Recently my words with friends image is stuck in the background while other apps are opened. WwF is closed in the background so I'm at a lost.
I also noticed when I open another app like gmail, I can see the words with friends image in background when transitioning to gmail.
Huh?

Since yesterday I have not been able to see the Facebook pictures from my contacts when I open text messages from them yet their are all there in the People App. If I open my messages in the default application I can only see my Facebook photo and everything else is blank, the same happens in Handcent although that never shows my photo anyway (by design).
Can anyone think of what could have caused this?

Just to say that this issue is now resolved although the cause is still unknown. To fix it all I did was to unlink and re-link the facebook associations in the People app.
I just lost my native Mail app.
Anyone else experience this just disappeared out of the blue. Im afraid to remove icon from home screen because that is the only proof I have of it ever existing.

This seemed to have happen through task killer while refreshing and stopping all apps then it disappeared.
I have a very strange issue with my Facebook Messenger right now. I tried searching on her but found squat.
The problem is very specific. When I clear a notification about a direct message on Facebook (Regardless if its in the Facebook Messenger app or the regular Facebook app (I have different accounts on them as I have a business, has never been an issue before)), the Facebook Messenger app force closes. Every time.
So basically it goes like this.
I receive a direct message on Facebook or Facebook Messenger.
My phone gives me a notification.
I clear the notification.
Facebook Messenger Force Closes.
What's weirdest to me is that it crashes even though I have different accounts signed in. It should be noted I have tried being on the same account on both, and it still crashed. At first I thought it was my phone, but I just changed from a Motorola Razr XT910 to an LG G2 D802, and the issue persists.
What's the cause of this, and how do I solve it?
My cat walked over the phone and messed up facebook badly.
The messenger icon dissappeared, if I uninstall messenger I will never be notified of new messages.
The tab bar moved to the bottom of the app.
a new row with "What's your story" appeared, I want it gone.

I have tried disabling facebook and then installed the latest update again, no change.
what can I do other than a total reinstall of the phone?

This is the wrong forum for this, but if you go into your "apps" and find Facebook, click on "storage" and clear Data and cashe, it should reset it. You'll have to log in again, but all settings should now be default.
I'm sure the messenger icon is now in the app drawer, instead of on a home screen. Check there to see if you find it, if you do, then long press it and move it to where you want it on your homescreen.

The app fixed itself after fiddling around in the about section in the appsettings. I abolish random behaviour.
I'm having a serious problem since yesterday, whenever I open an email everything in it is white like the background, can't see written or images as if it's all blank, I'm using Gmail app, same thing is happening with ebay app, whenever I open a message it's all white as nothing is there, but is. I haven't noticed in any other app yet but those 2. I reset my phone to factory settings and nothing helped, don't know what could be causing it.
I'm using Samsung Note 10 plus, Android 9 software version, I attached a photo showing an email example. Thank you all for helping me out.
