When I switch to front camera my camera app freezes and need to reboot phone to use the back one again. Same with the Qik app. Running CM7 beta. Any advice??

Go to the CM7 site and search the bug reports, if its not already posted, post a bug report on it. I havent heard of anyone else with this issue. I havent tried to use my FFC so idk if its a CM7 issue, or a hardware issue with your device.

when i hit fix permissions in rom manager or cwm recovery it doesnt do anything on froyo.. is there a reason behind this?
Its a leak so most likely a bug that will be fixed soon or when official froyo comes out

My buddy runs it on his Droid running 2.2 all the time. I wonder what it would take to get it back on the Vibrant.
I emailed the Dev a month or longer and well never got a response.

What kernel are you on? also, it may be a modem/radio issue. You may want to look into that more
On my phone there was a problem with the recorded imei with ATT. Its just a suggestion to check it out.

back everything up and do a full wipe...fwiw I have not had any problems with mms on cm7.1. I think alot of folks are having issues because they are flashing with out wiping data...imo its a must or silly issue like this happen.
I was reading a post today about deleting telephony.db to fix MMS in CM7, I tried it to fix my Miui mms problem, but apparently it's the fix for CM7 users.

I am on CM7.1 and Glitch (i-500 verizon) and am not able to receive mms. None of the solutions mentioned so far have worked (didn't try to delete telephony.db as there was no confirmation). I really want to make this work. I love everything about the rom. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm kinda surpised i haven't seen this posted here yet since i know there's been plenty of talk about it.
I've tested this myself on my vibrant running AOKP v40 and it mostly works. Main bug is that voice search doesn't work. However, cards seem to work ok and it's a nice replacement for regular search too. I believe its AOSP only, but there's been so much progress, that may have changed already.
I have nothing to do with this app or its development -- just thought i'd share -- so leave any comments or issues in this thread linked below.

I think this version is a little different. I tried one from another thread first that had that issue, but I couldn't get cards working properly. This version seemed to work better for me.

Its working better now but still pointless. The while reason Google now rocks is because it talks back to you. Install the port if CM10 and you will have working Google now with voice and plays a sick fast Vibrant

Please help.. Cannot access my dell streak camera app. It says cannot connect to camera. What should I do.. Desperately needs advise.
What rom are you on?
It might be fixable by going to the camera app properties and clearing it's data.
If that doesnt work, you could try the more drastic step of doing a fac reset.
I had faced this issue when I tweaked build.prop for addressing compatibility issues in play store. Edited back to original values to solve the problem.

Im using a 2.2.2 is updating the dell streak witj the update.pkg supplied by support.dell.com will make the camera work? I already tried clearing the da of the camera app and also did factory reset but still the camera doesn't work

Stop posting the same kind of issues. I already have a thread same like this one. It makes the moderators delete same concerns. And I believe people here are just pretenders. No one seem to know what the fix for this problem is. They dont know a thing. So its useless asking these guys for help when all they teach you are basic junk troubleshooting steps. Unhelpful!

tbh.. we cant really help you because the phone itself is physically not at us... so.. what we told here is pretty much what we have encounter and solved... also not all problem can be solved here... sometimes the device really need to be sent to the phone specialist.. and not here... so right now the most effective way is to sent the phone to the shop that know streak 5...
The best way is flash stock 407 olleh, flash dsc, flash longhorn, and cm7. If you still cannot connect to camera then you can sure that it hardware issue not the rom. Those above rom has camera working very well.

Thanks Bro. Thats what I am talking about. I've done 407, dsc, longhorn and cm7 and back now to dsc. I think I will then conclude this is a HW problem. Some say it may be a Flex issue.
Once you flash a new rom, it's 100% a HW problem and not software.
I think I know whats wrong with my camera.. When I read my logcat it says there's no preview frame layout. Please help where will I get it?

Have you tried a different rom? If it works with that then its a rom issue and you should report the bug to the developer (if its not already a known issue)
Edit: Also should make sure it's not the wifi itself. Do that by either trying the phone on a different wifi network, or using a different device on it (preferably an android device.) Also make sure the password is right and such...

I have had the same problem a lot, it appears to be a general android issue with several android phones.
But none of the solutions I have found have been a solid solution for this issue.
Usually when this happens I've been running the same rom for several months, I just update my rom and good as new.
(Please let us know if you find a permanent solution. Don't abandon this post )

Come to think of it... I do remember encountering this issue a while back... I want to say I was on gingerbread so could have been cm7 issue... I am on cm10 atm and had no problems with cm9 as well... I would recommend cm10, it is really nice
