I have a Samsung Galaxy W I8150 aka Samsung Ancora. There are now forums for this phone yet, and no custom roms, etc. I've managed to root it with zergRush. I am not a developer (yet) but I have quite few computer skills. I am IT beginer (working as system administrator), but I have some programming skills.
Now I would like to give something to the community at XDA forum. So I've decieded that I will try to port some of the costum recovery (CWM, AmonRa, or some other) on my phone. Well my first problem is that samung has this Odin instead of recovery like HTC, so I would need some instuructions (or links with instructions), that will help me started.
PLEASE if any of you could point me into the right direction, and explain me the bascis, how this recovery stuff work, I would really apreciate that!

Is there some quide about porting Clockworkmod Recovery to a new device? I bought a cheap 2.2 tablet (Pierre Gardini PC7251 or something lile that) and I'd like to mod it a bit... I tried to search something about porting cwm but all I found was many 404-threads and threads without any answers.
Someone help me please :3

I've tried the same (on another device) but it doesn't work, the process cannot be that simple.

I'm following XDA forum for some years now, under a different nickname, and this is my first post.
Unfortunately this is a Help Me!!! post
This is the situation:
My son as a A13 Q88E board android tablet, and a friend of him, made some experiences with the device, installing CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.2. in it.
Now it's stuck on a neverending bootloop recovery.
I Know that i could flash a new rom, but the problem is that this one in particular ins't available nowhere. It's a Avery E700, similar to Navcity NT-1710, and others, actually they are the exact same thing, only diferent brands.
The solution that is rolling over the internet it's to flash a Mapan rom (MX713), but chances are that it will not work 100%.
I would like to remove the CWM recovery so i can boot into system again.
Somehow i managed to extract a rom dump of the installed original rom, but that's it, i'm stuck there, i can't restore that backup, and right now i just can't afford to buy a new tablet for him.
Is there any way to replace that CWM-based recovery?

Best Thing is to Flash the tablet with a proper Firmware..which is very difficult to find.. recently i found a good firmware for my A13 tablet.. it worked very fine with my A13 MID tablet.. i cannot post links yet. try searching this.. tech360lanka(dot)blogspot(dot)com

Sorry, I don't know if my thread is in the right place.,
I have a soft-bricked phone, stuck in Odin mode, because I flashed a S7390 Rom on my S7390G device. I wanted to re-stock my phone, and no S7390G can be found on the internet,( and I found none with a working phone to extract and upload this rom.)
Here is my question: I read on the internet some articles saying that some people unbricked their soft-bricked phone with a Linux for phone distro, replacing their android OS. Since I don't have a compatible rom for my device, do you think I can install Linux on this phone? Where can I donwload it? Is there a simple process (I'm a beginner and my English is far from being perfect)

I'm new at xda. Recently I bought iBall slide cuddle a4 , but as it is latest one, there is no custom recovery or custom ROM for it. However I managed to root it.
I would really be grateful if some guys could port cwm and ROM for this device.

My Iball Slide is rooted and CWM installed.
But when I try to install a custom rom i messed up ending with boot loop.
I am unable to boot to recovery mode
Also battery is drained.
PC is not detecting the device(Phone) from ADB
I dont have stock rom back up also.
Can anyone help how to come out of this situation
First, this is not a ROM request forum. Second, it's generally considered rude to ask a developer to make a ROM. Developers for the most part do this as a hobby, in their free time with no compensation outside of any donations they may receive. They do not work for you. You are welcome to start reading and researching how to build your own Android ROM.
Please do not make further posts of this nature.

Hey fellow XDA members, i was wondering if anybody had anything about the Blu Studio 7.0 II reguarding either ClockworkMod (cwm), TeamWinRecoveryProject (TWRP), or even a different alternative custom recovery that is eligible for flashing custom roms or of that sort. if anybody has anything about this, or would like to help me out please comment? i can give you the kernel and whatnot.
P.S. i was also wondering if anybody had anything about a custom rom with marshmallow 6.0 for this device such as miui7? if you can help me with that i would really appriciate it also. (it doesnt have to be miui, it can be another marshmallow custom rom.)
