It means that when you flash a rom ideally the battery stats are also wiped and the phone needs to "relearn" battery usage stats, plus phones are notoriously bad at guessing battery percentage above 90%. If you just flashed a rom give it a week or so and it should get better.

In my experience.... sometimes. I know that's vague but I have personally seen my G2 act strangely after restoring a backup and conversely seen it go straight back to regular battery usage. Flashing roms and low level system partitions cause our devices to do some strange things, it is completely expected.

Hey I doubt my battery has become super powerful over a day because yesterday it was stuck at 3% and not charging (cm10.1) then flashed venom 1.0.3 sense Rom which started working but CWM let me flash so I'm guessing the battery % shown wasn't real here is a screenshot of battery history
Ps. I swear when I woke up in the middle of the night my battery was at 84%...and the only things I've done different over the past few days is open the housing out of curiosity
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
LoL, now you will never run out of power......
Try another battery percentage mod maybe.
so your blaming CM10.1 right? funny as i cannot reproduce this, and no one else can, so either you have a faulty battery or you done something stupid with your device

Not blaming CM10.1 just saying that i was on CM10.1 when it was stuck at 3% and now im on venom and it's stuck at 100%, no need to get defensive, was stating all the facts to help people give me ideas

I couldn't find how to wipe the battery stats as it wasn't in the cwm recovery or the twrp but i was reading and they say that the stats usually get wiped when you connect the charger or when you flash a rom (i think)
i installed the stock ruu and its more or less the same still, when i put the phone into recovery and restart again it updates the battery indicator

Try to flash with odin a stock rom. Does the usb port work? I'm sure that it's a soft problem

No one can just know what's wrong with your device. Post all battery screenshots as well as BBS screens (including wakelocks). Then, people could tell you the root of your problem.

my battery is empty and when i hook it on to the pc with the usb cable it gets the charging battery screen but when i turn it on in download mode it says low batt cant download.. so odin doesn't see my phone...
i have cleaned the usb port and plugged in the charger nothing happend for about 20 minutes and then the charging screen appeared but it doesn't "fill up" (charge)

Did you wipe data while flashing my ROM? It might be that you had installed something that took lots of battery, and the data wipe fixed it.
Try to flash xPirt ROM again.

i wipe each time i install diffident rom,
It's probably the mediaserver issue... Happened to me a couple of times... Leave your phone on charger while running for a few hours...
Flowed from my HTC branded muffin...
I suggest you to proceed on this way
1. install on your phone an app like batery calibration
2.plug the phone on AC power until the full charge
3.click on button (on the app ) calibrate
4. unplug the phone
this app remove from system the batery statement files and create a new one with the correct autonomy of batery.
i recommend to use this app after eatch new rom installation or if you had plug the phone to Ac power with a batery higher than 14%
Churchull ragnjus
i think it works better just the % go down more smoothly ...
3 days past with myONEdx 4
and still battery dies very fast each time.

Most likely battery overheat issue.
When the battery doesn't charge, you get to see the LED blinking, which is sort of a warning to the user.

Hi guys, sorry for my english but I'm using google translator xD
I'm a happy owner of Htc One x+ but I noticed a strange behavior of the battery, as soon as it arrives at the 13/14% drops to 0% in less than a minute. You too have noticed this strange behavior? Can be solved in any way?

Could be a calibration issue, charge till the led turns green then wait another 30mins, boot into recovery with the plug still charging the phone, wip cache/.dalvik, reboot, do not remove the cable until the phone has fully booted up.

I read long ago that the calibration apps are unnecessary because the system recreates the file batterystats.bin each time the phone is 100% charged
Yeah they basically are unnecessary, android has its own battery check built in.
