I'm on my 3rd phone and I think its good... Knock on wood. If this phone has problems I might ***** and complain for a GS2 or even a Photon. Though I actually love the 3D and would hate to loose it. I don't use it much but when I do it's still shockingly cool, especially to other people.

Yeah I love this phone. My first one only lasted a week before the screen stopped festering touch right where the e key is so I traded it for a new one and now everything is all good.

Can I help ? .........We have two flawless E3D's since 6/25 here and loving every minute with them!!
My screen is crooked and I have light leakage and will be keeping it. I cant believe the things people conplain about. Its been a great phone!
On my release day e3d and all is well. My favorite thing about 3d is gaming! Can't be beat.

Lol.... Kinda the reason why I posted the thread I did. Just wanted to make sure the devs here know I appreciate their work. They are the true backbones in the android world. Google had the idea first, but the devs over there unfortunately have to design it for everybody, not just us who like to tinker. So that's where communities like this one are so valuable, and why Linux/android was the best idea for smart phones since the smart phone was invented.... Everybody is happy.

Let me put it this way.
Virtually every single issue I had with this phone was software related, and with the 2.3.4 update from HTC, almost all of them are gone.
This phone is great and from a software standpoint, it's almost there too.
HTC EVO 3D 9/10 and easily the best phone I've owned to date.
But then again, so was the EVO 4G and Touch Pro2.
HTC EVO 4G 8/10
HTC Touch Pro2 9.5/10 (while it scored higher, this was due to how awesome HTC Sense and Windows Mobile 6.1 were for me at the time and its worldphone capability. There was nothing I couldn't do with that phone.)

My evo3d has been perfect from day 1.
I never had to do a return, and any issues that I did have, like crummy 3g, etc., were solved after a little reading on my part...(not by taking the phone back six times). Do I have a dead pixel? I don't think so, but if you held a magnifying glass to my phone and told me that I did, I wouldn't be surprised...(same thing goes for my screen possibly being tilted by one pixel as well). I seriously do not get it when I see complaints like that. I don't measure the pixels on a new TV, nor do I measure the carpet trim under the doors when I buy a new car, to make sure the "shag ratio" is correct.
So yeah, I'm still loving every bit (pun intended) of my Evo3d.

I know sense 3.6 is coming out on the sensation and all i wanted to say is um... Somebody please port that i am a fan of 3.5 but 3.6 anyday! Beats audio hack would be cool too with the 3.6. Let me know what you guys think

the only visual difference i see is that htc has finally decided to ditch that horrendous dock in favor of a more practical customizable 4 app dock, very similar to the mt4g slide "mysense" dock
i guess the face unlock is kinda neat, wld never use it tho so its whateves, but itll b awhile before this comes to the amaze cuz nothing ports to the amaze easily, esp the sensation stuff

Wait HTC kept their main clock on the home screen....
Let me preface this post by saying that I just purchased my DNA on Saturday and am really liking it so far. So I do own the phone and am not trying to start any kind of war. I'm starting this thread with the sole intention of making sure I made the right decision and to get some discussion going about it.
I sold my GS3 to get the DNA and I had a Razr Maxx before the GS3. Other than those two, I have had all HTC phones. The Incredible, Thunderbolt, Rezound and now DNA. I loved the Incredible, absolutely hated the Thunderbolt and just thought the Rezound was so-so. The Rezound killed me how much lag it had for great specs at the time. And the dev community was fairly small and short lived.
Does anyone think that the DNA is going to follow the Rezound's footsteps? Especially now hearing rumors of the M7, is this thing going to have a small dev community and then just fade away?
Just wanted some opinions, thanks!

Fairly small and short lived? There is still active development in the Rezound. The only reason it didn't have a lot was mainly due to the flame wars. Everyone got chewed out over there. The DNA just dropped and it is going to take some time but everything will come together. Virus is working on a ROM, I think the Viper team is as well and we will have s-off soon. Just be patient
EDIT: Just checked the Rez forum. At least five ROMs from this month and I barely checked. You also have to keep in mind that this phone dropped at an awkward time. People are rushing around for the holidays and a lot of devs are either tied up in family affairs or they are students who are busting it to get through finals lol

My apologies, I guess I went a little overboard with my statement. It's probably because I didn't have my Rezound very long and I didn't keep up on the development page here on XDA. My bad.
That is good to hear that those devs are working on ROM's! I will definitely keep my eye out.

I'm just glad to see Verizon finally getting behind an HTC phone. In my local store, the DNA has a huge chunk of real estate on the wall.
The commercials are crazy... Looks like a trailer for a new Star Wars film. But whatever. I hope it puts HTC back on the map.

I've paid off my Amaze 4g and have been patiently waiting for the HTC One to be released. I'm not the biggest fan of Sense UI, but I've grown to like it okay. Recently, I rooted my Amaze and installed Cyanogenmod 10, which is better than the Amaze Sense Rom, but by no means perfect.
With the rumor mill swirling about the Nexus 5, I may hold off on the HTC One and wait for the Nexus 5.
What would you guys do? Go for the HTC One in April or hold off until October for the Nexus 5.
If you could wait for Nexus 5 go for it
but if you like sense go with the One

+1 as long as I can put sense on it so I atleast think its an htc lol. Its so hard for me to leave them
Note 3 is way too big for me. I'm not really into the phablet thing. I think I will play around with a One after it comes out and see if I like the updated Sense 5 overlay. If so, I'm going for it! If Cyanogenmod 10 was updated to a stable build, I might be more inclined to stick with the Amaze until October, but I'm not sure I can hold off that long!

Had an S3 but as of yesterday went back to my Amaze. I love the Amaze, especially with CM10, wish they worked out BT and some quirks but overall is awesome.
I too have been debating. HTC One or S4
Id steer clear of HTC. Look at the support the inferior galaxy nexus and s2 got and then look how htc treated a far superior amaze. Only reason anyone uses tgis phone is the amazing devs

Now that it looks like Google might be launching the Motorola X at the Google I/O in May I think it is worth waiting until then to see what they have up their sleeves, and possibly for a phone that has 5.0. I'm still going to check out the HTC One but will probably wait at least until the I/O. Anyone have an opinion about the mythical X phone?
I've gotten so used to plain, simple, elegant JB Holo, that Sense looks gaudy to me. I'd wait for N5 if your Amaze is still serviceable, I don't subscribe to the idea of "car's paid off, time to buy a new one" (and remain in debt too). I love the Nexus 4 so if "newest and fastest" is what you're after, you wouldn't go wrong with it, and no new contract to keep you locked in.

Consider the S4. Umm the HTC One is a perfect 2 year phone in terms of development. Least I predict. I'm sure it will retain it's popularity and developer interest well into 2015. So I'm sure it might get like android 5 and sense 6+ or whatever comes out.
As for me I'm considering the s4 simply because I often use a spare battery in my pocket when my primary dies. Also T-Mobile only offers the 32gb HTC one. I need at least 50 between the pictures game data and music.
By the way, isn't the Moto X supposed to be the next Nexus?

Pls post your experiences with the camera. How's it compared to the HTC ONE? I'm getting itchy to buy a new phone But don't know which to get...I love my ONE don't get me wrong, but you know any Android fanatic has that uncontrollable itch whenever a new phone comes out. I'm mainly interested in the camera's performance.
