Hello,
Yesterday I checked for updates and I got the message that there is a new update available called "3d Spiele" that means "3d games". It is about 47mb big and as I know it seems to change my hboot to ...018. So I tried to update normaly but of course it didn't worked and then I tried to update with cwm but it also didn't worked.
It isn't a problem to take out the 3d games of the .zip files but there also are some other files, for example security changes and that's the reason why I ask.
Could anyone explain me what to do or make it flashable trough cwm?
I don't have a branded phone and I rooted it with revolutionary tool

I know, I allready did that.
But it also says that there are some new other things about security and other things. And in the .zip file there are more than only that 4 .apk's, so I wanted to ask if i need them and what should I do with them. Isn't there a chance to get it installed trough cwm?
You can try to flash the full stock ROM (RUU_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.8)
I noticed you don`t loose S-Off after this.
Then you can flash the recovery again via "PG86IMG.zip" from bootloader.
After this,flash "su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip" again.

One big concern for those that have rooted with the HTC unlock method:
How do we update the radio in the future? If you look at gu1dry's radio thread he says you must be s off to update (via bootloader) and we don't get s off with this method. Can someone ease my mind?
I guess I have the same question for updating wimax as well.
Wrong thread to ask in? Try in q and a. But regardless yes you need to be s off in order to flash a new radio.

there is no other way right now You can only get the radio update with an official OTA or RUU.. You also cant flash splash screens

So when the next OTA/radio update is out you be able to take it and remain unlocked but most likely unrooted with a good chance of root being broken?

It will most likely unroot it, but you'll still be able to root it exactly the same way you did when you first unlocked it. By either flashing a rom that is already rooted or flashing the superuser.zip
Hey i just used the htc official root method and i now need to flash over a recovery and superuser, how in the hell do i do it without s-off? I know a ton of people have successfully achieved it but i cannot find the threads....please help
If you are unlocked
You need to fastboot flash cwm or twrp
Then just install SU zip Nd flash via recovery

How do i fastboot flash?
You have to put the phone in fastboot by going into hboot and selecting fastboot..
Then connect the USB to your comp. And flash the recovery of you choosing through cmd
YouTube or google zedomax or htcevohacks.com
There is also a full step by step guide on xda.. use the search to find it

I have it rooted...and I ****ed up and didn't back up my Sprint ROM...I was looking for the stock ROM because I need to now learn how to use clockwork to flash kernels, miui doesn't work and only synergy works but its so Danny buggy its ridiculous...you know anywhere I can get a deoxed Sprint ROM?

Hey thanx...ill try that after I overcome.another damn hurdle...I.guess since its not s-off you have to flash everything...I just found a sprint stock ROM...but the same problem I ran into on synergy I'm still running into...my Wimax not working, and neither is my WiFi...or neither one of my cameras? So I take it I need a radio update? I figured that was happening in synergy because it was just an alpha release...(or at lease the one I had was just a release not a complete) but I switched to this sprint and now I'm still screwed.

Yeah it is. It was actually in the 3d forum earlier but a mod over there said it was in the wrong area and moved it. What a genius
Actually I put the thread in the wrong area all my own. He places it in the correct area...I had a huge problem I ran into but thank god, I found out how to solve it.

FYI, if you decide to do the latest update (651.5) you will need to relock your phone first, flash stock RUU and then unlock it again (same unlock_code.bin file).
I have some good/failed examples of loading/entering recovery via fastboot in a "problem" thread of mine:

Ill definitely have to read this because currently i have a kernel on there i can't remove...i mean i love the kernel but it doesn't provide the clocking like its supposed to...or maybe i didnt flash it right Idk because my radios are ridiculously fast i pulled down 1.5mbps on 3g just this morning

First i would like to say i am a beginner when it comes to rooting etc.
I rooted my evo 3d gsm with revolutioary to get custom roms which i did successfully
However i want to unroot and remove revolutionary so i can get OTA updates and be ready for ICS

Install the latest official ruu. I would highly advise against this however as HTC will likely add an undowngradable hboot in their, and it will only take an extra day or so to have a safe recovery installable version.

Yes it will, and you will not be able to install any custom roms until you re-root and install a custom recovery.

No problem. Download this file: http://www.filefactory.com/file/c0b....00_10.15.9020.06_M_release_219793_signed.exe , then connect your phone to the PC via USB and run the file, it will guide you through the rest. Afterwards run the updates via "About Phone" as per normal.
Note that sometimes you won't be able to download it from that site when traffic is heavy, you may be able to find a mirror but I couldn't see any after quickly scanning.

I'm using ext4 as recovery.
I tried to flash a few ics rooms but all of them get stack at logo screen, sometime almost half an hour until I get out the battery.
I can install only rom with low versions like leedroid 3.
Did anyone can help me?

No you don't need ext4 partition on sd. Did you wipe data, cache, dalvik and system before flash ICS rom?

Did u try boot without sdcard after flashing Rom remove sdcard and flash boot IMG through fastboot

Test md5 sum off the Rom on u sdcard what Rom u testing fix u sdcard might be faulty reformat with 4ext recovery

Does ANYONE have this file!? The only place it is linked is globatrons dead thread, and that whole website is no longer available. Can anybody please help me find this file? It is my understanding the modified hboot in that file is the only one that exists to upgrade an existing gb soff hboot to honeycomb. Thanks in advance for any help

Just picking up your statement Do you also have a flashable, working version of DextersJB JellyBean 4.1.1?
The download there seems for me not a flashable zip, but a collection of dexter's whole files. If you look into there are also folders for the view device.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. I'm looking to upgrade from gb to hc. I already have s-off on gb but can't find the RUU with the modified hboot to upgrade to the hc hboot and keep s-off that globatron developed. If you have that file that would be great!!

Hey, the file in the original thread is the flashable zip. The view files in there are just two boot images in case you had a view instead of a flyer.

I just thought and please correct me, if I am wrong, that for a flashable.zip boot.img needs to be in the root of the zip!?

You could be right about that, when I installed this build I had to flash the boot image separately anyway because I was not s-off. I would imagine if you don't want to do that all you would have to do is move the boot image for your device into the root folder.
Okay, well if nobody has this file, does anybody know if I can update to HC the regular way and not brick my device? It is GB s-off right now and I'm not seeing a way to update that to HC s-off since no one hosts the modified files anymore. Anyone know if it's a problem to update to HC the regular way?
i have pg41img3glight.zip i dont know if it works for wifi version.
Also im not sure but i think that you need the honeycomb hboot version only for upgrading from gb and then you can install any custom rom.
If you try to upgrade and your flyer get bricked dont worry its easy to unbrick it all you need is gb ruu from androidruu.com or your nandroid backup.

Sorry I was talking about the 3g file. I'm going to give it a shot and see if it works if you can send it
