If you have backup efs folder which contained IMEI, you can restore it back..
But if you doesn't, same nexus s user send their devices in for IMEI repair.

Hey guys!
I´ve got a problem. I have a HTC HD2 which had WinMo before. Long time ago I changed it to Android. Couple of days ago, I wanted to change to a new Android version so I deleted the whole OS on my Android to install a new one.
I got stuck on the Magdlr option because I couldn´t go select any option. I realized then, that my call button is broken!
Do you have any Idea, how it is possible to install Android, because WinMo sucks!!
Greetings

Maybe reflash the old one and flash

Head over to i9100 forums and look there. There are many threads there relating to this....also, when you ask, spend a little time explaining exactly how you lost it.
If you haven't backed it up you may have to send it to Sammy

install original samsung GB firmware, root it, back up efs, install whatever rom you like and revert your efs backup... duh... besides: this question has been answered several times... on the correct forums...
I'd vote to close this thread -_-
Hi ,
Am really not familiar what is KERNEL and what is ROM ?
my phone got into a reboot-loop after battery was dead , tried everything not working , and i can't go to warranty because i bought my phone from another country (i moved here 2 months ago to work) so in this country they have N7105(i think)_ but mine is N7100 ... they said different parts .
Do i have a chance to get rid of the reboot-loop ? i can access the download page and the restore thingy with the download from ZIP .
Do i need a ROM ? a Kernel ?
where to get one ?
and how to apply it (i am under UBUNTU 12.10) i have heimdall-frontend installed with heimdall , but failed installing the stock kernel

Just Odin to stock, but you will probably get more help in the n7100 forum. This is the Verizon i605 forum.

I couldn't find any thread about my situation, so decided to make one and wish to find help for this little problem:
So i forgot to backup my EFS folder, flashed custom ROM and phone got into bootloop. I fixed that but lost my imei during progress.
I sent my phone to repair because I don't have any required tools to rewrite IMEI but now I'm facing a new problem; repairing store has samsung anyway jig but no skills to repair IMEI and they are asking me to help them, so how does repairing IMEI work with samsung anyway jig? I have no experience about that. For the record, i know it is illegal to change your IMEI but my goal is to get the original one back. Would send stats about my phone but it's at repair so all i can say it's I9300 (INTERNATIONAL!!!! NEE) 4.3JB with stock ROM and IMEI is now 0049...
the only thing I can think of is the sticker with your imei is damaged and unreadable therefore the only other place it is written down is on the factory shipped box. Apart from that any further discussions regarding changing or modifying imei are forbidden on these boards

Most of the times a ODIN stock rom redo fix it all, here is an old link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187081

You just need the 4.1.2 MG4 firmware from BTU region . I recovered my imei on i9300 after using this firmware.
here's the link: http://rapidgator.net/file/7a1606232...9e7efe8d0e1cdb
Do a backup of your efs after flashing
Send it for Jtag...
They can fix any imei or bricked device issues..

Questions go in the q&a forum, report your own post and ask a moderator to move it.
We can't help you with imei restoring, take it to a reputable repairer instead.
