FAQ from TWRP team is here:
Q: Does Rom Manager work with this
A: No
Q: Will you be providing support for Rom Manager
A: Maybe, when I have time, or if Team Win release it before me
Q: Does this mean we cannot easily install ROMs
A:Yes, but the code for that may be added at later date, this is Work In Porgress
Q: Will reboot to Recovery work as normal
A:Yes
Q: I have seen a touch screen version, I thought this one was it
A:This is version 1.x.x, the 2.x.x has the touch screen capabilities, which is in Alpha stages
Q: Does Off-mode charging still work
A: Yes, same as CWM. it will charge when off.

Thanks man for testing, and ya tonight just felt like recovery night for me
Do you guys like twrp ?
I do its more advance than CWM but it is more functional
anyone else uses this?
I was considering it since I used Amon-RA's recovery for my Hero and preferred it to CMW. How would you compare it to your CWM? And does it also need signed zips like Amon-RA's recoveries (is that was zip verification is for or is that for backups)?

its the best one out i think i use it all the time
it lets you choose you can but its not required i highly recomend it
Thanks Xboarder for your hard work man
I have questions please
1. Will this flashed over CWR? Means CWR will be gone in my phone right?
2. I still kept CWR's backups for Stock Rom - unrooted and rooted - and QuikSense on my phone - that's 3 backups. If I flash this, can I use it to restore backups made by CRW?
3. In case they are not compatible does it mean that I will have to restore the stock backup of my phone then flashing this over and using it to do a new TWRP backup for the stock rom?
Thanks in advance

no problem man btw twrp has compression turns backups that are like 500 to like 300mb
Here's my dilemma: QuikSense 1.5.1 is so stable for me and is it my daily driver
Now with WTRP capability to compressed almost half, that's kinda tempting but if I flash 3.5 with TWRP and if I wanna go back to QuikSense I'll have to reflash CWR in order to restore QuikSense. Gosh ...
Conclusion:

Had to use this to flash recovery on the fiance's phone. The zip would not flash properly when the bootloader started. Doing the commands manually didn't work, it would sit there saying the flashing was in process for a few minutes without ever finishing.

So Scott, if we can just use your tool to install any ROM, what do we need the Recovery tool for? In case we want to do it manually, or wipe the cache/Dalvic, run a nandroid backup, etc?

So from what I can see, the advantage of this ROM is that it deletes rather than disables the bloat. But the downside is that it crashes when you use the Market?
I am now unlocked and rooted, so I will continue to use the VZW ROM, but with all bloat and Sense removed until such time as an ICS based ROM comes out.

I think we are getting confused here. I think you are confusing CleanTOOL with CleanFLASH. Can you confirm?
So after I unlock my phone with HTCDev, I use this tool to flash a recovery or something?

Return to stock, no PC required!
Safe to return to store, no root left over, 0 flash counter.
Do not do this with low battery!
This is for those that have a broken USB port.
Plug it in if your charger works, or borrow/buy a battery with full charge.
1. Download Mobile Odin Lite (Download) or Pro (Market)
If using Lite then install this APK next - (i777 Base) - (i9100 Base)
2. Download and copy to device - I777UCKH7.tar - 502mb!
Check MD5: 6da05426d720ab7a1d068b81a27a6d86
3. Open Mobile Odin > select Open File... > I777UCKH7.tar
4. Scroll down to FLASH FIRMWARE
It will now reboot, wait a few minutes...

Stock AT&T Gingerbread, we do not have official ICS yet.
Mobile-Odin basically uses all the same files but its already in the .tar so no need to split them up.

Yes you can use KIES for updating, if there ever is one in the phone's lifetime.
This is for the AT&T Galaxy S2 - i777, just making sure you have the same one.
Flashing this on International gs2 i9100 can probably do some horrible things to your phone.

When you open and run mobile Odin it says it never flashes boot loaders. And looking at the screenshots you will not see anything about boot loaders in it either. I have used mobile Odin in the past when flashing i9100 rooms and didn't want the boot loaders. So NO it won't flash boot loaders ever.

Hi guys,
just got my SIII yesterday, I love it, but I am a flashoholic and I admit it.
And since all of us have to decide for ourselves how much sin we can live with, I decided to go and flash a custom ROM on it very soon.
I just wanted to know: Is it possible to have a non-Samsung based ROM (read: Android 4.2 ROM) with the motion features incorporated and if so, do they exist?
Because I had a look into the Android Development section, but there are way to many ROMs for me to have a look at all of them
I know it might sound like a stupid question, but I kind of like the motions lol
Thanks in advance!
No, Samsung features are present only in Sammy-based ROMs, because the require the framework

Thought so... Too bad though
Aren't there roms like the de-sensed HTC roms, which offer the HTC sense features but have a complete stock feel (and I am not referring to just another launcher or so, because I already installed nova
Still even though I am a flashoholic I also wonder, is it really worth it, because it seems like my SIII flies at the moment

What he said!
Edit: I have tried a couple of roms. My ORD has now greatly reduced from my HTC Desire days, but I still crave the occasional flash. But so far I can't justify moving away form stock based roms. The missing features outweigh the need for a bit more speed. Even if I do prefer sleek and simple but pretty over bloated and "in your face about it".
If the custom ROM based on the STOCK ROM, does the motion still intact?
Yes.
Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2077019 . It is a mix of stock, AOSP, PA and Jkay's features.

