Is there any way to turn off the CRT animation on the Eclipse 1.2 ROM? In previous ROMs I was able to do this by simply turning off window animations. It seems like that is no longer the case.
I have gone through and set all these settings as follows:
Settings>Display>Animation=No Animations
Settings>Eclipse Parts>Animations and Haptic Feedback>Window Animations=Off
Settings>Eclipse Parts>Animations and Haptic Feedback>Transition Animations=Off
And I still get the CRT animation when turning the screen on and off.
Thanks.
You can decompile framework-res.apk from eclipse rom and turn it off in there, if you are comfortable doing that.

I recently flashed Cognition 1.06 and am loving it. However, it only has the screen off CRT animation. Any idea how to get screen ON animation? I hate the sliding glass lock screen

there isnt a screen on animation im aware of, the CRT animation is Screen off anim only. Sliding glass lock screen is part of the Samsung Gingerbread ROM and cant be removed, you can use widgetlocker etc to Bypass and make a customisable one though
I was wondering if there's any way to get a Nexus S-style CRT screen lock animation to go along with GSB. I know that you can do it on the Droid X, because that's all that I could find by searching.
Anyone came across on CM7 unlock screen fade out animation?
I was using CM7 passion (nexus one) nightly #237 and I've learned that everytime I unlock my phone using CM7 lockscreen, it auto fades out into the homescreen. This is kinda cool!
But yesterday I was flashing to the latest update #253. I could not get back the little fade out animation after you unlock the CM7 lockscreen.
So, anyone knows any trick to enable that?
Regards,
Joshua
bump ? i also would love to have the fade animation back
I had CynageonMod 10 recently and I liked it (notice how I didn't say love), I love how it turned off the screen like a tv tube. And how you slide a page normally ( not some card stack way) and across the wallpaper, also how you turned on the brightness was dark and lit up. I restored my i9300 to the stock Jelly Beam Rom, and I love the better speed and feature. I honestly miss these animations, but it doesn't beat Smart Stay or the Ripple Lockscreen.

I'm also interested about the CRT effect.
Since the update the transition animation turns back on after using the camera. I hate having animations on. Anyone know how I can set up a Tasker profile to automatically turn the animation back off?
