with s-off running meanrom. under the instructions it says you need to enter the MSID on the phone and if you don't have it to call your service provider. I called page plus and they say that they can't give me a MSID without the phone being activated on their service. I'm not sure what to do next. Do I give them the new ESN and have the change the service and then will they be able to give me the MSID or is there another method to do this?
Thanks for any help.
Edit: i'm currently on page plus with a old lg 9100 and the phone i'm trying to flash is a sprint phone that has never been activated.
second question: the apn backup and restore app says that APNS cannot be restored or deleted on this device because android 4.0+ does not allow 3rd party apps to write apn settings. what should I do to get this to work. i have the phone rooted with s-off currently running meanrom. should i put a different rom on there?

Have you flashed the page plus prl yet? If so you need to call them and give them your esn number. I believe the msid is for if you want to port your number over first before you call page plus. If you followed the guide to a T up until the apn part. Even though apps won't allow you to write to the apn, its ok because all your gonna do is delete and restore. Put your phone in airplane plane mode. Delete your current apn, click restore apn chose the page plus one. Disable airplane mode and reboot. I hope this helps you.

thanks, for the input. i'm going to try this a little later today.
so just an update for anyone who might stumble onto this thread. I figured out the steps: (Thanks Jsparta26)
After I flashed the prl, I called page plus and they activated the ESN. The MSID was the same as my phone number. Phone still didn't work, so i reflashed the PRL and then the phone was working. I didn't need to delete the APN, it was just working after. Now phone works for calls and 1x data. no MMS yet, got to figure that one out.
thanks for the help.
Your mms is also included in the apn file. Try the delete and restore method to see if works for you

I'm getting the message: Unfortunately APSs cannot be restored or deleted on this device because Android 4.0+ does not allow 3rd party apps to Write APN settings.
The Options in the Program are: Backup APNs, Restore APNs, Delete Backup Files, Delete APNs, and Donate.
Not sure what to do from here.
Ignore the part of backup, delete and restore. I was able to do this with an aosp rom and should work with a sense rom. You just cannot write to the apn file. Make a backup of your original apn, delete the current one, then restore using the page plus apn file and reboot. It should work. If not then manually copy it the apn file with a file explorer into your sdcard and take the page plus file and paste in the original location of the file and reboot. Let me know if that works.COLOR="Silver"]

[/COLOR]Which app are you using? Well if it don't work then I have another solution. Do you happen to know the settings of page plus's apn settings? Also do you know your msl code? If so, then open up your dialer and type ##3282# and punch in your msl code under edit. Once your through click on advanced and scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on mmsc settings. If you know the settings you can manually input the settings in their correct spots. Once you do that hit commint changes or modifications at the top of the screen and hit reboot

I think I figured it out. In the settings for the program there is an option for "ignore ICS". i selected that and was able to delete and restore. looks like mms is now working, but it still shows 1x data.

yeah, 1x not so good.
Well I am glad that you got mms working. Not sure about the 1x signal, it could be a cell tower issue, not enough cell towers or that page plus's network is low priority. Have you flashed the latest page plus prl?

plenty of cell towers here, so that shouldn't be a problem. i'll try and flash the other prls and see what i get (right now i'm running the one from the main thread included in the rar). in the main thread i think there were problems with people not getting 3g. if i can't solve it with the prls, i'll have to comb through that thread for a solution.
Thanks for your help.

No problem. Just keep this in mind. Check to see if your radios are up to date on page plus's firmware. People used to have that problem when they went flash happy with the vm ruu ics leak back in may and messed up their phones with the dreaded 1x signal. Just something to think about. Good luck.

[Q] glaxy s ii data network not working.

I had custom android 4.2.2 and i reverted to the original 4.1.2 rom. Now mobile data isn't working. The phone was originaly on orange ro now it is on cosmote ro. It worked Before on cosmote with t e original rom and the custom one. I sent an sms and recived setings but it still doesn't work. It says it's activr bot i see no icon in the notification tab.
Any ideea?
Have you tried checking the APN settings?
I have an issue where i flash my phone with SlimROM and then Chrome and Whatsapp is not working on data. Then I realize that the ROM auto select the wrong APN settings. I entered the right APN settings and I have no issue with getting data.
Also check if all the apps are receiving data via wifi first.

Wifi works. I'm wrighting from my phone now. The settings where wrong but changing them is the first thing i tried but i didn't work.
I never had thisproblem before even when i flashed custom roms. It feels like it doesn't activate the net even if it says it does.
Got it. I had the settings for gprs and i needed the ones for broadband.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your comment. It turns out the ROM was selecting the wrong APN by default. I switch the APN and updated the settings. Now it works like a charm
