Hi
When I try to set up exchange email on my Samsung galaxy SII, after entering all the required information the phone simply freezes for some time and then Reboots
After it reboots it formats all the data and gets into factory default mode, where in I have lost all my installed Apps and need to enter everything from scratch.
During reboot I also see that it says no permission on /system/csc/ATT.
This phone is not rooted and I just got this phone couple of weeks back from ATT
Phone Details:
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband: I777UCKH7
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.UCKH7
Appreciate any help on this
Thanks

It seems like a lot of the time, my phone will go to sleep and never come back. Last night I charged it, and it woke up with 10% battery remaining after going into one of these states. This has been very frequent and I just got it. I have to pull the battery for a second to get the phone to reboot. The guy at the Bell store told me to update the firmware but Kies will provide no updates (says it's already the latest version). A friend tells me my firmware version is very old :\
Anyone have a solution to this problem? Is this a known issue with the firmware? Could it be an app freezing the phone?
I've been thinking of doing the registry hack to get a later version of the firmware but I'm not 100% convinced I should.

Backup data and factory reset or reload updated firmware if possible .

There's a strange problem with my phone. I can usually figure these things out (used to be an IT tech) but this one has me stumped!
Tried searching and couldn't find anything related. Here are my phone details"
Model: GT-I9100
Android v: 2.3.6
Baseband: I9100XXKI4
Kernel: [email protected] #2
Build: GINGERBREAD.XWKK2
Basically, if you change anything on the phone (send/recieve messages, install/uninstall programs, take photos, write notes, move icons etc), as soon as I restart the phone everything reverts back to the state it was in on 9th November as if none of the changes happened.
Tried updating the firmware through kies, performing a factory reset, and attempting to get root. None of which work because as soon as the phone restarts it reverts back.
Everything through odin seems fine (see screenshot). i.imgur.com/M0LKW.jpg
Plugging it into my PC and deleting things through windows doesn't work either.
Basically, as soon as the phone is reset (for whatever reason), it acts as if any changes never happened.
Nothing particularly special happened on the 9th. I used it as normal - mostly internet and messaging. Haven't installed any new apps in months. Don't know why it's stuck on that date
The phone works fine, but if i use my phone heavily, eventually everything starts crashing and i'm forced to reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Hi everbody. I wrote previously as well. I have a year old GT I9100G and it keeps restarting on it's own. I got to the service center and those guys re installed ICS on my phone but the problem didn't get fixed. I even bought a new battery but that didn't solve the problems as well. The sound keeps looping and breaking be it ringtone or in music player. Can you please suggest what can be the possible cause. If i re instal the ICS it works just for a day and then this problem comes up again.
Baseband Version: I9100GDDLP7

I have tried hard reset many times on fresh as well as old install. I have also cleared cache partition. Please help. This is the only place in the whole world where my phone has the chances to get fixed.
Hey guys...
First time poster on here and after some BIG help... any will be useful and i thank you in advance for taking the time...
Ok without writing a novel i will give as much information as i can without beating around the bush. Then followed by details on the phone.
Issue:
So no matter what kernel or ROM & apps (or no apps) i put on this phone it is always unstable and reboots itself. Some ROMS doesn't even load.
The phone has been rooted correctly 'used the samsung root tool kit' with the correct one for the phone Australia i9305 LTE version.
I used to have rXTREME 7 which was OK - it rebooted maybe 3-5 times a day if i was frequently using it, but annoying.
I tried the rXTREME12.1 installed fine, the phone was restored to default, Xache & Davik Cache where all cleared and installed rom on fresh system however it would just hang on the Samsung logo... and do nothing.. i have also tried the CyanogenMod and Paranoidandroid 3.97 halo ROM's and they wouldn't load....
Currently i have Ripper Rom and it works however whenever i try and do ANYTHING it reboots itself... i will be lucky to get a good 2mins of it working correclty without it having to reboot... So far this morning it has rebooted about 31 times (no joke i have been counting) just trying to access my email... Not matter what i do, replaying to MSG's trying to answer the phone (swipe just doesn't work) or it will just reboot itself...
In saying this i have also tried to unroot the phone and installed the standard OPTUS rom and it was also so unstable it would do the same thing, however would wipe any information i had put on the phone... apps, data, contacts...
Details on the Phone:
Australian LTE GT-i9305

Again please help!!! i am at at a end and want to smash the phone to peices.........
Thanks in Advance for any help or advice!
Best report your post and ask for it to be moved into the i9305 q&a forum, you're more likely to get a reply there.
As said wrong forum this is I9300 .
That begs the question are you flashing the wrong firmware .
