I just checked for Updates today and got this update: 1.27.531.8. (It was not there yesterday when I checked).
It says it's a System enhancement and bug fix update. (screenshots attached)
My phone was on 1.27.531.7 earlier.
Not sure what all things are fixed or enhanced. I do not see anything as of yet.
Hopefully the 'Back and Home button not responding always' issue is fixed.
Wow...Googling this reveals...nothing! You might be the first
I also got this update and could not find any info about it.
Well it does look like the 'Back and Home buttons response' issue is fixed! Normally for me the Back button would stop working like almost every minute of using the phone. Well I used it for about 10 minutes now and the Back button seems to be working fine so far!!
Earlier, just hitting the Back button a couple of times repeatedly would cause it to stop working. Now it seems to be working good. This is really great!
I have the update as well. It looks like it is not the same update as 1.29 because it is like 220mb less in size lol I wonder if we will ever get that update or if we are going straight to 4.2.2 with those updates baked in.
Capacitive buttons fixed. My screen resolution seems slightly higher. Hard to explain.

The clock widget I use appears slightly smaller in size but sharper. A lot of the blink feed tiles that had a slight blur have resized the image to appear sharper. Phone seems slightly more snappy just overall.

Okay, finally get the update.
It seems I have uninstall some stock apps which are causing the update to interrupt...
This problem solved once I reset my phone to default.

Hi everyone, I am curious am I the only one around right now that has trouble updating this one?
Once I select install and it reboot to a phone icon, then it stops, showing a red triangle above the phone
Here's the picture I cannot post the link...;(

Any solution to this?
(Just got my phone yesterday, didn't root or anything.)
Quick question my HTC One is rooted and I got the update but it won't update am I unable to get the update? When I try to install it just goes to Recovery and then I rest it and I get that it didn't install.:crying:
Our is their a way I can just flash the update?
http://www.ubergizmo.com/2013/06/t-mobile-htc-one-receiving-minor-software-update/
I've not noticed any difference except for the capacitive buttons. Still wish they'd fix audio notifications being sent through speakr and headphones
Too bad that the update didn't fix the Google Now location service bug . Wonder when or who is going to fix that issue.
I tried two of the 4.2.2 roms today and neither of them had the option for Wifi Calling (TrickDroid and Android Revolution). I'm not sure if it was because the ROMs are based on the international leak...
It's a fix for the dual Mic's. It helps noise canceling while on speaker phone. It may address other issues as well but that is the purpose of the update.

1.27.531.8 For HTC One
I just picked up this phone today. After reading this forum, checked and I have this version. Not sure if it updated while things were setting up or it came out of the box with it.
they also added sweep panorama mode.
Capacitive buttons definitely feel better, I used to have issues getting double tap (to bring up recent apps) to work properly, but now its no problem.

It's had that from the beginning.
I just received the update and when i reboot to install the update, it takes me into the recovery and the update doesnt finish. Has anybody found a way around this? Is there a way to remove recovery?
I finally took the courage (putting aside fears of bricking the phone) and decided to upgrade my Canvas HD to 4.2.1 all by myself .
So I went through a few tutorials on here and realised they are more or less the same, and decided to use this one.
I did get the device upgraded, but not before going through some troubles.
Firstly, the SP tools wouldn't stay stuck at 0% even after clicking download and connecting the device.
(Turned out I needed to install the MTK Vcom drivers.(I had already installed the Mobistel Cynus T1 Drivers).
And after that, to my horror, even the TP upgrade it seemed had failed .
Was showing a message saying 'TP Upgrade failed' or something similar.
The OK button wouldn't work either. (NO, I didn't touch the phone while TP Upgrade was in progress. Left it alone for a good half an hour)
Removed and battery and put it again and booted up the phone. (I was bracing my self for a touch-less phone, as reported by a few others.)
To my surprise, the touch was working, and the OS was updated to 4.2.1.
However, I'm not a 100% satisfied with the upgrade.
The colors and clarity of the screen seem a little off.
And I even see a set of blurry pixels just below the notification bar. (I only see this when I am on the homescreen. When I open the app drawer, they go away)
Also, I've set swipe as the lock screen protection. Previously it used to have 3 icons - camera, google now and of course unlock.
But now only the unlock icon is there. (attached screen)
Can anyone help me out here. Has my upgrade gone wrong somehow?
Has anyone faced similar issues?
Should I re-do the process? I'm worried about the TP Upgrade ruining my phone.

the face that you're able to use the phone normally now shows that TP upgrade has already completed good. the lockscreen of android 4.2 shows only the unlock ring by default. it doesn't show others. so it's all working fine. you don't need to worry about any of it, unless your apps start crashing. regarding the colors, you say it becomes normal when the app drawer is opened, which means it's not really a problem. stock wallpapers are not that good. try changing the wallpapers.
The issue related to colours is persistent, i.e. it doesn't go away after I open the app drawer.
You can see the screenshots I posted in reply to this thread.
The colours were definitely not like this before the upgrade. Something is definitely wrong.
I don't know if it is due to some new economical backlight features added by micromax, but turning that off doesn't help either.
I even installed the MIUI rom by ahishek kumar, and that doesn't seem to solve the problem either.
I would definitely like to revert all of this and then let the mmx service centre take care of this.
Do you know how would I do that? I guess I can revert to the backup taken using CWM before installing MIUI, but how to downgrade to 4.1.2 then?

