Someone knows me from gsmhosting, someone don't know me here (just search about me D). I wanna introduce NEW SEMC ERA. Just in pleasure for xda I started new project FOR FREE! Yes you heard me: FREE! Not need setool2 (which is best box ever, and my thanks also go to laser and MANOLE), no need any single credits, even no INTERNET CONNECTION. Flashing of ALL S1 SEMC platform never have been easyest for free users. (sorry to all for my bad english but you will be happy with my development). After some time thinking I decided to start free developing for SEMC after all wars on gsm scene. All users need at least try my tool which will get updates every day- YES EVERY DAY (not allways but will be good). I am new at xda, but I promise giving you best support!
That is my short storyline. Lets go see what is this?

This is unique tool for semc Quallcom, OMAP3430 and PNX6513 platforms (more will be added later).
Q&A
Q: What operations are supported?
A: Flashing, android gesture lock reset (on omap3430 also and pnx6513), read gdfs (to prevent dead phones), write back gdfs backup (if get bricked phone write back gdfs backup), edit gdfs addon to edit some strings in gdfs without writing script, identify (detail show all about phone) AND AT FINISH SIM UNLOCK (not included in v1.0.0 version - having fully documented solution but my research arent finished-need some money for finish- but will be unlock implemeted 100% for FREE!!!!!!)!
Q: Will this be allways free?
A: yes at my pleasure to all gsm people I am putting this free and updating free.

Will have a play when I get home. I think most people will want the unlock to be included.
Also, how does this affect the unlocked bootloader. If people use this can they still use the bootloader unlock process.

x10_unlock ready, sorry to say it is not public now. setting public when handle at least msm7227 (not take long if get enough money to buy some documentations. I think maybe xda members can donate, but will see. Also if know any info share it or PM me for info or donations.

Opening the S1 exe with 7zip gives a bunch of DLL's and tries to install them (tried it in 2 different Sandboxes).
Didn't look further but some more expierenced user may have a look to it.

all things work with the new methods, I am rogers as well, and love the rooted xxxx23 rom
the updated rooting instructions on the main post are just fine. all u need to know before u start is that u should have SEUS installed, im sure u have becuase u've updated ur phone to --20. so to get it to --23 all u have to do is download the packets and follow the instructions closely and it shouldnt lead u astray . u should end up with a 23 firmware + working headphone jack + a phone that says its an x10A.

Headphone problem
Hi, I have the x10a rooted with R2B0023. I installed the market fix and now my music is always routed to the external speaker, never to my headphones.

1st of all, thanks to all the developers / forum members for getting thru this rooting business and procedures.
2nd:
I read the procedures over & over again, and will attempt to "root" my rogers x10a phone tonight after work.
Just a few questions / clear-up required:
(1) I have updated my Rogers X10A thru SEUS to the following:
Model Number: X10A
Firmware Version: 1.6
Baseband Version: 1.1.25
Kernel Version: 2.6.29-rel / [email protected] #2
Build Number: R2BA020
(2) The main root topic, found with the title of [GUIDE] Root your X10 R2BA023 ! { Update 06.07.2010 Nicer Instructions }, it's updated, all the *.cmd step #1,#2,#3,#4,#5 is updated to reflect any problems?
(3) After going thru all the steps, my phone will have the R2BA023 build, with X20a model name & baseband will be updated as well to 1.1.26 /1.1.27 or so?
(4) Can this "rooting" procedure be completed on 64-bit Windows 7 Laptop system, I know I have to dedicate the same usb port for the entire rooting procedure?
(5) I typed the MMS/GPRS settings manually on a WORD DOC, and after ***sucessfully*** rooting, I just have to re-create the profile right?

I just went through the rooting procedure on my X10a (formerly running the 016 Rogers ROM). Everything went well.
As for your question regarding the procedure on a 64bit Windows system: just follow the guide here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=713457) for getting Java 32-bit running on your system before you try the root. It works, and will prevent a lot of problems.
Otherwise, it's all pretty much correct.

what's the story with that and relation to the X20a that I have, not X10i?
(2) under the troubleshooting, problems, feedback on the rooting procedure, people are stating there is a problem with the accelerometer ? Is that true?
Since you have sucessfully rooted, did you experience any problems whats ever?

I tested this afternoon, and I don't have any problems with the headphone jack. My headphones worked as expected, as did my bluetooth MW600 (which I also tested just to make sure).

Hmm... haven't tested yet. Gimme a sec to load up Abduction!... Just finished the first level (I really wish I had backed up my games) with no issues, so I'd say it seems fine.

Nope. Unlocking and rooting are two completely separate things. You'd be fine.

