For a week or so now, whenever I go to the Android Market, and then go to My Apps to check for updates, there is not a single app listed there. There is no error message given. I am on the right account (I have only one Gmail account on the phone). Also, I tried clearing the cache and clearing the data from the Market in Settings > Manage Applications. I am rooted and unlocked on a stock MoPho ROM. I also tried uninstalling the market updates and using Titanium Backup's Market Doctor.
Thanks for any help.

That's odd. Do your apps display on market.android.com?

This -
sounds like your gmail account might be jacked up. Possibly using on more than one device? I mean you can use it on more than one device - I do. But I am not sure if it would do something like this in an odd situation.
Yes, they are there on the web market.
Honestly, at this point it seems like a backend issue with Google.
If I search for an app that's installed, it shows up as installed. It will even tell me it can be updated if there is an update. This is on the phone Market, not the web.

You may want to check which GMail acct. The market is using when you check your apps. I have 3 accts on my phone, and the same has happened to me, because the market switches them from time to time. You can check by going to "my apps" and hitting menu. You'll see an accounts option. Hitting that will tell you which acct the market is using, and allow you to switch back to your primary.

Me to but I think it happened when I installed an updated market.apk.

I've had the identical experience starting the day before yesterday. The account is correct and i even deleted my other account just in case. I tried uninstalling the market update and freezing the updater but that gives me an error message when i go to My Apps and crashes the market. A few apps will show on my other account's but not nearly all.

I just updated my market to 3.3.1.1 and no change except instead of a completely white screen, it now tells me "Applications and games owned by this account will appear here" and no apps are shown.
market just started doing the same thing. Never happened before. Weird...
happening here too
Is anyone having this issue on the 3.3.1.1 market?
Do you mean 3.3.11?
I haven't experienced it yet. But it happened to me a few times on the previous version.
I just went to data/data/com.android.vending, deleted everything, deleted data/dalvik-cache, rebooted and everything synced perfectly afterwards...

Yes. the 3.3.11 I hit too many periods. I haven't had this issue either. Nor did I ever with previous versions of the market, so I'm not sure, that is kinda strange.

I posted just before your post the new market didn't change anything.
Hm. That is strange. And clearing cache and such didn't work? Do you possibly have a backup of before the problem started?

Just installed a ROM which already had 3.3.11 included first 2 times market crashed then it worked it was showing al my apps, but after reboot again blank.

I have this problem on both my EVO 3D and HP TouchPad which is running CM7. It started on Monday or Tuesday.
Both have the same gmail account configured. I have cleared market data and even went as far as performing a factory reset.
I have to admin, this problem is pretty annoying.
I filled out the contact form a couple of days ago but haven't heard back from anyone: http://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/bin/request.py?contact_type=market_phone_tablet

Stock 16gb here.
I got it installed
I now have two market apps installed. It did not override the tablet market. Also, I don't have access to the movies section.
I tried it and uninstalled it within a minute or so. Obviously not optimized for tablets. will wait for official release.
Agree...looks good on the cell. Not so much on tablet. But it is working..

yea I have a feeling this is the same apk for both the mobile and tablet because it works better on my TB than my GT 10.1
even then, it is alot slower compared to the previous market so idk if this is worth it just yet
Damn...i broke my market. I uninstalled the new one...old one seemed to work until i try to install an app or load my apps. Then i get a com.Google.android.finsky force close. Ideas anyone?
Edit: a data wipe and restart fixed the issue.

yes data are not the same so have to clear it before installing the new one or after uninstalling it.
finsky is FC for me
I screwed up my market by installing then uninstalling this and wiping market data in settings and a reboot didn't fix the issue.
Market runs but when I click on the "My Apps" in the upper right I get a FC.
Can anyone send me the market vending files I need to push to my Tab's system/app folder to help me fix?
(and yes I know I am an idiot by not doing a Titanium Backup of Market before installing the new one).

See post #7 - Should do the trick.
Thanks for trying this out and reporting back, guys. I installed it on my Nexus S without issue but decided not to pull the trigger on my tab.
Looks great on MT4G. I will wait to install on my GT10.1
This is going to sound really stupid but the new market (the tiled, dark one) is so slow it's unusable, regardless of which rom I'm using. Things will load eventually but I'm talking 4 or 5 mins per page to load. This is on my normal Huawei router.
By chance I used a different brand of router (at home, same line, same connection speed, etc) yesterday and market loads normally without any slowdown. Back to my own router and it slows right down again.
So my question is, what has changed in the new market that makes my router unable to load it properly? The old market loaded at normal speed, as it should. I can't change routers as the one I was using was just for testing purposes.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Try checking for router firmware updates, then try resetting your router.
Which router are you using?

Thanks for the suggestions, I've checked and it's on the latest firmware. Have also reset the modem but nothing changed. It's a Huawei H520b. I tried a D-link router yesterday and it loaded the marked perfectly.
It sounds like the new market uses some sort of different security settings or something, that my router can't handle. I'm not very techy so wouldn't know which settings to even look at!
Go into settings find the market and select uninstall updates. This will take you bacl to the previous version.
Then grab a program like Titanium Backup Pro and freeze the market updater in the list of apps and then you can stay on the previous version as long as you want...

