So i'm kind of new to all of this. I was hoping someone could help me on how to find the correct radio to flash for my phone. thanks
You should at least tell us
What is your phone?
Country?
Model?
Current radio?
Flashing radio is quite dangerous.

It's an HTC Thunderbolt, USA, and I have no idea what my current radio is.. not sure how to find that info?
You may refer to this thread. forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048128
What you need to do is recognize you current OS, your cellular provider is using CDMA or LTE.
using wrong version radio may harm your devices.
Make sure you know what you are doing now.

1. Are you referring to the Telus Fascinate (GSM)?
2. This belongs in the Q&A section

Not development. Q & A section.

I used mine in India, both New Delhi and Chennai. I didn't expect it work but it did.
Well ours certainly doesn't have a SIM, UICC, or UIM.

correct. I am using verizon fascinate in india, you can help yourself in programming the handset to your network in whichever country you reside by searching google thru cdma workshop.
uim slot installation on non uim slot phone really needs a deep knowledge technically especially hardware (data lines & address lines), its like installing a new hardware port. For that you need new body also, plus a soldering kit plus good experience in digital electronics.
is it true chinese implement a uim slot on fascinate? any sources? really fascinating me.
Hey
Flashed this any everything works apart from my phone cant find any network nor data signal. Tried flashing different kernals and modems but nothing works. Some people have had the same problem but no luck either.
Does anyone have any idea's how to fix this?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Enter network settings manually is the normal first step .

Thanks will give it a shot

No voice NOR data signal? Sounds like the modems that came with the ROM you flashed aren't compatible with your network. Try the modem thread.
So if i found a t mobile modem for example then flashed that, it should work?

Yes. Provided you're meaning T-mobile Europe. (NOT T-mobile USA)

Just be sure you use I9100 modems. Don't use modems intended for any other models of phone...
hmm not having too much luck finding a t-mobile modem. Know where i could potentially find one ?

Shipped modem thread.
Doesn't seem to be anything that specifies which are used by T-Mobile of any particular country though. You could ask around and see if any T-Mobile users in your country can tell you what modems they are using in their phone.
I don't find a "hydroxygen mod v1" ROM when I search. Are you referring to "HydrOG3NMOD V1.2"? If so, it may be better for you to post in that thread asking if any other users of that ROM are experiencing the same issue. Maybe some additional steps are necessary.
But if you don't get help there, I'd suggest you reflash a stock ROM first (from Intratech's official stock firmware thread) and make sure you get voice/data signal. Then reflash whatever ROM you're looking at, but remove "modem.bin" from the package before flashing so you retain the modems that work.
Thanks alot man really helped and sorry my bad. Meant the one you posted the link too

Hi there.
The ROM doesn't flash modem, as this is user based preference.
I'm using Ki4 here. In France.
And here is HydrOxygen Btw.

Hey, I got a simple question: How to unlock phones, specifically CricKet phones. I want to learn to do this. Is there a FREE program to do this? If not, can I do it manually?

1. You need the unlock code for the device.
2. Enter the code.
Are you looking for the place to put the unlock code into the phone? Have you tried putting in another SIM card? My tablet just asked for the unlock code when I did that.

But, not all phones are GSM meaning not all use SIM card. What about CDMA phones, the ones that don't use SIM card?

Same for CDMA. You need a code.

I meant reflash it for another carrier other than the one it came on originally.
Anyway, once the new Qualcomm chip drops later this year this should become almost a non-issue.

What I've seen or learned so far is that you need to buy Flashing Programs but I would want one for free.

Hey, I'm a complete newb to mobile phones. I have a Gereic CDMA Sch-r760x, I found a root guide on it on this forum, forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40087292 but noticed it's really for the us cellular counterpart. My question is Will flashing and rooting somehow delete my Mobile Nation carrier information and make my phone think it's US Cellular?

I also have no clue where to put this.

what you are searching for is called debranding!
what you need to know:
your phone ,
your carrier
your actual software versions
kies software by samsung
odin
.. an some other stuff, depending on your mobile carrier
e.g. for o2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064894
.. but i think it is outdated!
if you don't find something yourself, post it in the Q&A thread of your device, by providing the informations of, software versoin, android version and carrier
:good:
Thank you for the term, but I guess I didn't explain enough, I do NOT want to accidentally debrand my phone and screw up my cell service. Will rooting cause this to happen.

This is probably a stupid question but hey, can't hurt to get some input.
I have recently found myself in possession of an AT&T Galaxy Mega. I have T-Mobile as my carrier so have no intention of using the built in 4G from AT&T. Can I flash a T Mobile rom and baseband to it? I assume this will brick it and I am better off just leaving it be and using it as a plain wifi-only tablet but want to verify with the experts.
I am no novice to flashing/roming and the occasional brick recovery
Sorry, but you can't flash ANY rom to the ATT Mega. No one has been able to unlock the bootloader.
But, I'm sure, if you search, you will find folks are using a t-mobile sim in the ATT version.

Yeah, was hoping a stock rom from another carrier wouldn't need an unlocked loader. Ah well,, am rooted and just waiting for the official 4.4 then.
Thanks for the input!