Hello, I got an unbranded X10 mini that says it has an OTA update available.
Saw this request over at swedroid.se and thought I'd see if I could help.
Note that this is my first Android phone so give me the n00b treatment

So if one of the two guys is able to do me the tcpdump, i can release root for the people which are still on 38 firmware.
Then we only need a way to flash all people back to 38

Hei Im joining in from norway. I also have a x10 mini with same firmware as noel, the norwegian guy
All who are able to do please do a tcpdump while downloading the firmware over WLAN.
You can also use windump if you are a windows user and have a monitoring mode enabled card.
If you have dd-wrt it would be the best. Because you can install tcpdump right on it and capture all traffic!
Please send me your logs after dump

and the phone says there is an update avialable.
making a tcd dump could be a bit difficult since I am not using my pc as WIFI source. I will check if it is possible. Since I am a windows user I am just familiar with wireshark. I hope it wolud be sufficient to capture the complete traffic of the WIFI adapter.
BUT
I could also mybe capture from the x10 mini if this is possible. I don't know how, yet. is there an app? or maybe we could use adb somehow. I will check the sdk for a possibility to log the tcp traffic if there is no app yet.

I will try out the win7 tool connectify to configure a accesspoint on my laptop and cap the update of the mini when I am home (~7pm GMT+1)
If your PC has WIFI card, you can try to use any linux live-cd router to setup MINI WIFI connection through PC. And it ready to tcpdump.

Please note that the android can't use Ad-Hoc mode (computer-computer),only infrastructure.
Any versions of Windows and MAC can make only AD-HOC network.
Another way is put PC WIFI (or LAN) card to Monitoring mode (use sniffer, PCAP), but this way maybe some hard for Newcomers.

the mini wasn't able to recieve adress from connectify and i do not recommend this tool, anymore
I did try VirtualWifi and can connect to the pc, but the routing just worked for some minutes and now I tried to start capturing but it fails getting DNS response on query:

Bootloader unlocking is possible and easy
Usb on the go , u mean sd card mounting ? U can do it via apps from the play store
or use pc companion

Hello everyone, albeit I have a substantial experience with Samsung Galaxy devices, I am new to the world of Sony (Ericsson) Xperia devices in the Android universe.

A friend of mine has entrusted with me his Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, to eventually root the device and consequently flash various compatible firmwares, albeit there is seemingly a glitch with his device which I will mention below.
I intend on discussing my queries related to the aforementioned device within this single thread, rather than create separate threads for multiple queries.
Coming to the glitch with my friend's device, after it is powered on, the Sony Ericsson logo keeps reappearing, and this I presume is a bootloop, right? Thus, I thought I will try and attempt to get it working by flashing a stock firmware using Flashtool. But before I begin, I have a few basic queries pertaining to stock firmwares.
How do I identify which country's/region's firmware is existent on the device?
Can I use a stock firmware of any country/region I desire? If so, am I correct to believe it would have to be a generic kit and not a branded one?
The device details of my friend's Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 are as follows -

Hello Friends, as I described in my initial post, my friend's device is stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo. His device was never previously rooted or flashed.
I am up to try my best with your expertise of course, to revive his device and make it usable again. Hence, I have downloaded the X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_GLOBAL-GGL_GENERIC_1232-9897 stock firmware from the [Completed]X10 Stock Firmware Collection thread by THeLogiC, and have also successfully installed Flashtool 0.9.10.1.
I am following the [25NOV][FLASHTOOL GUIDE] HOW TO for n00bies - G-FACE GUIDE thread by Crowds in order to flash the stock firmware, but I seem to have hit a roadblock. When I launch Flashtool, there is no indication of Connected device: as is depicted in the aforementioned guide. I have attached a screenshot of my current working with Flashtool.
I humbly plead for your help.
It says usb debugging us turned off this needs to be turned on but the phone wont boot up past SE logo right? Try repairing the phone with PC conpanion from sony there might be a link for it on here somewhere if not try looking for SEUS software to try a repair the phone

Try repairing the phone with PC conpanion from sony there might be a link for it on here somewhere if not try looking for SEUS software to try a repair the phone

I apologise for my very "noobish" behaviour! It turned out, the battery charge of the device had exhausted whilst performing the repair via PC Companion.
I charged the device to full capacity and executed the Sony Update Service, which successfully revived the device and made it progress beyond the boot animation. After that, I successfully flashed the Global Generic stock firmware and rooted the device via Flashtool.
I do have perhaps, another naive query! How do I ascertain that the bootloader of the device is locked/unlocked?

I think you need to use s1tool to check it not 100% sure though if its a capital R its locked and if its a small r then its unlocked I think search on the forum for it plus threes guides for unlocking bootloader aswell if needed

Since multiupload servers are dead, and there's no other better place to ask: Do somebody have the x10a 2.1 Generic firmware? My phone cannot be unlocked so it's impossible for me to use the cutomized 2.1 roms that can be found here. To me, this rom seemed to be better than 2.3.3 in terms of speed and stability so I want to downgrade with Flashtool

No, nothing. It doesn't exist anymore (web).
I know it can be extracted from Octopus or Medusa service box, but I do not know anybody with these