Thanks, sorry to be a pain but I can't find anywhere to uninstall updates. No option for that, only clear cache. You did mean settings > applications > manage applications > market, or am I in the wrong place?
Much appreciated.
Try Freeze "Android Market 1.0" by Titanium... It work for me
my problem with the new one is it doesnt download more then one app at a time, in reality its better bc they will download faster but i like seeing them all at once lol

I don't have an option to uninstall updates...strange. I should have mentioned I'm not using stock, and I think the new market was included as standard with the Home Base rom I'm using.
I'm going to try to install the old market from an .apk file, see if I can revert back, then uncheck the update function, as suggested.
No big deal, I was just hoping there might be a setting I could change somewhere so I could use the new market.
Thanks for all your suggestions guys
That's a shame because for some on other custom ROMs, they can still use this method.
Oh well for anyone else that's interested. Settings->manage applications->market->uninstall updates.
This is the screen that you should see then and hit uninstall updates in the top right hand corner...

I did freeze the market updater, but I occasionally find the new market back again. Then I restore the old market from Titanium again. I tried the uninstall updates, but it didn't look like the old market so I did the restore. Anybody have any ideas?

Yeah, Alien
Thanks for info on reverting back to the previous market, the new one was driving me nuts.
So typically my apps will automatically come back but this time they didnt.
I wiped before I installed MIUI, and under "My apps" it only shows the apps I paid for, not the free ones. So I lost a ton of apps and I cant remember them all.
Any ideas here?

Titanium backup would have made it easy for you. It doesn't rely on backing up with Google. Do you have sync active? If you backed them up with Google you should be able to get them back. I'm not too sure because I use tibu

I rarely see my free apps in "My Account" on the app, but if you go to website you might see them.

Ok, thanks. I got them back from TB. I had no idea TB would install the app for you, I always thought you installed the app from the market and then restore your data in TB
I am running the new rc1 download for ultimatum ics. I can download, install any apps but I cannot purchase any. Gives me the unable try again later error. I had no issues with beta 3 version, the market worked fine but the newer versions all give me the same error. I have wiped cache, cleared dalvik, tried full wipes before installing the new versions of ultimatum. Tried going into app management and clearing the play store data and cache as well as Google frame work and clearing that data (it was a suggestion on Google's help site). I restored to my beta 3 backup and the market worked perfect again, then tried to install rc1 back without a wipe and the error occurred yet again. Any other suggestions?
OK, I think I may have found the issue but still cannot fix it maybe someone else can help. I used the play store online to purchase an app. It still gave me an issue. It said that this account hasn't been used with the play store on your device. I don't understand how when it is the same account my phone is synced with.. seems as if the market isn't recognizing my account on my phone.. any help? Thanks
Try logging out of ur google account(s) and then clear market data. After log back in and i think it should work.

Yeap.
OK went menu-settings-accounts/sync and removed the Gmail account. Cleared market app data tried re-entering market. It asked me to sign in.. I did that and still had the error. I also restored my beta 3 backup again and verified I had the same account. Tried installing beta 4 after that no wipe and couldn't purchase anything after changing to 4. Something seems to be getting cleared or messed up during rom change. Just can't pinpoint it.

Well man I appreciate the help. I tried pushing an old and new version of the market. Didn't make a difference, I've tried every sequence of deleting and installing with no luck. Only thing I've found different is if I flash back to icscrewd (what I had ran before this) it works fine. What I notice though is after it asks me to sign in to my account after the full wipe, when I do so on that rom it tells me the account was successfully linked with ultimatum it doesn't it just proceeds with loading my data.. but apparently no one else has this issue so I'm clueless.. thanks for the attempts though
Just had the issue. Fixed it with installing market not play store. And let it update to playstore by its self and problem solved for me.

Omg thanks so much, I got it figured out! When I pushed the original market apk it would force close so I pushed the play store apk and still had the issue, so I reinstalled the market apk and went into titanium backup and converted the market file into a system file and that got rid of the force close then it updated on its own after a few and all is fixed now. Thanks for your time man!
I use GoSMS and recently learned the devs made the stupid decision of removing local backup of sms/mms so I had to restore a previous build using TB. Is there a way to hide GoSMS from the Market so it's not always showing as needing to update? I don't like it showing because I'll always have to be careful when hitting 'update all' when there are a bunch of updates, not to mention getting the 'update available' notification.
There's a option to break market link with Rom toolbox im not sure but tht should work
sent from my marvelc with cm9
you can use TB to detach the app from the market as well, just long press the app for the menu to pop up
I tried detaching from market via TB and it didn't work, even cleared the market cache but no go. Might have to look into ROM toolbox even though I already have apps that do what it does.
After you remove the market link, boot into recovery and wipe cache/dalvik-cache. Try that.
