I can run OSX on my Ace. It's pretty laggy at times but I managed to get it done.

You've kind of opened yourself up to riddical here. In answer, yes and no. Gs2 uses android, so do we. Could you take its firmware and use it on are phone? No, the hardware is completely different. It would brick your phone. But some simular spec phones we could, its not as simple as flashing there rom on are phone. It needs to be ported. A good example of this is nims11s current sonyericsson port. The way to look at it is we take half there rom, half ares and combine them. Its not that simple, but its a simple way to think of it.

Developer are also human they also want rest

Well jusada you have to take a look into this mattervery soon as BehradGH is working pretty fast and hope we can have asop soon.
porting miui wont be the same as compiling cm or aosp as its closed source. need to decompile and recompile everything one by one. moreover originally its only for armv7 with hdpi, will be tedious job to port to ace which is armv6 and mdpi
Anyways , if it's AOSP you want then it's AOSP you'll get
KUDOS EmoBoiix3 for providing AOSP. Thanks mate in advance.

No, its going to be alot harder. But the new kernel is the first step. Im gathering information as we speek about the porting. I believe miui has been ported to other armv6 mdpi devices so thats probably my first port of call. But im not expecting anything to happen soon. I'm really new to this and am fumbling around in the dark a little. But i'll do what i can.

The current boot.img that we are using doesn't boot (after changing a significant amount of files) , so maybe we might need to use a different kernel .

I see, i know you can use aosp kernal for cm and miui. But i wasnt sure if it worked vise-versa, plainly it doesnt. To be fair, of what i can find out there is no true miui port to mdpi anyway, greenmods came closest with the galaxy 3 and even that isnt a real port. If anyone can correct me on that i would be greatful.

I hope it works because we don't really know how to make a kernel

Im not sure this is really worth it as miui launcher requires a diferent framework to all other roms. If your going that far you might as well port the whole thing. Have you tryed to flash the zip?

If it will work it probably best to use cyanogen. The zip has the framework in it. Just make sure you backup first. It maywell work straight off the bat. But i very much doubt it will on standard firmware.
(Edit) scratch that, this is designed for 2.2 and will not work on gingerbread. Also galaxy 3 is ldpi not mdpi. This will also make it look bad on are phone.

may also not work on stock rom
thats why i post thread to port it to our device by dev who is expert in porting like this

There's already a MIUI Launcher available on XDA dude, check this out..
Well it aint really MIUI's original launcher.. Close, but not the real thing. You might want to use some additional theme though.. considering not all icons are themed out of the box.
But Im quite satisfied with it, runnin smooth on CM7 without any FCs whatsoever.

because if they put vanilla ics on it then it will be called Nexus S as both of them have same hardware only GOOGLE name backs up nexus...
and samsung dont want to update it as 18 months past releasing S as its not profitable to those *****es

but there will be porting of cm9 to ace by the developpers here in xda

I have been searching the Internet if there is a Gooapple Rom (iOS clone based on Android) for the galaxy s2 but I couldn't find one.
Do you know if this exists? If yes can you post the link? If not, maybe someone experienced in porting might pick this up? The original Roms can be found on http://rom.gooapple.com/
In case you are gonna flame me why I'd like to see an iOS Rom - why not? Android is about the freedom of choice and the more choise the better
