Screen Promblem -pink colour distorted ;( - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have brought the GTab 10.1 for 3 months already from a agent in US, and it mailed to Hong Kong to me.
Everything is fine except very little newton rings occur in rare situation.
However, from this week, my LCD screen started with some colour distortion, which white colours all become pink gradually after long term use. It is not fixed and rotate same way with screen position.
I have phoned the agent in US but they refused to help me to send it back to Samsung and stated that Samsung will cost them charge to repair this problems. They just throw me to Hong Kong Samsung Custom Service to repair it which is cost the same.
Did anyone got this problems too? Did Samsung cost repair charge for repairing this problem? I need some evidence to argue with the agent. Please help!!
Thanks for any help!!

I suggest you chat with a live support person. Worked for me.

As an update,
After have a live chat with Samsung US support, they ask me to send the GTab back to have a check. They don't tell me if they charge for repair or not. Since I am sure I haven't drop it or related to software issue, it is almost due to faulty graphic hardware. I will try to argue with the agent again.
Hope all things fine...

Help!!!

I dropped my phone and now my camera doesnt work. It shows a fuzzy picture like a TV needs tuning in. Any ideas. I already reflashed it following someones advice and it didnt work. can i buy a replacement camera and where?
Where, when, and from whom did you buy your phone?
I bought my phone from t-mobile uk 3 months ago.
Then flash it back to one of the official ROMs, and send it to t-mobile for repair.

I agree. If there is no visible damage then it should be covered under warranty.
thanks for the advice. there are scratches on the outside from dropping it, however something really wierd has happened. I dropped the phone a second time and it seems to have sorted the camera problem!!! spooky
antway thanks for all your help.

Its really frustrating so please if anyone know how to fix this issue help me
Oh i did hard reset wipe everything and the issue still there do i have the faulty unit?

Drew
I'd get it exchanged asap.
the problems is this is not my phone originally i bought it off someone it work fine till recently (about a week).
Ibring it to Bell, Bell refused to service it they need the original receipt. but it's clearly a Bell branded phone and it just release not long go??
Then i contacted Samsung Canada, they too told me that the need the receipt! the supervisor even told me if i have it a day and no receipt they will not honor the warranty.
Does this making any sense at all to you guys? anyhow, I canceled Bell service and also did email to Samsung Canada and will email Samsung in Korea as well when my friend free this coming up week, he is korean
anyhow, thanks for your help
im so excited before and now super pissed and sad!!

Broken Screen need replacement

I dropped my tablet corner first and the lower left corner smashed and the corner of the glass broke in lots of pieces
now my screen has 2-3 big cracks over it. Does anyone know where I can get it repaired in Asia or if in the US who can I contact for pick up, estimates and other stuff.
Go to Sony website to check out local Song Corp in Asia for services.
I asked our sony service centre in saudi arabia .a screen replacment costs about thesame price of a new tablet !
But may be cost varies from a country to another.
If you can't fix it, Id get a galaxy tab or galaxy note 10.1. Im dissapointed in my Sony Tablet. The only feature I lack on other tablets is the IR remote, which I sadly can't use as I don't have anything that uses it.

How do you not own anything that uses IR? I find that impossible, how you can have a tablet but not a TV as all TVs use IR...
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
I chatted with the Sony US (that's where i bought mine) and they kept referring me to a repair number which i can't call coz im not in the US and IDD costs. my local service center sucks

The sony service center in my area doesnt repair tablets does the screen replacement include labor?
If you have replaced your screen already then this is not nessasary but here is my plan for if my screen will crack:
Just send it back with the message that you had the little black cord attached on it, the one that comes with the tablet, and tell them that your cord snapped
just like that, nothing you can do about it you could give it a try right?

Not a common problem, but why didn't you just exchange it where you bought it from if it was brand new?
A more common problem is dust in the FFC and proximity sensor, though.

Because I bought if of someone they had it on contract and I think they bought it from someone prior to me so I am third owner it would be a nightwear trying to sort it out that way so this was the only way the phone is brand new.I hope I get it back soon it's a lovely phone in yellow.
Well I contacted them today via chat and the agent said my handset has been swapped for a new one and should be back this week it was unrepairable beyond economical repair. The phone itself was only 5days old what could of happened to it?I was going to claim the free wireless charger but if the details have changed can I still get it?
The free charger is only available or I should say was only available to AT&T customers only. That deal is now over. Also unless you bought it straight from AT&T then good luck on getting as it was not Nokia that was doing the special.
That's strange because I am in uk and on my box it clearly says offer is still valid for uk customers I have a unique code on my box.

i saw on wpcentral.com that there is an actual promotion for a free wireless charger for the 920, and a free back cover and charger for the 820

I don't know what the law is in whatever country you live in. But here in New Zealand, if you have returned the phone to the manufacturer and had it "repaired" and it is still not fit for purpose, you are entitled to a full refund under the consumers guarantee act.
I implore you to read whatever legislation covers your interaction with manufacturers (or importers) in your country and cite these specific clauses when you contact Samsung support, that may help you to get their notice.
Stirring up a social media ****storm will not get your phone fixed/replaced/refunded. Using your rights within the laws of your country will.
merely my opinion.