I moved my sensitive data to SD card and then removed it from the device. TB doesn't really work without ROOT access anyway. After that I rooted my phone with the toolkit and installed a recovery. I did try doing a Nandroid in recovery just in case I wanted to go back to stock or whatever, but for some reason, Nandroid has yet to work for me on the SIII. So I took a deep breath and flashed a custom ROM all the same. Never looked back since.

I thought you can still root without any data loss.
Hmm. If that isn't the case then I'd better follow up on your plan
No, no, no... Sorry you misunderstood. You CAN root without loosing data. I rooted with no data loss. But I copied the data over just in case. Root away. Shouldn't have any issue.

Thanks for uploading this. I have a question for you though. I installed this and everything went well but my flashlight app is gone, and I can't get my camera to open. Can you tell me what I did wrong? I appreciate any help. Thanks.
Thanks for all your efforts
Thanks once again for your efforts. AS suggested by you before, I am on 1.29 with bullet proof kernel.
Is this 1.27 worth effort going back for better audio during calls? I am getting wobbling voice during on call with speaker.
And also when i clicked stock kernel to download it says Nocturnal M7 stock. so is it not stock HTC/Tmobile kernel?
Thanks in advance

Just ram a check and I'll have these issues fixed. My retarded as uploaded the wrong rom, it was an incomplete rom, that I labeled the same as this. I have the version with all missing apps and all just let get moving and computer fired up and I'm on it. Sorry guys, been dealing with site issues and all and was trying to get this out.

No problem. I'm glad I double checked too, because once again the bt was broken. Not sure you the stock roms like to have more broken stuff then a custom rom. Lol

Yeah, but I don't understand why it's doing it. It did the same to Xsmagical on the first stock tmo too, but no worries I'll have it fixed Today!

Should I just flash this instead of that TWRP backup you gave me in order to get my phone back to stock? Or will I be left with the same issues?
Hi,
Wondering if we need a corresponding firmware.zip for 1.27.531.x if we want to truly get back to stock after the 2.24.x update comes out for us on T-mobile?
I was thinking once the 2.24.x update hits us we're going to get a firmware update that could prevent us from getting back to stock 1.27.531.x for warranty purposes. Or if you just don't like 4.2.2 and you like 4.1.2 better.
I know we can flash the stock nandroid backup, but I'm thinking that stock nandroid based on 1.27.531.x won't work on a 2.24 firmware and updated hboot?
Or am I completely off and that nandroid would restore an updated firmware and hboot back to to 1.27.531.x?
(Man, really showing my noobish behavior today!)

If u jumped the gun and upgraded Ur firmware and used the 4.2.2 then u'll need to run an ruu or flash the correct fw.

Thanks.
Since we don't have an RUU from T-Mobile, do you have or recommend a 4.1.2 firmware for T-mobile users to go back to that would work with your stock 1.27.531.x roms?

About the toolkit:
This is a very good looking toolkit with almost everything you would want to do with your shiny new Nexus 5! This should work on all models (conditions may vary ).
This toolkit offers a 'one-click' method of:
1.Unlock the bootloader
2.Basic ADB commands to get you buggin!
3.Basic Fastboot commands to get you booting!
4.Installing Drivers!
5.ROM Flashing
The list could go on for about 2-3 more points but I'm lazy! (forgetful)
The updater will tell you when there is a new update and will take you to this post to find out about it.
Please enjoy, and if you like feel free to donate but don't feel that you need to this is FREE!!, I'll send you my gratitudes!!

Okey so in the new update (1.1) I've made it so i can specify what the download link is for both cwm and twrp.
All you guys need to do is let me know when there is a newer version!

Not just your tool that ends in a bootloop, the n5 bootloader actually has some faults, I was thinking of making a patched bootloader for the device, but due to noone having a bricked device i cannot

So do I have to do something to fix the bootloop issue? Also why is that so? You need to have a bricked phone before you could make a patched bootloader.

wipe data factory reset(data, dalvik and cache)
that fixes the bootloop!
and modifying the bootloader is quite risky, if you do something wrong it could fail to write, fastboot and adb can fail to operate, cauld cause major issues that are un repairable without riffbox etc.. and even sometimes that doesnt work...
looks good, but bugs as above..
so pls solve them soon

Fixed Bootloop Issue! == Version 1.2 Released!
Version 1.2 has been released!
This is to address the bootloop issue that some users have been getting. I hope this works!
Do we need 20 toolkits doing the same stuff? People need to learn what they are doing. With the rise of kits there is a rise in bricked phones for stupid reasons. People flashing cm kernels on non cm roms because they have no idea.
One kit is enough stop reinventing the wheel. Put your skills to something more useful.

I had a feeling this would be bad. I get your point, this was posted ages ago. Don't worry, the nexus isn't my main place anymore.
Thanks for your input.

That's funny. So you revived a 4 month old Dead Thread for what?? So we could hear your useless stupid rants about a contribution that someone wanted to make, an area which you have failed to achieve. If people don't read and know what they are doing then that is their fault, not someone who wanted to learn and or grow his skills by creating a toolkit. Put your skills to something useful and release something of your own, don't go being critical trying to revive old threads for no reason; and complaining about toolkits all over various Nexus 5 threads. Grow Up!
