I am new to tablets and also have never seen two devices developed in the same thread so I was wondering if flyer roms will work on my view? I know there two specific roms for the view but wanted to see if there is more options.

The flyer has a couple of HC ROMs with working hardware buttons, how come the View doesn't have one? is the kernel totally different? or no one is interested in making one because of smaller user base?
You need kennel source

Folks,
Should we use the same forum for AT&T version of HOX. I mean for rooting and stuff like that. I just ordered mine via AT&T today. Exicted
To add a question on the same topic..
Could we run this forum like the Desire HD. It's the exactly same phone, its just the radios...right? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
bump

Clearly not the same as we have some att-purchased x+ brickin Goin on in the development part of this forum
That's sad to see.
Looks like we will have to go the way of the DHD and Inspire 4G. Phones are similar but will require separate dev areas.

Almost all roms worked on the inspire from the dhd.. it was mainly with aosp that you just had to flash the inspire patch but sense roms it didn't really matter but the devs did have to add inspire 4g support which was just a couple tweaks and done
I think we need our own AT&T forum. I believe it would help with a lot of confusion and prevent bricking.

was dynprtm
So ATT HOX+ owners should NOT attempt to flash the roms on this forum correct?

Correct.
Which is weird, because AFAIK the One X+ on AT&T just has a different radio chip.
I've seen that the HTC Flyer has more active development than the HTC Evo View.
So is there any way to port the ROMs from the Flyer to work on the View?
The answer NO. It's definately impossible.
i was thinking,
recently i tried some of the roms the original sub-forum has to offer,
can anyone explain why there is such a huge problem with the camera app?
thanks,
Drivers and bugs are hard to fix

the international version is still problmatic.
although maxwen just released the new aokp 4.2.2 build and he says its supposed to be resolved,
anyway, kinda expected a technical answer
thanks anyway
main problem is that all device specific libs are not open source. Which means that there things that cannot be fixed. Sometimes it's possible to find a workaround but many times not
so blame nvidia and HTC

Are there still developers on htc flyer community?
Please why don`t you try getting the kitkat work on our device. alot more weaker devices where able to run and work fine on it, with adding a new userdata sizes.
so please if there is dev still on these community, please try to get work.

I would also like to see something fresh to the Flyer, because I use it every day as my main phone.

JB ROMS
No, but there are Dexter's and NexusFlyer JB ROMs here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1610925
I just came up with a fix for the capacitive lights being stuck on with NexusFlyer. I need to get to my ten post count so I can post it on the thread.
There are a few other bugs in these ROMs, but I was able to address this one with minimal skills. If everyone would make an effort, maybe we could come up with at least one almost fully functional 4.0 + ROM. Thanks.
