im running stock 2.3 uk firmware now i have even installed the adb drivers everything is enabled whenever i downgrade my kernel and take off the usb and replug no root nothing ? i am getting desperate my pc detects my phone so does flashtool :/
i think i found the solution i flashed an x10i firmware while my phone is an x10a can that cause conflict?
It can yeah best bet is use seus to get back to stock. Check with flashtool makers binary or zdizhu if it compatible I not sure so I not want to give u wrong advice.

It won't cause any conflict...
i think u should install se pc companion..i solved this problem by doing that because it contain adb driver.. refer to azuzu thread.
yo.. i had a similar issue.
2.3 kernel and the 2.1 kernel use different versions of ADB drivers.
Enable usb debugging.
Flash 2.1 downgrade kernel.
Uninstall all drivers
Install 2.1 drivers.
"you may require to have the device manager open for this for quick usb device access"
Do kernel upgrade.
Uninstall all drivers
Re-install 2.3 drivers.
You can thank me later.

Correction
Recovery doesnt depend on BASEBAND...
ROMS depend on it.
I have tried using the official gingerbread here in the us, and i couldn't get the 3g data working..
On another note, you can use the clock work mod for the new base band, on the old base band... It works great, and is the most recent.
That's what I use

NO IT DOES NOT. Do you have no idea what root is for?
Here is a nice overview for you:
Getting root or rooting your phone is the process of modifying the operating system that shipped with your device to grant you complete control over it.
This means you can overcome limitations that the carriers and manufacturers put on your phone, extend system functionality, and even upgrade it to a custom flavor of Android.
The name root comes from the Linux operating system world, where the most privileged user on the system (otherwise known as Administrator on Windows) is called root.
Root DOES NOT speed up your phone, which you should have realised when you read the description of root. Root allows you flash a new ROM, which is a new GUI of your phone, or a new kernel, which MAY make your phone faster in certain aspects, especially if you overclock your phone.
By the way, I found the root description by simply typing into google "root for android explained" if you get confused again...
Chris.
Thanks ....

Hi
We have the same firmware and I have rooted my phone. It's easy as long as you take it patiently and read things regarding the procedure so you don't mess with your priced possession.
Go to galaxys2root.com- Find the article "How to root Galaxy s2". This is a step by step process with video as well as pictures so that you won't get lost in the process. The links on this site will still get you here @ xda forum so it's legit and this is what I used to root my device. Please read it carefully and refer to the pictures each time you finished the steps needed.
And if you want to download your "Official Firmware" just in case you want to go back and have your warranty at sammy service centers just go to INTRATECH's post here @ xda and download it then flash it via odin. Remember you also need to have a "usb jig" to erase traces that you have made in your device. If the link of Official Firmware @ Intratech's post won't make you download it because it is broken (last time I did I can't download it) then go to samfirmware.com.
Im totaly confused cuz i dnt want to lose my warranty... Maybe ill wait for the ics... It will be better

"The previously leak was version UCLC5. The following build is UCLD3. This is a major bug fix build, so there are no new features. Cool.. new leak :-D getting closer to official... then kernel sources and we even have init.d injection from another member... things are getting juicy personally waiting on a CWM version/ROM by a known dev using this base before I test drive it. Neat none the less and glad cwm/root are attainable without modification after Odin.

Did you install the required kernel for X10s? You need doomlord's modified kernel for that particular ROM... flash the kernel and reinstall X10s and phone should be alright....

Hey Glidden234, take off the battery > turn off mobile > charge it until 100%
then turn on > execute a manual reboot
Still happen?
Else, check for perform a clean installation of that ROM (wiping cache, data, dalvik),etc
Hope that works

i think is the battery or the simcard, the phone actually restart when i am using any app. Example y run angry bird he may restart at the begining or when i get out of the game. Or just searching some contact on the phone. He restart a lot when the simcard is inserted. When is out of the phone he restart some times only or just the screen goes black and i have to remove the battery to restart the phone
Another thing last night i was charging the phone and it was 100% and after a while the phone charge was going down little by little and when he got 50% i disconnected after another while it was 79% and going up...

Did you want to mean simcard or sdcard? Did you try (just to avoid some other ways to solve it) with another SD?

So you mean to say that you have doomlords boot manager v2, but what ROM are you using ? And what kernel ?... it may be just wrong kernel for a particular ROM... so what are the names of the kernel and rom...?

If you feel this is complicated then install Xperia X10S V9 rom from below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29106815&postcount=3239
Flash the downloaded file the above link through flashtool and you are done.. i preferred Xperia X10S rom as its more smoother than feraROM...
Good luck....

I did IT all ready and got worse.
You really need to use SEUS to reinstall stock gb
Then try again
2.1 straight to x10s will cause problems
SEUS seems to do the best factory reset known to man,
When I have big rom problems, wiping all caches / partitions, then reinstalling custom roms causes problems for me
So before I flash I always stock first
Seems most problems I have then disappear
