I was trying to install a mod for the TripNMIUI rom I had on my X10, but I think I somehow ended up completely wiping my phone instead.
Now it wont get past the SONY ERICSSON logo screen, and I can't get into xRecovery.
I have a backup, but I have no idea how to get xRecovery on the device so that I can restore it.
So, my question is this: how do I install xRecovery on a completely wiped X10?
Please help.
EDIT:
Well, turns out I did have an idea after all. This is what I did:
1. Installed stock SE rom via SEUS by doing to 'Repair phone' thing
2. Rooted and installed xRecovery with Flashtool
3. Restored my latest backup
Forgive my noobiness. Since the thread is now pointless, how do I delete it?

Hello everyboday,
I'm so desperated, I can't run 2.2 correctly, installed it and the only this what happen is that the Froyo 2.2 is crashing ans rebooting. When the phone boot to android and I unlock the screen the phone is crashing and rebooting.
I thought I made something wrong with apps, xRecovery ect.
So I made the phone back as how it was when I bought it with SEUS update.
Now installed Root, Done! Busybox, Done! xRecovery, Done! Jit, Done! DualTouch, Done!
Everything listed above installed successfull. So now I folled this Guide:
2.2 Froyo Guide
So installed FreeX10-beta2.zip and gapps_1901_FreeX10.zip succesfull.
When the phone boot fully to android and I unlock the phone, its crashing and rebooting, .. Please help me ...
have you make a backup on xRecovery?
if you did, pull the battery out, wait for few minutes, star again and go back to xRecovery and restore.
Yes i did a backup in xrecovery from 2.1, just restore with xRecovery and everything as back?
you'll get back to your previous 2.1

My phone is stuck at SE logo.. Xrecovery is also not working.. SEUS also not working. Can rom be flashed vai flash tools . Actually i installed wrong kernel on my rom n the phone became unresponsive.. Please can anyone help. Cant get my phone working.
same here... please can some one help us in installing kernal or roms through flash tools?
if it's stuck at se logo then Seus should work...
flash stock firmware with flashtools and start all over.
Yes, you can
Hi.
I went through something similar, if not the same.
My rom got corrupted with the new kernel, I lost xrecovery and SEUS asks for the SD card to be mounted, which cannot be because ROM did not see it after kernel update.
before reading further, you need to have your phone rooted, you can do it via xrecovery, easily found in this forum.
what did I do to solve it?
***EDITED****
I installed a generic ROM via flashtool, you do not have to boot the phone to do it, the bad thing is that everything will be wiped from phone (not from SD though)
you can find generic X10 stock roms in this forum.
After that, you will be good to go.
hope this helps.
I have a problem when I tried to install a custom ROM.
I backed up my files using XRecovery, and copied the contents of my SD card on the PC first..
I used the XRecovery to wipe the SDcard, system, cache, data, and delvic-cache..
Then, I mounted the SDcard and plugged it in the PC. I put the CustomROM.zip on the card. Now when I'm trying to install the rom thru XRecovery, it won't work.
I tried to reboot my phone, now my phone is stuck in the
"Sony Ericsson" text when I start my phone; and can't even boot to XRecovery!
How can I
Please help me.. I need my phone so badly..
Please........

What ROM you have installed?
what requirements are appropriate?
because most of the ROMs are now installed with cwm recovery not xrecovery.
if you can get xrecovery try to restore.
If it can not, must be flashed with SE Update Service or flashtool.
sorry for my bad english
I was trying to install Cyanogen MINI pro (MiniCM7_Pro_V16)...
I tried to flash the BIOS using the SE updater service, it says, it could not identify the phone (maybe because, I wiped everything out..)
I think you have to use SEUS, its not pc companion.
Try this http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/soft/961758/
not sure if it will work but just try, just click Download Update Service Pro 2.9 once on site. It might read your phone.
or do you have a flash tool?
just tried this but have to wait for Sony to validate my account.
im now trying this site http://sony-ericsson-update-service.en.uptodown.com/
this one will update your phone when turned of so should work.
I already tried that.. It keeps on displaying the error message:
"Could not identify the device. Please Try again."
try this, its got 2.1 firmwares as well and a flash tool.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to get back to xRecovery so I can flash my back up to where it was.
I was trying to load a new ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238402
I rooted, loaded xRecovery 0.3, and flashed it. After that I was stuck in a boot loop with the SE Logo hanging and I couldn't get back to xRecovery, so I used Flashtool and loaded one of the kernels that came with the tool and managed to boot successfully, but apparently the WiFi gives an error and it's being iffy when trying to communicate with Flashtool again (When Asking for Root Permits, it won't give the prompt on the phone)
My idea was to reinstall xRecovery with Flashtool and restore from my backup, but I can't seem to be able to get to xRecovery to install or to work for that matter. Apparently this phone is more complicated to toy around than my Xperia X8 and I screwed up this time around
Any ideas?
after you flash FXP tft files, you only able to get to CWM recovery. but since you already unlocked bootloader, go flash Doomlord boot manager, you will get both CWM and xRecovery back. you can use xRec there. cheers
could you link me to the files you're referring to? I can't make heads or tails of exactly which I need. I saw some supposed Kernel Files from DoomLord, but they were .zip.
Do you think flashing the X10a Generic Firmware with Flashtool would work?

As I understand it, it's a kernel, baseband, and OS all in one?
Hi all,
Was hoping somebody can help me,
i'm having trouble booting my phone into xrecovery after updating my phone firmware from 2.0.1.A.0.47 to 2.1.1.A.0.6 via PC companion using this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15902809#post15902809
ever since upgraded to 2.1.1.A.0.6 i'm not able to reboot my phone into the recovery
i've tried replacing the files in the folders and made sure my phone is rooted already
is there anything i'm missing?
Thanks~
Edit: finally found the solution, used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999393 to boot it into recovery =D
