An ideal to downgrade with root - HTC EVO 3D

I Have an ideal to downgrade,but it doesn't Work. who can get it.
1.490012 User Can use fastboot oem lock to relock the bootloader
when i flash RUU_Shooter_U_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.2 With PG86IMG.zip

Mainversion is older!

I find the version information is in mmcblk0p16
First,get root with Cwm
adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 of=/mnt/sdcard/mmcblk0p16.img
copy it out from sdcard
open it with Hex Editor

u can see ur version number Edit it to 1.00.708.3
save it to ur sdcard
adb shell
su
dd if=/mnt/sdcard/mmcblk0p16.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16
if we restore Success we can flash RUU_Shooter_U_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.2 With PG86IMG.zip to downgrade our hboot
it's possible with Theoretically but i don't where i have mistake

I'm on 1.49.0012 aswell and have done abit of research and checked the 1.49.007 HBOOT with a hex editor and found where it does the version check.
Only issue is I've read its not as simple as just changing the code as any small change could potentially leave you with a bricked device. Whilst these theory's are good and could potentially lead to a downgrade, they could also potentially lead to bricked devices so probably best we leave it to a developer.

u can use fastboot getvar all to check ur cid number.....or PG86DIAG.nbh to check the cid
