Kewl, thanks, I'll give it a try
Keep ur eyes peeled for official release of liberty also.
just make a stock nandroid and try em all.
Just make sure u r running the right Android version for each rom.
eclipse 1+>2.3.4
Liberty>2.3.4(download is at rotzwiki...not complete but stable)
Da funk>2.3.4
ATRIX or alien >2.3.3
eclipse 8.1 and lower>2.3.3
And I really don't recommend using any of the half complete roms for 2.2.2...just update ur system and get one of the above.
I say try them all too. I've settled with Molten for now though. Fastest I've seen!

Thanks, and when you say "Liberty>2.3.4(download is at rotzwiki...not complete but stable)" is this because it's an RC?

Moto-Ginger-Funk retains all the best features of Moto-Blur, but improves the stock ROM where needed. And it adds some cool enhancements like pull-down toggle switches on the notification screen.

Pretty much.
It seems that kejar is also more active over at rootzwiki than he is.over here also.
The rom apparently runs just fine(I haven't been able to get to 2.3.4 yet to try it.)
It just hasn't gotten all the features that people have come to expect from a liberty rom. For now it is the stable base for liberty that will be improved upon when it is updated. Liberty development team is in the.process of bringing liberty to a few phones at the moment.(x2, bionic, droid2, etc...) so u can expect it to be supported nicely by the dev team.
Pretty much every rom we have for x2 has a great dev behind it that jumps on any bugs that may be present and squashes them very quickly.

I think the only one made with it integrated is a Sony TV.
But there is also an "adapter" u can use on other TVs.
Comes with full web browsing capabilities(has a full keyboard/navigation remote ) and apps being developed for it.
I even saw videos on YouTube of them being rooted lol

I personally have the Hero on Sprint, my dad has the Eris, is there a ROM that's similar to DarchDroid/Cyanogenmod for the Eris? Overclock, senseless, and Apps2SD are the most important features I'm after.
Have you looked in our "Droid Eris Android Development" section?

Yeah, looking through the list of ROMs here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649705

WW is a great AOSP rom, and if you wait it out when KaosFroyo is finalized it will be superb to say the least. Diamond in the rough.
I tried it out a while back but I couldn't get a2sd to work so I went back to white widow. But it was pretty fast and smooth.

Hey everybody, I just order a Fascinate today and was interested in what ROM you guys/girls prefer to use. Im switching from a droid 2, and previously a droid 1, which had a great ROM community. I think its fantastic that there are so many Galaxy S phones but I think it is unfortunate that Roms are not applicable across models.
In addition to selecting what rom you are using it would be great to say what works great and what is still buggy. Please let me know if I forgot anything.

Welcome to the community!
Personally, I've been using jt1134's Super Clean with AOSP. Bubby323's Magic with AOSP is looking very promising. I tested version 0.2 for a couple days. and I think 0.3 will be a winner.
We're just getting started here in month 2 of the Fascinate's release, and there has already been some spectacular progress, mainly in the kernel department. There are some familiar names from the D1 community at work over here, and once FroYo drops for this phone, things should REALLY take off! (Seriously, who wants to work on a version of the OS that is already out of date, and will be replaced any minute now?)
I am loving that Blue Breeze!
Actually thought there would be more out there by now. Or at least some themes. I am sure, in time!

Well, I just finished an Android app that would have taken most devs about a half an hour. It took me a week, and I now have bald spots.
So I guess time is relative!
stock rom and just remove what you want
Add option for stock lol.
None of the above? I ran the update on my phone, reapplied root and continued on from there.

so how are you liking it compared to your droid 2?
using Zinc V1.0 right now. So far i'm liking it, but there's not a whole lot of difference in anything right now. I've tried jt's clean, blue breeze, aosp magic and Zinc, and they're pretty much all variations on a theme. not that there's anything wrong with that, i'm simply saying whatever you pick you can't go wrong, and it's easy to change anything you don't like about any one of them.

As far as I know, we haven't had a true, clean, non-CM, AOSP ROM since 2.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773127&highlight=Vanilla). I tried with Froyo with only partial success. It seems that the mods that the CM team has done allow us to work around the fact that HTC hasn't given us new drivers & libs since 2.1 and we are still on a 2.6.29 kernel. So, that's why you see new CM ROMs, but not AOSP.
That's how I understand it anyway. As always, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
And feel free to prove me wrong by building a GB AOSP ROM! I'd love to see one. It's nice to have options.

cool, got it loaded and on nand for later toying. Up to now I've been using a market GB launcher port (Launcher2 its called) on CM7 when the mood hit for a vanilla GB feel (which makes it feel very simular to this rom). I cant explain but there's an envy I get everytime I look at a vanilla nexus gingerbread (and its not the phone). I also had this complex with asop froyo but got over it.

Safest is always full wipe, but if noone in the Tazz 17 thread has said what worked for them, you could do a nandroid, just wipe Dalvik (not .android-secure) and flash over. Then if it gives trouble, nandroid restore your backup, backup your apps your favorite way (if you want to), then do a full wipe and flash, then restore your apps.
Hi guys, I want to know what is the best rom for AT & T Atrix, I tried cherryblur 1.4d, but I have reboots, tried another rom cherry kernel-AT & T but does not work lapdock.
I have the Atrix rooted with the bootloader unlocked, is there any way to install the official rom without getting a hard brick?
Thanks,

its all personal preference
Im on Alien about to get on faux's Kernal. Did anyone notice that the menu button unlocks the phone too?? and in my camera/camcorder res settings i cant see ne thing but the green dots on the right until i click and hold. its like white text on white bg til i click. ive had some apps fc too just hoping the cache gets filled pretty fast as i read being deodexed the system cache needs to be built up and the os will run fast
I might just try Ninja rom. I seen that 1 first and then i seen the new alien. i love cwm :-D
I'm rockin Cherryπ right now....haven't gotten around to flashing a kernel yet.

not sure why you would like cherry better. i'm not crazy about navalynt. i think alien has a lot more potential if kenn gets on another dev to work with; seems as though he's too busy for his own ROM.
πCrust totaly a winner! Fast, stable, froyo like battery life, no FCs. Perfect!
I'm on CherryBlur last version, and very happy.
Do you think its worth to move to Alien ? its way better ?

Eww Eclipse. I had such horrid battery life on there, and the wifi issues are unbearable for me. It looked pretty though.
I still insist Liberty had the best battery life of any rom on the X2, and I think it had hdmi, can't remember, it's been awhile. If it weren't for my extended battery I would still be running it, but for now I'm on CM7.
Eclipse is where it's at!
Everyone here is going to tell you Eclipse or Liberty until CM7 or MIUI get HDMI output. Most likely MIUI will get it first though since CM7 doesn't support it. With the limited amount of ROMs available for the X2, you only have so many choices.
