Does flashing a stock rom replace clockworkmod recovery and revert back to stock recovery?

Hi All
I have a Galaxy S2 jailed to portuguese TMN carrier, and it will be easier to see the pope than to expect an official ICS update from them. Can someone indicate a link to a tutorial about how to root & flash ICS rom on S2?
Thank you all for your help.
PS.: I have a Galaxy S and I never thought I would have ICS on it, before the new S2.

If you like pure stock ROM, there's a new ICS called NEAT ROM, by Sale. I'm still on GB, but I am preparing myself to flash Neat ROM, since I like stock .
Whats best rom posts are banned on XDA for the simple reason their is no best and we dont want repetitions of the same post everyday .

Hi, where can I get the latest official rom for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (I have latest Clockwork) but simply with root. I know and see a lot of theme'd roms but I like the way I have everyhting set up now and just want to do an upgrade to whatever is the latest version, yet have my superuser permission.
Thanks for any help!!!
shoulda post this on the Q and A. this is for dev not a place to answer questinos really......you want stock, try task650.
You wont find it in the dev section!
Look here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
Find your country's rom, download and flash with Odin. Everything will be wiped though, so make a backup with titanium.Root it again and restore the backup.

Questions go in the Q&A section
I understand that mods hate these sorts of questions,
But I can say that I have tried 2 different kernals, both didn't work and I was forced to Re-flash my stock ROM back.
I have searched for hours, none of which were similar enough to my situation to be helpful.
My aim is to root, and just root, my Galaxy S2 I9100T running ICS 4.0.3 on Vodafone Australia.
The kernal version is 3.0.15-I9100TDULPB-CL710191 Please keep in mind that my phone it the 'T' model i9100.
I have tried 2 kernals from Chainfire > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
They were called
CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXX_LPB-v5.2-CWM5 and
CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXX_LPB-v5.2-CWM5-PROPER
Both of these made my phone unable to boot past the Samsung Galaxy SII page.
I came to the conclusion that perhaps the CF-root method was not intended for the i9100T model?
I have heard good reviews about the Siyah kernel? Although I have no idea which kernal to flash.
If any one has a recommendation on a modded kernel, please give me the actual link to the download as it will save me a lot of time
Any help is appreciated
Search/ look for 'Root SII without flashing an insecure kernel' under Original Development section.
That method should work for you since you are on ICS.
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
Mate just install syiah kernel + extweak apk u will get root + customizTion

Just use method 1 from 1st guide in my signature.
I've searched for the past hour on and off the forums about flashing the cyanogenmod 10 Rom to my Samsung Galaxy S3.
I Flashed with CF - ROOT 6.4
Model number - GT -I9300
Android Version - 4.1.1
Baseband version - I9300XXDLID
Couldn't really find a definite yes, an obviously don't want to brick my phone. If I can could anybody please link me to a noob guide on how to.
Thanks alot

I flashed the CM10 ROM on my phone last night...it's the "stable" ROM that was released on 13 Nov and it is awesome! I have a Sprint GS3 and it flashed very easily with TWRP. Check it out.

Hi.
My apologies if a similar thread exists, I am new to the XDA Community.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S II GT-i9100T from the Telstra network in Australia that my dad gave me because he didn't need it anymore.
I'm having an issue because the memory card slot is broken. I need to root the phone so I can load all of my personal things like music etc on to the phone.
I'm just not sure how to root it. I am running the latest version of Android on it, Android 4.1.2 with TouchWiz UI installed. It is a vanilla install of Samsung's Android.
Thanks guys, Alpha.

Just download this kernel and flash it in stock recovery. Then reboot
