This is just a quick post with my comments on the invisible shield, in case it's useful to somebody looking for a screen protector...
Pros:
- Thick, feels very protective. No worries about putting it in a pocket and getting it scratched from keys or change
- Air bubbles really do work themselves out after a few days of use, even on a completely ham fisted install!
- Doesn't affect screen, you can still see it in daylight without rainbow or mirror effect.
Cons
- B****rd to install. Way fiddly because of all the little corner flaps and cut out bits.
- Slightly sticky to the touch means finger glide action isn't what it could be. Also scrolling with a stylus seems much more hit and miss than without the protector
- Not particularly cheap.
I'll be keeping mine - I'm mainly concerned about protection (which it should excel at) and with a little adaption you can get used to the decreased screen sensititvity. I find using the back of the fingernail to scroll actually works better than a finger.
As an aside, the best protector I had in terms of a balance between feel and protection was a generic cut-to-size one from Palm! Unfortunately it only covers the display part of the TP2 front, it's not big enough to cover the whole front.
Hope that helps someone!
Marc.
Hmm, i was thinking just installing the back part for scratch protection and keeping the normal screen protector that comes with it, i find that the protector that comes with it gives it that capacitive feel to it in that the screen doesnt push in as it used to without the protector ... because honestly i dont think the screen feel and senstivity is something i can compromise .. my 2 cents

I forget to inform them not to apply the Raceshield screen protector as it is too thick and it gives a funny and unresponsive feeling when you touch the screen.
I might change the screen protector to Martin Field instead.
does the invisibleshiled protect my device when it´s falling down to the ground?? or will the phone be damaged??

Invisible Shield protect your device from scratches only.
If it falls onto the ground, it'll damage your phone for sure.
Get a pouch or a case if you need that kinda protection.
i have just installed the invisible shield on my touch pro2, not particularly hard, because I have lots of experience installing these.
But if you are a noob, it will be very tricky.
Even if you install it properly, you might still get dust or dirt underneath, and you may not realize it until it has dried up, which is too late.
I got some big bubbles underneath, waiting for it to dry.
I would only recommend the invisible shield for the back part, as for the screen, it is better to stick with a regular screen protector.
Scrolling and figure gestures are not as smooth if you use the invisible shield,
i will post pics up later! cheers.
I put my IS on last night. My impressions:
1. The back fits very nicely.
2. The front doesn't fit quite as well, but you can get it on with enough patience.
3. There are a few small bubbles, I'm still waiting for them to go away.
4. Today the bubbles are still there, and the front has a rather sticky feel to it. I don't like the feel.
5. The back cover sticks very well to the gell pad I use in my car. (bonus!)
6. I don't like the ridges on the sides left by the front cover.
7. If the bubbles don't disappear completely, I will find a replacement for the front cover.
Doesn't the phone come with a proective cover on the back already and a screen protector for the screen? I would have thought that would be enough?

The 'cover' on the back is just part of the back's design.
And the screen protector that comes with the phone, well, not sure about everyone else, but mine peeled off within a few days of it going in and out of my pocket.

The "cover" on the back, which can sorta be seen when you look at the volume rocker doesn't come off, which is why I said it's just part of the design.
You can place any protection you want on it.
could anyone please post some pictures of the invisibleshield on tp2??

Also, not just what it looks like on the physical device, but some good pictures of what the SCREEN looks like with phone on? So many screen protectors distort the screen image (thinking to my mother's ipod touch screen protector that makes the pixels all rainbowy and aliased looking) and I have yet to see ONE picture of what the actual display looks like when the screen is on.

Sorry, I have no photos to offer. I can tell you that the screen does look a bit "rainbowy" when I have polaroid sunglasses on. (When driving) It's enough to be a minor annoyance, no more. Still very easy to see the screen, which is a big plus comin from a Tilt that could not be seen at all in my roadster.
Also, as a general follow-up to my earlier rant-
All the bubbles have worked out, and I've grown accustomed to the sticky face. So I will keep the IS on my TP2. I really likethe idea of the phone being well protected from all the abrasive items that find their way into my pockets.
The fingerprints on the screen are driving me nuts, and I'm thinking of trying the RainX solution floated on the forum.
BUT, I want to be sure I put it on the glass...and I'm not sure. I read around that the new ones come with 2 screen protectors. I never pulled any protectors off my screen, just took it out of the antistatic bag. I can't tell for sure if there are any on it...I seem to feel a ridge when I put a fingernail in the corner of the screen, but didn't know if the factory ones were more obvious than that.
I am a wooter...could it be that those didn't have the factory protectors? Or are they really this well installed that it's hard to know they're on?
The Gtablets haven't come with screen protectors out-of-box for awhile. Since at least late Nov 2010, I think.
Jim
Well that would explain it, thanks.
I got mine two weeks ago and it had a screen cover on it. I put a business card on the side between the screen and body and was able to lift it up

