hello guys, someone can give me the original stock animation? i wanna overwrite my custom bootanimation with the stock, so i need a .zip that i should put into the /data/local folder ... TIA
Search for the kitchen app. Download and install. Use it to download the stock boot animation. Flash and be happy.
Why would you want the stock one though. It's rather ugly and feels skugish.

The stock animations on Samsung based ROMS are the boot*.qmg files. Just delete the custom bootanimation.zip and the stock one will play. The stock audio files are PowerOn.wav and PowerOff.wav (they go in different folders).
if you guy noticed it's a lil different from 2.2 to 2.3
in 2.2 it's can edit EQ & Effect with soundalive option but in 2.3 it's only edit EQ.
2.2 support big bass when on speaker but 2.3 not
so have you guy can port 2.2 music app to 2.3
if yes, please explain how to do that?
thanks in advance.
Have you tried other player app? I use Power Amp on my phone and the Galaxy player. It has many tone control capabilities.

Use magiciso to open the factoryfs.rfs of the froyo rom. The music player should probably be in /system/app and you can extract it with magiciao as well.

Thanks klin1344
I did download the room from this source

Hi Guy, I have found 2 file apk from Froyo of G1 China version
But it still cannot install to the Gingerbread system
Update: I rooted my phone, removed the music APK and SOUND PLAYER.APK
I use root explorer Pro to paste the two files .apk from China ROOM (FROYO) to my gingerbread sys/app. It can be pasted and changed the permission too
But after reboot, the music cannot be showed!!!! Now my G1 lost MUsic function
Try sideloading them; Go to /system/app/ find your two apks you put in there, click on them and hit install. this works for me with certain apps I put in the /system/app folder. If it still doesn'the work, you can just copy back the old apks and reinstall them.
Notice you called it a G1; the first Android phone was called the G1, do not disrespect it, lol!
I do that but it cannot install
PLease notice that I have posted in this topic with same issue

system/app to replace the 2.3 ones. It can replace however it cannot show the Music application anymore (
Now I am happy with 2.2 Froyo rooted
Hi guys,
is there a way to replace the touchwiz calendar app (widget included) with the original ics stuff? Samsung really did a mess in this respect, I definitely prefer the ics version, more flexible and business oriented.
I tried to intall the calendar.apk but the system folder is read only and I cant do it. Also, do I need to install something else or this file is enough?
I searched the threads but the latest news are a little bit old, 2010.
Anybody have the same wish? I am running now the latest LPQ ics for sgs2, rooted.
Get an app that is like Root Explorer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wiY29tLnNwZWVkc29mdHdhcmUucm9vdGV4cGxvcmVyIl0.
that is a paid app but there are free ones that do the same job.
Inside Root Explorer there is a toggle to mount the system as R/W or R/O just swap it over and you can move the apk to the /system folder.
ps.R/W means read/write and R/O means read/only. Should of said that before.

I don't warranty this, use at your risk
Best way is to find stock keyboard in forum & install or flash it.
2nd solution :
Grab "Latin ime " from a deodexed rom (root/system /app / Latin ime. Apk )
#if Latin ime.odex exist so rom is odexed, you must deodex it or try another rom
Install extracted .apk like normal app.
->If you wanna make it as a system app so you must clear dalvik cache too.(if any problems pm me, cause there are more important things that u must know)

STICK KEYBOARD MIGHT NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH ICS

hello,
can you point me to the right direction?
i extracted latinime.apk and touchpal.apk from a stock rom (android 2.2.1 for Huawei U8150) both with an odex file, tried to:
- install touchpal (the keyboard i want) as a normal apk with no luck
- copy it to /system/app then reboot, no luck,
- universal deodexer v3 to deodex the apk, something went wrong 'cause i got some "0 files were copied" messages from it so... no luck
can you tell me what am not doing right? i dont want the market version of TouchPal since it doesn't has the 12-key layout, so i want to extract this stock rom keyboard

You copy touchpal.apk and touchpal.odex to system/app and set the permissions to 644 (rw-r-r). There may be additional files you may need to get language settings etc, which could be in system/usr and even maybe a lib or two in system/lib. But try it as i said first

Done
- files copied to /system/app (using total commander with root permission)
- permissions changed to 644 using a terminal emulator (in the phone)
- rebooted
Result:
- not showing yet under the language & keyboard settings
- not listed as an avaible keyboard on text boxes (when you hold the finger over and input method option shows)
What's the next step?

Chances are an android version 2.2 keyboard won't work on an ICS rom (I assume it's ICS). Maybe they've got a keyboard replacement in the forum for your phone
