The stock CM7 Email.apk on the touchpad does not take advantage of the large screen. I tried using the SGS2 email.apk which has a seperate reading pain for emails but it didnt work. Does anyone have an alternate email.apk which would give the reading pain option?
Thanks

Has anyone done this?
I am having serious problems with the aospish JK2 rom. Non of my entries are synced to google, took me a while to realise it. A gingerbread update that works would be nice.
This looks like a pretty old thread, but I hope someone can answer the question. I have issues with the Froyo and TWCalendar apps. Certain time zones (like Arizona with no DST) do not sync appointments correctly (using Exchange) when a repeating appointment lasts past the change of DST. I've tried some ICS and JB roms and they seem to have it fixed (CM9 and CM10 based ROMs). I was hoping that a later Gingerbread calendar apk wouild also have a fix.
The ROMs I've tried (CM10, CM9, CM7.2, ICS passion, Hellybean, PA (JB), slimbean, etc.) don't like my vibrant (bad GPS, won't read my external SD Card, etc. so I'm stuck with a Froyo ROM. It would be nice to have a good Calendar with Froyo. I've pushing the CM7.2 Calendar, but it doesn't work with Froyo.
Anyone know of a Gingerbread (Non Samsung - even the stock GSIII still has this problem in TWCalendar) Calendar app that runs on Froyo?
Hi,
Does Bionix 1.3.1 have a new email.apk or does it use one from 1.2.1? I could use other apps from market for exchange but i like the way stock email app looks but i have two problems with it, 1) notification is only vibration and no sound ( I have seen the solution for it in xda) and 2) My company sends out mails in form of jpegs and pngs and the stock never shows the picture.I have to do "show picture" everytime and i have not been able to find a solution for it.
Sorry could not ask this is development forum as i'm very new to the forum and do not have sufficient permissions.
thanks
I have the same issue. I fixed it by using GBMail.apk but it is lacking the search feature or the nice folder feature like the stock 2.2 has. I also used the Nero3 email.apk however its to dark for me to see in some parts of my job. I guess i am still on the hunt for a good working stock email app.
and Bionix 1.2.1. 1.3, and 1.3.1 all have the same issue.
I had tried porting over the Swype from a fresh Froyo phone ROM and copying the contents of all relevant folders to their proper Honeycomb counterparts on the Nook Color. Everything in setup and settings seemed to work out alright, but Swype force closes whenever a programtries to call up the actual keyboard. Is the Swype apk itself just not designed for Honeycomb or is there a trick that I'm missing?
Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted somewhere else. I have tried looking around and google since yesterday wih no results.
So after i install some custom ROM, i realized that i lost polaris office. So, is there any way i can get the polaris office back? I tried to copy the polaris office apk to my phone /system/app; with no result. I am pretty sure that Polaris Office is available by default on HTC Amaze; but, I didn't realize until recently that it got deleted when I install some custom ROM. Is there any custom ROM that have Polaris Office by default?
Got the same question for stock browser. Is there any way i can get aosp browser instead of htc browser? I tried copy the apk with no luck either.
*****Edit: Actually, after messing around with the stock browser (I copied the apk into /system/app and install the browser), I managed to get the browser to work... But, the browser somehow hides the notification bar by default, and I am pretty sure that AOSP browser is not suppose to do this. Does anyone know what's the problem?
Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Thank you

Is there any way to lie to the Gmail app so that it will use the two-pane Honeycomb-and-up (tablet) Gmail interface on a Froyo ROM? I love the stability and speed that Froyo ROMs give me on my gTab, but I hate the single pane, subject only list in Gmail. I have tried several HC, ICS, and JB ROMS because of my intense hate of the Gmail interface on Froyo, but I keep coming back to it.
Any hacked apps out there that provide this functionality?
