can someone else confirm that mms for 7.1 is not working for them? my apn is correct but i am still searching the entire forum for tips and alternate solutions.
wondering if this is affecting your hero as well?
for now i am also giving up on this. i've had people report to me that they do get my mms. my wife, who i have on cm 6.1 is not getting them though. i've also tried apn setting threads, as well as another technique with settings reached through the dialer. in the end i never solved this.
i am wondering if i upgrade her to cm7 will she somehow get them then. i guess i will have to eventually report back.

There are quite a few threads on this issue...ive yet to find a solution that works for me. I started expericing this about a month ago when i was running Fusion1.1 (JI6). I remember someone telling me to factory wipe and reflash ROM
Well i finally did that recently, i flashed Axura JL5 and made the switch to that. Its still happening.
Funny thing is, when i use HandcentSMS, i cannot send or recieve. But if i use GOsms, i can send, but i just cant recieve.
ive tried the standard TMobile APN settings, and all the kill-throttle APN settings, but they dont change anything.
SOLUTION:
I deleted the default Mms.apk upon flashing Acura JL5. I had no idea that it was required for MMS functionality. Learn something new everyday
So I found out that nobody is receiving my texts anymore on my vibrant. I upgraded to cm7 worked great then I did the nightly upgrade and it will still say its sent but people don't receive them. So I wiped everything started again upgraded to miui and I still have the same problem. Could there be something wrong with my network settings I messed with the testing setting a little (you know the *#*#4636#*#*) when i was tryin to fix the battery drain on cm7 which i never did
Make sure that your APNs are set correctly. There is one in there for data and wireless and also one for MMS. I find that when I have had problems like this in the past it has been due to those SMS/MMS settings being missed.
If i were you i'd just give TMO a call and ask what your APN is just to be sure that its not different or anything...
If i had this problem on more than one rom, i'd panic and do that right away.
I used to be a text-er like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
I sure hope, I'm not having the same problem.
I'm currently flashed with the latest nightly of CyanogenMod 10.2 which is 9/5. I'm not really sure when it started but a bit after I installed 10.1 I was unable to send text messages out. However was able to receive messages just fine. I've searched around quite a bit, and checked the same issues on various forums, none which have a good solution to what the problem is. Wondering if there is any insight as to what the probably cause to this would be? I never really had an issue with CM10.1 when I used it on my Samsung Captivate. Now that I switched over to the i777 I don't really see why I'm having this issue.

Could be a few things:
APN issue. Check that what you have under the 3 MMS fields match those of your carrier.
Are you using the stock messaging app or a 3rd party one? If it's the latter that's likely the culprit as well.
Or it could simply be a nightly problem, which is why it's generally best to use RC's. Nightlies rarely offer real upgrades, and often cause problems due to constant dirty flashing/carryovers from previous builds.
Sent from the i777
I'm using the stock messaging app. My APN is correct. I'll try the RC version.
EDIT: Nope the RC didn't change anything, I've looked around and I havn't been able to figure out anything. I'm able to send MMS messages, just not SMS. If I switch the chip back into my captivate it can send texts just fine.

Bump?
I asked this in the noob section but hoping some aria users may have input for me.
I've been frequenting the site for a while now and I can't find my answer anywhere. Well I can but not for my phone. I have an HTC Aria that I recently rooted and used this thread Since then I've had few problems but I noticed today that my phone no longer downloads MMS on it's own. I don't have much data so it's always off. Before the root my phone was stock 2.2 it would receive or send MMS and it would access the mobile network even though I had it off. Now it won't send with out me actually turning on Mobile and then download a ton of messages that I have no clue when they were sent. I found this thread but my phone doesn't seem to have this CSC folder and I don't know how to search for the file. Any help getting my in the right direction would be appreciated. I really don't want to resort to having my data on all the time just to check for MMS. I'd love to get it fixed but if it isn't possible if you can point me into the direction of a different rom that doesn't have this issue. It seems like it maybe an ICS issue.
I cannot post in the development thread due to not enough posts so here I am. I clean flashed the the ROM on my tmobile G900t and flashed the appropriate kernel as per the OP. It sets the correct APN for Straight Talk but cannot receive MMS at all. It sends just fine. Just doesn't receieve them. I've tried manually entering new APN and removing all others. Reboots, tried several different MMS app replacements with no luck so ever(cleared app caches etc). I'm not seeing anyone else having issues with MMS in the development thread either. Am I alone with this issue? Thanks for the good work on the ROM.