Try re-flashing the stock rom and maybe this time you wont get a tp update and your device will work just fine

If you want to downgrade to 4.1 just flash 4.1 stock rom using sp flash tool.you can refer to this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4Kkj_R9Rq8
I noticed a problem the last days with auto-brightness. It goes up to bright mode fast, maybe within a second if i put it under a lamp, but if i take it to an entirely dark place it remains to bright for even more than a minute or forever, until i hit the lock button and unlock it again. After unlocking it's always in the right brightness. I am not sure if that had begin after i tested an app called battery test utility which had some strange behaviour and i unistalled it instantly. It happens the most times right now and i am in android 4.3 official ota mk release which i must say made my phone faster and better in any ways. Do you think i need to do a factory reset? From my known i have no app installed that interfere with brightness settings.
Hi, same problem here, using I9300XXUGML2 clean install.

At least i am not the only one here! Have you tried the Yet Another Auto Brightness (YAAB) from play store? I tried it and it works really good and i am sure now it's a software problem not the hardware. But i want the build in function and not having a third party app installed... Have you done a factory reset after upgrading?
As you mention I don't like other applications running for a function that must work in the original ROM, not a big issue but a problem there. Also did a factory reset a couple of times and the problem persist.
Lets hope it will get fixed in a coming update.

Hi folks!
I have an issue with my Samsung S9+(G965F) display:
After locking the screen and reopening it, my display turns into a blurred, whiter color everywhere, menu, settings, no matter what I check.
These issues came for the first time after the Android 10 update from April 2020, now I got the latest update on the 30th of October 2020 which didn't fix this issue!
My software version is G965FXXUCFTJ2/G965FOXMCFTJ2/G965FXXUCFTJ1
Security patch level: October 1, 2020
One UI version is 2.5
Android 10.
After hours of Youtube, forums and other sources I got a temporary solution for this:
If the Always On Display is set to Show always, then after reopening the phone has its original color like it should be...weird! If I tap the screen after locking it then the AOD appears as well and the colors are fine.
The problem with this solution is that if I lock the screen and want to reopen it quickly in 1-2 seconds (before the AOD comes up on my screen) then the display color is once again blurred, whiter.
The problem appears only if the AOD is off or appears too late on the lock screen.
I have tried also many solutios but until now this is the best that I found.
Other tried solutions:
Google Play Books app, blue light off doesn't work!
Samsung factory Blue Light filter settings doesn't work!
Display settings don't fix this issue!
No other themes are installed, only the Samsung stock, blue theme is installed on my phone!
After I installed Nova Launcher I tried to find the Night Light app in it , but I couldn't.
Maybe in the old Nova launcher version there was one but now there is not.
Wipe cache partition delete, doesn't work!
Reset and Factory Reset doesn't work!
Check the attached screenshoots which were taken with an S8 because my S9+ takes just blurred, whiter screenshoots, strange!
First and third photo are after AOD appears on the lock screen, 2nd and 4th are without AOD on the screen lock, blurred and whiter!
Any other ideas maybe?
Thank you in advance for your replies (hopefully I will get some) and sorry for my poor english
Love , peace & understanding!
Best wishes: adrianonimus
Find app called "OLED Saver" and install it. It's available on google play store.
App will control your phone light but before you start using it turn on your screen light to maximum then adjust from app to what ever level you want. I had similar problem and this worked for me, using it for more then 2 weeks, not happened even once after.

Hi ivica122!
Thank you for your reply, I tried this app also, not so bad, wonder if the factory brightness has to be set always at max, how will this influence my battery....any observations about that?
In fact my problem will be if I want to sell this mobile to someone and have to say something about this whiter screen...
I was waiting for the latest software update with big hope that this bug will be fixed, but unfortunately they didn't....
At least with this app I can turn off the AOD
But anyway, this is a solution, but still waiting for a software fix or whatever...
Thank you for your answer, have a nice day.
Yes, it will be a problem if you want to sell it, i also hope some update will fix this but starting to doubt.
About battery life - with oled saver you can lower down phone brightness as much as you want, you can even use auto brightness from oled saver, it will keep your screen problem free and battery will be used like you lower down brightness from your phone. I didn't notice any difference. Look at the app like override of phone brightness functionality.
You know what, maybe you can try downgrading it to the latest android 9? If that fix a problem you can sell it like that, because when i was reading about this all people that has a problem said that problem started after upgrading to android 10.

