Battery life ? Sucks .
Speed ? With CM7 you'll win Sonic the Hedgehog

Dude, ace is good in battery life among all other Android phones...
But its better to buy a phone with 512mb ram minimum, because when going with gameloft games compatibility, ace is not good.
I recommend motorola defy.

I saw a thread in the EVO section..Where there is a heated discussion..
Ultimately it came down to aggressive and MegaRAM
I get 0 lag..Believe me '0' !

however i still have the touchscreen lag on games like gangstar ..
I get 61fps neocore nosound..
And when i mean no lag, i do mean it..
Gaming on o1 has always been a past prob for me ..as im a big gaming freak..but will less cash on me too buy a new cell

It varies.
If you set too aggressive, it may decrease battery life because it's constantly killing apps, vice versa i think.
Im new to the galaxy ace forums and was wondering if the regulars could help me figure out which rom would best serve my purpose of battery life, speed and stability. It would really help me out. Thanks !

Use a stock rom if u want battery life (i ussually use KS2/KS9)
Use a custom rom with overclock if u are searching speed. More speed involves more battery drain.
Use a stock rom if u are searching stability, they are the only which hasn't bugs.
The three things together are impossible. Speed will drain ur battery. Custom rom involves bugs.
Try the latest stcok indiam firmware and several others, like 2.3.5 or 2.3.6
Plz dnt post **** thread
There is nothing like best rom
All roms have bugs believe it or NT even stock has it.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
he said he's new.... chill... use stock for best battery n less bugs. to use custom roms posted, first, check the bugs. dont repeat to post the bugs n asking for solution over and over again. read a lot. u need it..!!
I think no one can say what the BEST Rom is for you.
You have to try out for yourself.

My ace is cool and slick eith spacecaker's "for fun" Sony HD ROM. The font is sick and based on CM 7.2.
Installed the.z-Image kernel 1.5
It'd be perfect with a bigger battery
My Ace at this point is the biggest noob in the world it is on official stock DDQ8 with no mods no root nothing
Memory full
App update does not leave me
Wifi problem
No battery %.. Needed to install an app for it
Sd card reading takes ages trust me it does
Dirty Samsung launcher and it's pathetic status bar
Only good thing is battery
Edit: dafaq!! Opera keeps crashing when opened multiple tabs

The battery life is shocking, and the RAM is too small for everything I want to do.
Saying that, using Juicedefender, Set CPU, I have managed to do fine. battery is still disappointing. Internal memory was a problem until i did Link2SD now fine.

using doomkernel v6 and fera volt v14.2...unlocked bootloader
The best way to find out is to try them out, but since your asking. Doomkernel is one of the best ( my opinion) and roms there are so many, dixperia 7 , mm cm 7., championswimmer, chikencito Rom.

I found v10. whatever was the fastest rom.Versions between that and v.14 were really laggy.
You could try Alzbacs donut rom as its good battery life and hes cut out crap like facebook etc from the rom.
And what do you need 150 apps for as that will slow your phone down and eat up battery.

Flash a new kernel in cwm recovery, or cwm manager. Do not use ROM Manager... Sounds like what you used on the LG

I really feel scripts are not meant for ace I mean they are great but for higher range devices
It's just placebo effect + some battery drain + poor management of ram
No offense to anyone
So delete scripts if you have and see
