Need help with flashtool / .71 firmware and miui - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been trying all day to flash the .71 firmware and different kernels for miui.
I really want miui to work on my x10. I've tried all the provided kernels for the miui Roms I've tried.
I can flash the uk generic firmware fine but when I try the kernels in flashtool it keeps saying error aborted and keeps doing that but if I try uk generic again it flashes fine.
I have x10i uk vodaphone
Thanks

Have you unlocked your boot loader?

It was previously unlocked. If I reflash original uk firmware does it relock again? Any app about to test if it locked or not?

SIM unlocked or bootloader unlocked? to check if bootloader is unlocked run this: (post#2)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254087
where it says: RUNNING S1_EROM FROM VER "r8Axxx" if the first letter is lowercase, you're unlocked. If you see "R8Axxx" the you will need to unlock.

[Q] please help

i unlocked my bootloader but now I dont has the signal did someone know how to repair this . sorry for my bad english
What baseband you are getting. Flash stock .71 baseband after you shift to 2.3 fw. I hope this works.
In the_lasers thread 'unlock bootloader, the proper method' there us a tool to relock your bootloader.
It seems you have tried to unlock your bootloader after using an incompatable Sim unlock method...there are warnings about that

You don't even have to have root to install a different stock ROM or a custom ROM.

yes now you have unlocked bootloader even if you flash any rom
you're good to go
You see, firmware and boot-loaders are two different things all together, once you've unlocked a boot-loader it's "unlocked" even if you install Stock Firmwares. There is a way to lock the boot-loader back again though, which requires a different process all together !!

[Q][U20i]Bootloader unlock

Hi guys !
I have Xperia mini pro (U20i)
Baseband : M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
Kernel version : 2.6.29
Build number : 2.1.1.C.0.0
Rooted+Recovery
I want to unlock Bootloader, but before i have simlock and I paid 20€ for unlock.I read that unlocking bootloader restore simlock and I dont want pay again.
So my question: Is there any chance to unlock bootloader without restore simlock ?
Please give me a little chance
Sorry for my bad english
Greetings from Slovakia
I AM NOT COMPLETELY SURE, but I think you'll need to pay again. That's what I think, I've never been on that situation before...
thanx for reply..one more question: when i flash stock rom and stock kernel with SEUS will be bootloader still unlocked or it will be locked ?
sorry for english
Flashing ONLY WITH SEUS relocks bootloader. (In fact, the bootloader was never unlocked, only patched, so flashing something official removes the patch.)

is there any other option i can try...plzz lemme know
thnxx in adv
If you are using stock. 54 tft file, it doesnt matter if your bootloader is locked, it will work on both. If you want to use Rom for unlocked, then you need to keep bootloader unlocked all the time you are using the Rom. If you flash unlocked and then relock it, you will get bootloop.

If it is Sony stock tft file, then yes, its working on both, locked and unlocked.
If its customized Rom based on stock, then read the OP.

Do you have a ST25a or ST25i? If you're installing an ST25a on a i you should exclude the base band in flashtool and the other way around. I don't know if this causes the boot loop, but it might be worth the try.
Yes... But a boot loop isn't necessarily. It's the best probability. Maybe... Just vibrate and nothing else.