Hi! Just want to inform you guys that even with the latest minor updates from the last 3 months I still have this problem, I'm now on the latest version: G965FXXSEFUA1
Android 10
One UI 2.5
Security patch: 2021.February 01.
So no fixes here at all.
As I said before, my phone display colour is clear only if I open the phone with the AOD always on, so that I can see it.
If I will open my display before I see the AOD, (1-2 second) the colours are blurred, whiter, so no change here at all.
If I don't use at all the AOD then the display is always whiter, blurred!
My phone is not rooted, I don't want to root, and the OLED Saver app is only a kind of solution...of course the display is better with this app, but if I will sell my phone I will have to say something about this issue, so I'm afraid I will not get a good price....
I want to change my phone and I want to believe that this issue is not a common problem on other Samsung phones, even if I read about this problem affects Note 9and 10 also...
So, help me GOD!
I'm not in to this anymore but have you tried to find the way to downgrade it to android 9? Here on xda? I will try to find.

I will try to make once again a factory reset, but I have so much things which I have to reset and reload etc.
Anyway, I will update this thread after, hopefully it will fix this.
BTW, I want to change or to buy a new Samsung S20 FE or Samsung S10+, which is better? I guess the S20 FE model worth better...
Don't know which is better but root is not required for downgrade, if this tutorial is true. I am downloading last android 9 update from samfrew.com and will give it a try:

OK, but for me is not so easy this, I use my home also for work and if I do this with Odin the security changes will stop for my enterprise stuff....so only the factory reset is my solution, anyway let me know about, thank you.
Factory reset will not delete that? I'm not so sure I think it will delete all installed software and remove all logs and cookies and stuff like that, but good luck, i'll downgrade mine as soon as i have time and will write here if the problem is solved.

Tomorrow I will make a factory reset, I will tell you what's up after, waiting for your downgrade result, thank you.
Btw, if your downgrade is successful you will upgrade also to the latest Android 10? Or you will stay on the 9?
I already did factory reset to my phone a couple of times and that didn't help, because the problem is in firmware and some people noticed that problem started with ui 2.0, which is part of android 10, so i will not upgrade again to android 10, i will stay on 9, i don't care about android 10, i really don't see much difference, i only want camera firmware upgraded and that happened with latest android 9 for this phone (night mode, for example), that's all i need so i will be very happy if 9 is working like i remember it, with no screen problems at all.
I don't know why i find this now and not earlier but it seems that samsung phones can't be downgraded, at least not from android 10 to 9. I bet people who new this are now laughing instead of telling us that it's impossible but i just tried and failed, you can't downgrade from newer binary to older. So oled saver app will have to be enough.
This is very disappointing from samsung, first they update my phone with faulty firmware and then don't allow me to go back to older one that was good.

Yes, I guess is only possible if you root your phone before the downgrade, I saw here something about, but I will not try with my phone as I'm not interested, I just wanted to know if somebody else has this problem and maybe there is a fix for it, unfortunately it looks only this OLED Saver app is an option.
Same problem. Been using oled saver for a while now. Works, but I'd rather a cure than a band-aid

So one more of us Did you noticed when this problem started? With android 10 or earlier?
I honestly think mine started after I dropped the phone. I could be wrong.
Here what i found
Hi everyone
so I have a Pixel 6 mobile phone, and recently the camera started crashing and not working properly, this happened after a beta update was installed (or at least i noticed it after that update), the camera starts for 1-3 seconds and then crashes, and after observing its behavior I have noticed that if I started the camera and immediately switched to x0.7, the camera does not crash, however when I switch to X1 it usually crashes, so I reflashed the device with the latest public build (i quit the beta), and then I noticed it doing something weirder, when the phone is fully charged it usually crash not as much as before but it crashes, however when it reaches lower than 65% charge the camera starts working normally and in any zoom value.
i know this is not a lot to start with but i was wondering if anybody had any issues with the camera recently or had crashes like i do
please give me your thoughts on what might be the problem.
and thanks in advaned
Edit 1 : i have noticed that when the phone is hot the camera works perfectly however when the mobile phone gets cold it starts crashing so i tried holding the camera with my palm for a couple of mins and it actually works after that and then stops again when its cold and when i say cold its not freezing cold its around 10 degrees
I have crash with my pixel 6 camera also. It crash and then phone reboots.
My phone is under warranty so I'll try to see with google to repair or change it.
Some people have issures with camera, but not every users as I see.
Settings -> Apps -> Camera. Top right corner click the 3 dots and select "uninstall updates". Your Beta update is probably not suitable for the P6.
The other possibility without uninstall updates: Force Stop -> Storage & cache -> Clear storage.
After that, back to Apps -> 3 dots in the top corner -> select "Show System".
Search for Pixel Camera Services and do the same and delete storage like above.
Cheers

I have this problem on A13 stable stock ROM for months.
I have it also on custom ROMs.
So my P6 go back for RMA to Google.
Let's see if it'll be better after that.
