[Q] Missing Google+ notifications - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

So ever since I first rooted my phone I havent been receiving google+ notifications. When I was running stock, I got them just fine. Now I am running UnNamed and I dont get them. Ive put up with it for weeks now but Its really annoying and ive been searching everywhere for a fix. Anyone else have this problem?

rooting by itself has no bearing on any application data. i really have a desire to get this drilled into people's brains.
ROM and ROOT are 2 completely different things. everyone says, 'ever since i rooted.....' but actually they rooted THEN flashed a ROM....and they want to blame the act of rooting to be the cause of the problem..... i apologize, but its a pet peeve of mine that so many people have no effing clue what rooting actually is.
after you flashed the rom, did you go into your accounts section and verify that G+ is set to sync? by default it is off

Well im glad you got that rant out of your system. I never once thought that rooting it caused my notifications to stop. I was simply stating that they worked before, and now they dont.
Ok, when i first got the phone i didnt have sync on either and i still got the notifications. I just enabled it and had a friend send me a notification and still no luck.
Update: I have no idea why this was happening but i manually synced my google account again and now the notifications are working. this is really odd but im not complaining
if anyone else has this problem, try what i did
Update 2: so another thing it could be. i had the gmail app frozen with TB because i was tired of getting duplicate email notifications and now that i did the re sync, it unfroze the app. could be something there

like i said, its a pet peeve. when someone starts off by saying, it was working before i rooted....it indicates that they think the root somehow caused <insert random problem here>, or are just trying to somehow link the 2 items....this is because so many people have no idea what root actually consists of and what it does. they just think its the cool thing to do....
if you freeze gmail, im pretty sure a lot of stuff would stop working properly that ties directly to your gmail account.

Trouble Receiving Twitter Notification after Switch to Verizon

Hey guys,
Considering theres no Q&A I figured i'd ask you guys here. I just Switched from Srpint to Verizon yesterday and carried over my Phone number. Now for the longest time whenever A/C, XDA, Droid-Life, and so on posts an article, and when they Tweet about it, I always get a Text message Notification. Now Im not getting any text from these feeds at all. Ive checked all my Twitter settings and so o and cant seem to figurte this out. Now with sprint its seemed al of a sudden I had a Google Voice account which I never even knew I had, and im not sure if thats interfering with anything. Anyone know how I can fix this so I can get my Text Notifications from Twitter? I'd really appreciate it.
**Also im not sure if this is due to me not Canceling my Sprint account yet. I dont think thats the issue but i'd figure i'd add that in**
THanks guys

[Q] Problems with notification light and sending email

I haven't had this phone but a week and rooted it right after I got it so I don't know if this is an issue with the phone, the software, or the root process. In any case, the green notification light often doesn't light up on new emails or messages but does sometimes so it's not flat out broke. Also, sending email from gmail often results in the message in a permanent "sending" state. I did some searching and followed some suggestions such as clearing the data and cache for gmail but it's still doing it. Some send, many don't.
Has anyone seen these issues and know a fix? Thanks.
EDIT: Btw, I've only rooted and removed some bloatware. Nothing else is changed.

You probably removed something you shouldn't have. A lot of programs and functions are interdependent.

Possibly. But in that case I would expect an all or nothing response. Since both the notification and the email sending work at times I'm thinking it's a glitch or interference with something on the phone.

[Q] Air Push, not coming through where you want

OK, this is my third android phone, and this is the first time ive had this happen. I use Foursquare and Word Feud just for two apps. i am not getting notifications to my rooted phone. Is this just because ICS is new, or is there something else im gonna need to do. It just seams silly to me that it worked on my HTC EVO 3D, and not on my HTC EVO LTE.
Any ideas?
Hmm not sure what's going on - is it just those two apps, or do all apps (like messaging, facebook, email/gmail) not give you notifications?
Gmail, comes through at times. i would say all..

Whatsapp is driving me insane..

Hey guys i downloaded and installed the lates XXELL4 BTU stock ever since i installed this i can't verify my whatsapp it fails. Then it says call me to verify i click it it says failed.
I've tried changing roms, changing modems still no luck it is driving me nuts i need my whatsapp for group chats i have on there. And i know my you guys will say uninstall and re install but i tried new whatsapp old whatsapp. I just want to get back on whatsapp.
Does anyone else have a similar problem Please help me i have not been able to get on whatsapp since yesterday..
This happened the first time I transferred my sim to my new phone. For a few days, Whatsapp just wouldn't verify. Then it got automatically sorted out. I have no idea how. Maybe you could just wait it out.

Oh man so there is nothing i can do. I guess i will have to wait it out.. Thanks for your help..
My net must of gone retarded. and double posted sorry..
You might want to check out Whatsapp's FAQ pages. I'm sure they'll have something related to this error. Many other people have experienced this. Maybe it's just one of their server errors.

Yeah it didn't help i was on the whatsapp website for hours. Looking at FAQ's. Related Problems etc. I checked my connection's i can make calls and receive calls. Also can send and receive text messages. I checked to see if my roaming was off. I manually selected Vodafone UK. Requested Vodafone settings from Vodafone. I tried to use my mobile internet then my wifi.
I guess i will have to wait it out. It just sucks that all my mates are complaining that i have not been on all day etc.. And my gf and i are having to resort to using ****y kik messenger lol.. I hate texting i just don't know why.. But do like using messengers just feels better and you can backup your convo's easily..
Yeah.. I can understand. It sucks when WhatsApp gives trouble.
You can contact them and ask for a direct solution if it still doesn't work.

android.process.acore has stopped

I have a Verizon LG G3 running stock/rooted 4.4.2.
Today, for the 2nd time, I started receiving the unfortunately, the android.process.acore has stopped error It pretty much just constantly pops up, non stop.
Last time a few months back, I fixed it with a factory reset (annoying).
Today, it started again. I tried clearing contacts and contacts storage and google service framework, but none of that helped.
Wound up doing another factory reset.
This time, it was working fine until I added an exchange account to sync calendar and email and then I started getting the error again. I don't think that was the trigger though because of what else I figured out.
It appears as if I uninstall facebook, the error goes away. I tried uninstalling facebook, clearing contacts and contacts storage and then reinstalling, but it starts again once it gets reinstalled.
I've done this back and forth enough times now that it's clearly being caused by the facebook install. It starts as soon as I log into facebook after I install it.
I guess at least it's nice to know I can uninstall facebook and I'm good, but I want to use the facebook app still.
So now what?

throw fb in the trash, its the devil lol
there are a bunch of possibilities, i would start by looking for any apps you may have deleted or disabled. fb may be trying to use one and cant, thus the crash.
i found that suggestion, and more, here. wassnt specific to fb, but some of the fixes seem universal.

Actually from the link you posted a couple of people also said they uninstalled facebook and it fixed it.
I haven't changed the apps that I've got disabled in a very long time. I doubt facebook is looking for something else. I'm really stumped here. I install fb and the phone starts going crazy with these errors, uninstall and all is good.
There's got to be way to fix this.

you could re-flash stock, it usually fixes dumb issues that shouldn't be happening.

did you add any new contacts around when it started? several articles point to a bad contact.
unfortunately the process android.acore has stopped
hi,
my lg g3 s gorilla glass and the digitizer got damaged, but there is no impact on the display, its clear.
this error starts poping up.
i changed the whole display set , its a duplicate one, not the original lg s.
still the error pops up.
i think the error arises because the software is detecting it as a duplicate.
but at the same time, its getting triggered by fb messenger and whatsapp.
i think its time to go for a cutom OS.