Hrm...tried that, but no go. There's a ridge there, but I guess it's part of the screen...
Maybe you got an oddball?
Get a micro fiber cloth ( in the cleaning supply section most food stores) a few quick swipes and no finger prints. If you get the smaller ones, they fit nicely in most cases.
I just bought a Xoom screen protector. Its not a 100% fit, but it protects the actual screen and has a notch cut out for the webcam in the perfect spot.
The screen protector just doesn't reach all the way to the edges of the tablet, so in landscape mode there is a 1/2" gap on the left and right sides and 1/4" gap on the top and bottom.
I'd post a pic, but i dont have enough posts yet, lol.
I now have the screen and stylus set up where I can draw decently on the Prime, but am having issues with palm detection. I have the app TouchScreenTune and have palm rejection on, but it still registers it sometimes.
I was wondering, is there a glove or partial glove that prevents palm detection? I know that any glove with non-conductive materials should do this normally, but I have been able to have access the screen even with these.
What do you all do normally to stop palm detection?

I know this isn't the most helpful answer but:
Don't touch the screen with my palm.
If you are using an app like TouchScreen Tune to crank the sensitivity of your screen to increase performance, maybe turn it down a bit. If I put a thin piece of cloth over the screen none of my touches register so I don't know if you are doing something different that makes the screen work through your glove.

What a novel idea!
I used to have a windows tablet with an active digitizer and didn't have to worry about anything showing up except the pen. It's just something I'll have to train myself to watch out for.
I just got TouchScreenTune last week and am still tweaking it, so that might take care of some of it. I have Sketch Book Mobile set up now so that diagonal lines are smooth and not stair-step shaped and it seems that the Prime will make a decent sketching tablet.
I had thought of this as well while testing out stylus and hand written notes. Just to test the theory I tried with thin 100% cotton t-shirt. Two layers of that material and touches were totally blocked. My thought was that if you had a cotton glove of thick enough material it would be perfect. Also you could either cut off the fingertip of the index finger of your writing hand or replace it with touchscreen friendly material so you could still do finger touches on screen with that hand. I know I've seen companies selling thin touchscreen friendly gloves before so you could cut a fingertip off one of those and sew into the cotton glove perhaps.
Buy some cheap gloves made of thin material, cut off the fingers.
You should not register touches with light pressure by the palms. Take a piece of paper and place it over your touchscreen and see if that responds at all. It barely does with my phone and I was stabbing at it with my fingers.
Buy capacitive gloves...

Er... this is the exact thing the OP does not want.
I've used winter gloves with the fingers cut out... I can put pictures up if anyone wants.
The problem is, it depends on your set sensitivity. If you have the touchscreen sensitivity app, you can adjust the sensitivity and the problem for me is that when I increase the sensitivity so that it works best with the Adonit Jot Pro... the screen actually can pick up my palm through the gloves.

The point is that for handwriting like you would with pen and paper palm rejection sucks on the ATP. By having a thin insulating glove you resolve this issue. And with the right glove material you could clean your screen while writing.

Which is what I was thinking. I'm going to throw something together this weekend and see how it works. Its not a life or death kind of thing. It would be nice though to draw on this thing like you can with paper without acting like the screen is lava.

