[Q]Eclipse not finding sdk levels? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I used the sdk manager to install most of the SDK's (2.2 ~4.0) When I start a new project in eclipse though, I only see 4.0 as an api level. Any ideas? I deleted and am reinstalling the earlier SDK's now.
thanks.

[Q] Deleting Android SDK from PC?

Hey whats up XDA? Ok, so before I had the Motorola Cliq and I rooted it and all that other stuff with Android SDK. This was about a year ago, and now I have the Samsung Vibrant. I want to do a clean install on the SDK and start it all over using the tutorials on this board. Is it as easy as deleting the root android SDK folder? and reinstalling the newest version?
The reason why I wanted to do this is because from last year, messing with the SDK seems like it was a lot more complicating. I remember renaming all of these folders and other stuff. But looking at the tutorials on these forums seems like its a lot easier. So I just want to make sure that I didnt mess a lot of stuff up from before, and just do a clean install on it.
Thanks for your help!

[Q] Android Execution environment for linux???

i read kubuntu 11.10 finally has integrated phone capabilities and is going to be heavily geared towards mobile devices http://apachelog.wordpress.com/2011/05/20/kubuntu-11-10-mobile-devices-sneak-peak/ .
and so i was wondering if anybody ever heard anything about the development of
Android execution environment for the android os that allows you tu run .apk in linux if so i think this would be full of win for kubuntu with it being the first linux distro with integrated phone capabilities and if the AEE was available that would just be the coolest phone ever

ShaperProbe

We all talk about speed tests and have theories about which one works best. I use ShaperProbe http://www.cc.gatech.edu/~partha/dif...aperprobe.html on the Mac and PC. They make a command line Linux version that is awesome but I tried with my newbish Linux skills and can't figure out how to compile it as a Android Linux tool. I realize it wouldn't be an APK but I'd share my results if I can get it working.
I've tried Android Terminal IDE and a virtual terminal and neither of them have make installed and I'm afraid I've reached my skill limit. I'm not asking anyone to do it for me but some assistance would be awesome.

Android SDK Emulator

Hello. Currently, I am looking for a solution for the most precise Android device emulation so no app inside couldn't tell that it is inside an emulator. For now, the most suitable option for me, in my opinion, is Android SDK Emulator, because they tell that it is qemu fork and there are many pre-built profiles available. What I don't understand is that can I create a virtual device for Android Emulator that will retain all information that I will download from, for example, google play? Can I create a virtual device with custom rom? If yes, how can I create virtual device that would be compatible with Lineage OS for Xiaomi Redmi 5 (it is an example, put any real device model here)?
Thank you vin advance for dedication!
You could use Android studio. I'll send you a Lineage OS Android Studio image (will build from source). Here are instructions if you want to do it yourself (remember to export to Android Studio)

Thank you so much for the link! The only thing I want you to clarify is: why should I compile image in a specific manner to run it inside emulator? I thought that Android Emulator is a precise copy of real device and able to boot regular images.
It isn't, it needs generic images to work
