Hey guys!
I've noticed that my Gallery 3D isn't working anymore (it just hangs with a black screen and eventually I get a warning saying that it's not responding), and I don't remember doing anything that would break it.
I've tried deleting it from the /system/app folder and then re-flashing it but nothing. Also I tried installing it from the market and nothing. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
K.

I was playing around with rootexplorer and accidentaly deleted live wallpaper. I found threads here which helped me reinstall livewallpaper(I did it with rootexplorer method). I can now open livewallpapers installed from market but not the ones that were preinstalled on optimus. I especially wanted 'water and leaves' one.
Hope that someone can help me.
Flash this from recovery.
flashed from recovery......but still the problem remains the same
any one please?

So what is your problem exactly? The wallpapers are not offered in the menu, or what does "cannot open" mean?
they are in the menu....but when i try to open them, following message appears 'application Android Live wallpapers(process com.android.wallpaper) has unexpectedly stopped'.
anyone please?
wat rom u using?
standard ROM which came with Optimus. Froyo 2.2.1
So why don't you update to 2.2.2? Should reinstall everything incl. the walpapers just fine.
A have attached a picture.
Tried installing an older version, but I get server errors. Tried cleaning cache, breaking market links, nothing works! I have removed my email from the picture.
Please help!
You could try upgrading to the latest android market, or downgrade to another older version of the android market. Also have you tried clearing the data of the android market in setting>apps>manage apps>all>market.
If I have helped, please feel free to press the thanks button below
Are you on a custom ROM?
I had exactly the same problem using CheckROM (think I had 3 versions).
Tried all of danielsf's suggestions, nothing worked for me. All good now I've changed to krinyo's SlimROM, that uses Market 3.4.4.

I have the same problem but have found a temporary fix by using Titanium Backup (although you need to be rooted).
You need to 'destroy all market links' and then re-link them through the market doctor in titanium backup while on-line.
Restart the phone and they should show up a few hours later.
I say temporary fix as i find the same thing happens again as in your screen shot for no apparent reason!!!
Hope this helps and works for you

This one happened to me with KK5 firmware. I got my apps back after I upgraded to KL1.
Hi all,
Just moved to the S2 from a horrible Moto Razr experience, very glad and loving the community here
I'm on stock ICS and Chainfire Root and am unable to install APK's downloaded from outside the Market:
Launching the .apk file opens the permissions dialogue, but once I'm there clicking on the "Install" button just doesn't do anything. No errors, nothing.
Been looking everywhere for an answer, tried moving the apk out of the SD to internal storage, to different folder, ticked/unticked/ticket "unknown sources", unmounted/mounted again, redownloaded the APK and nothing.
Hi.. DId you try to reboot the phone? i was facing the same issue where any app i tried to install just didnt get installed. The install button was not greyed out however it acted as though it was.
I rebooted the phone and poof! the issue was gone! havent faced it again yet...
Try it and let me know!
Cheers!

Hi buddy and thanks. Tried that many times and still no go.
Might reflash ICS/Root, but would rather avoid having to do that if a simpler solution exists

May be you need to push in system/app and not install?
having same prob here... found d solution?
I had the same problem when i rooted my phone and didnt flash any custom ROM. I just installed MIUI, and poof, issue gone. You may want to flash a different ROM, or try just factory resetting your phone ?
turn off screen filter
if you're having screen filter, turn it off and see whether this helps
happened to me too, after turning it off everything worked fine

Have you tried clearing the cache and the settings for the Play Store? When I get Play Store errors, that usually works for me.
Yes i tried multiple times. Thanks anyway.

You might revert to gingerbread Rom first. Use Rom which has an updated market. Worked for me when I use dhd

I was getting an error when I first flashed ics but it was a purchasing process error, I came across a thread in the kindle fire section that instructed the same^, it did work but only temporary for me, after a couple times it stopped working all together. However I noticed a comment by mrdeli in there considering the possibility of playstore having issues syncing with multiple devices on the account (seen in another thread mentioning the same as well) So I checked my devices in the Play Store and it showed my hero as last used instead of my 3d so I went back to my phone in accounts sync, deleted my google acc and signed back in ... So far so good w/no errors. I do realize that's a different error message I had but perhaps it might work

Update, I stand corrected, I just flashed 4ext recovery and got the error again. The acc delete and sign in didn't work. I did end up having to go back into recovery to fix permissions and it worked again, I apologize for any added confusion

I just messed my phone up by wiping the whole os. But thanks to duir I downloaded the ruu and got going again and 're installed twrp and re rooted but when removing some of the usless apps I accidentally uninstalled the sound picker system app. I couldn't restore it for some reason now it's gone. Was wondering if anyone had or knows where I can get it. Everything else works fine and I tried downloading other ring pickers from the market but they don't seem to work.
Thanks in advance. Al

Hhmm I am almost certain that you'd have to reinstall the ROM but before you do just search on here and on google for the sound picker for your device.....

I tried but I couldn't find nothing I was gonna try to get it out of a system dump but if it doesn't work I'll just 're install with ruu

I'm assuming this is for stock and not a custom ROM. If so, here's the apk and odex file in a recovery flashable zip.
thanks duir
Suit your amazing!!! I did just use the RUU that you posted and reset my device again because we'll to be honest I gave up looking for apk. I tried to take it out of system dump and install it but root explorer wouldn't let me change permission s to install it but this zip file is good to have just in case even though I will be more careful from now on. But I can now reset my phone and root it within about 20 mins thanks to you and xda! I have however been looking for a digital rain boot animation for the zara cl if you know of any around you could point me in the right direction I'm sure once again thank you and everyone here at Xda