Okay, well that's a result.
I turned TouchScreenTune off, grabbed a cheap knit glove and a screen cleaning cloth, quick stitched one to the other, and tested it. Through the cloth and glove, the screen is still picking up palm touches. Which must mean that the cloth I used is capacitive in some way.
Meh.
You should buy the stylus handpad. It do just what you want, and come with a stylus pen.
I think it's easier and more conformable to put on compare to glove, especially in the summer time.
You can find it in the link: anicelydone.com
Was bored and decided to try and pry open the glass on the front of my X10 (bad idea, I know) and eventually the top half of the glass screen came off, but the bottom was still attached to a small, bronze colored metal strip. The screen then cracked (small crack) in the bottom left corner.
See first picture attachment (1060)- This is what I initially did.
At this point I decided to put the screen back on and only the bottom half or so of the touch screen was working, nothing that I did on the top part responded.
Attempting to fix this, I decided to take the entire front glass off and try to clean the digitizer as some finger oil, etc. had gotten on. In the process, I believe that I may have broken the same, metal strip (the one that is always attached to the front glass in pictures, etc.).
See second picture attachment (1061)
Is there any way to fix this somehow? I've tried aligning the bronze strip with the part on the digitzer but the touch screen doesn't work at all now.
The display itself seems to be fine and from what I know about touch screens, the metal strip is what transfers that the transparent conductor on the glass itself, so I'll only have to replace the front glass/metal strip right?
.
heh..I did same thing with my X10...I think there is no solution for this, you can only put new touch screen.
Attached are the photos of the 6T solid suit and the impact screen protector that I just installed this morning. The solid suit feels amazing and the screen protector is film and feels like glass, but is definitely not glass, just so there is no confusion there. It does seem to go from left edge to right edge completely and where I placed it seems to cover the entire screen top to bottom. The slider on the case really works and the buttons are fantastic; smooth and clicky, not at all hard to press. I love both and I'm glad I got them ordered on Black Friday now because two protectors and a case was not inexpensive but they are both super high quality and way more affordable than the glass one from T-Mobile so I'm happy with my purchase. If you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them!
Also, don't mind the doggo, she likes being in pictures.
Can u tell me how the side buttons are? Are they still clicky? Or are they mushy like the stock case that comes with the phone....
And how's the slider button? Is it flimsy?

The buttons are great, I handed someone else my phone so two people could verify that they are very clicky and easy to push. The slider has some play in it up and down but it does work correctly when it hits the slider on the device. No issues with functionality at all this is a really great case.

I tried crashguard on op6 and hated it. I think I'll like the solid suit better. Thanks for the pics. Screen protector is intriguing also, seems very clear....
Thankfully I waited I can get the print backs now. Just waiting or one particular one to be available
Is the screen protector you have on This one? It says "Not Full Coverage" on it... I can't see clearly on your photos how close to the edge of the screen the screen protector comes to... I had the same impact screen protector on my old Samsung Galaxy S7, and it didn't even cover the full screen on the left and right, which is the reason I didn't order this screen protector for my 6T..
how slick is the screen protector compared to the pre-applied plastic one from OP?

Sorry about the late response I'm traveling abroad. I have the impact screen protector as the tempered glass one is for the back I think. Anyway, as far as not full coverage I think what they mean is that it covers the visible screen but not the edges past that. It doesn't extend fully top to bottom either but it does cover all the visible screen space as far as I can tell; no obvious cutoff of the screen though it does require precise placement to line it up properly.

Much slicker definitely. Feels like glass but definitely doesn't get rid of oil the way glass does. It feels good to the touch and it is very strong as I dropped on a stool and it bounced onto a hardwood floor right after that. There was no damage to the screen, but the protector did crack so I'll replace it when I get home. It did very well holding up to direct impact on a metal stool; lived up to the hype for me.
Can u take better pictures of the screen protector again?

The impact resistance shatters? I thought it was some type of plastic film.

I also purchased a SolidSuit (with the lens mount) for my 6T and while I like the build material, I don't like the little details. Let me explain:
1) The back of the case has this weird look and feel like it's made from three separate medium-fiber density board with a black sticker over it. I can actually feel the transitions between the three pieces and I don't like it. See the attached picture.
2) There is a noticeable gap at the top of the phone where the back meets the bumper edge. However, on the bottom, it's completely flush. My pockets are clean, but somehow dust and small particles find its way into that tiny gap. Ugh,
3) The special lens adapter is amazing since I am now able to mount the Moment 18mm WIDE V2 lens. However, since the bayonet mount sits so far away from the camera lens, it creates vignetting. FYI: The OP6T and the OP6 share the same lens adapter. I bought both. They are labeled differently, but they are identical in every way: height, mounting point, etc. If they did this correctly, the adapter for the OP6T should be SHORTER since it does NOT have the same camera height protrusion as the oneplus 6.

It didn't shatter really, it just cracked along a seam where the impact was. When I get back home in two days I'll try to get pictures of the crack and the screen protector.
